Dave_ON Posted May 20, 2009 Report Posted May 20, 2009 Hmm interesting poll. I find i interesting that the Queen is playing second fiddle to Dr. Suzuki. Also I'm suprised that Rick Mercer is in the 10th spot. I also find it odd that the GG is absent or is she ranked in the list but not listed here? Also could you please post number 100? Just curious. Shady Posted May 20, 2009 Report Posted May 20, 2009 Somebody hide this from Dobbin. If he finds out that the mad dog fear biter (Dobbin's name for Harper)/Mr. Mean (Dobbin's name for Harper) is the most trusted politician in Canada, his head will explode! Quote

If he finds out that the mad dog fear biter (Dobbin's name for Harper)/Mr. Mean (Dobbin's name for Harper) is the most trusted politician in Canada, his head will explode! Ah, the personalizing of the radical, extremist far right wing. Most trusted is what Martin was when he was defeated. Quote
Smallc Posted May 20, 2009 Report Posted May 20, 2009 I also find it odd that the GG is absent Me too, but it is heartening to see the Queen so high on the list. Quote

Bryan Posted May 21, 2009 Report Posted May 21, 2009 I don't think this is really news. Even Nik Nanos' last poll while showing the Liberals edging ahead of the Conservatives, also showed Harper himself with a 27 point lead over Ignatieff with respect to trust, competence, and vision for Canada. ( link ) That's actually an increase in Harper support since february. We saw this during the last two election cycles as well, that Harper's personal approval ranking are consistently not only higher than all of his opponents, but also higher than the CPC itself. Quote

waldo Posted May 21, 2009 Report Posted May 21, 2009 I don't think this is really news. oh the keepitsimple desperation ok - for what the "poll" is actually worth, it's surprising none of the right-wing climate change deniers keyboards didn't explode with Suzuki ranked as the "most trusted"... hey now... would Stephen Lewis (#4) not be considered a politician (/diplomat) - oh no... he's NDP - more keyboards exploding!!! as for the "poll" itself, it's an online poll... of an isolated group... that's purposely signed up for "surveys"... in return for "rewards" - certainly not skewed in any way and while I'm on a roll, that Harper trust extends so far as to have allowed a 30+ point swing gain for Liberals since Ignatieff took the keys... notwithstanding the ever present need to remind that the trust of Harper has repeatedly failed to allow the granting of that ever elusive majority. you're welcome... carry on Quote

Moonbox Posted May 21, 2009 Report Posted May 21, 2009 It looks like someone just cannot avoid the immature personalization he so openly denounces. Frothy mouthed extremist? Far Right wing? Mayhaps the forum community's contempt of dogmatic and unquestioning support for the Liberal Party is starting to chaff? I'm picturing an angry man pounding on his key-board, red face-paint smearing with tears, while candles burn in the background around a pentagram with a Michael Ignatieff idol in the centre. Sketches and designs for a spaceship lay scattered around the room. Keepitsimple Posted May 21, 2009 Author Report Posted May 21, 2009 Ah, the frothy mouthed angry extemist, far right wing response. I don't quite understand why Liberal Posters in general, are so angry.....puzzlingly led by Dobbin. They finally have a leader that they seem to be comfortable with, they've received favourable news in the polls....but yet they continue to be an angry bunch. Laughingly, Dobbin's been using the term "frothy mouth" but it's his own ilk who seem to be frothing. Quote Back to Basics
daniel Posted May 21, 2009 Report Posted May 21, 2009 Keep your friends close, your enemies closer. Yes, we trust Stephen Harper, that's why even when everything went right for him in the election including a weak opposition, he still managed only a minority. We trust him enough to keep his covetted majority outside his grasp. Quote

Are we to presume that you voted for Stephen Harper hoping he got a minority so you could make sure he didn't get a majority? It is the Conservatives who in government seem to be an unhappy and dour bunch. They seem more concerned about attacking than governing. Quote

I don't. I bet if you went to the street and asked people who the GG of Canada is you would find 1 in twenty who would. Alta4ever Posted May 22, 2009 Report Posted May 22, 2009 Acts like a mad dog sociopath. Isn't sociopathic behaviour being unconcerned with the consequences of ones actions? Yet Harper is the exact opposite in looking to get the right response from his actions to win him favour with a segment of the voting public? So your label isn't even accurate.
