benny Posted April 30, 2009 Report Posted April 30, 2009 Oh, sarcastic fool. You seem to have forgotten that Khadr's trial will continue in June... Yes, there is still a show trial, a military trial, off and ongoing, and that there are Canadian Lawyers involved in said trail... perhaps if you pay attention to the facts, you'd be less of a buffoon. Keepitsimple Posted April 30, 2009 Author Report Posted April 30, 2009 Sure, as though you know better than top legal experts in the US or Canada. Hey Mr. Superiority complex, if they have a case, let them bring it forward. But they did not. They have no case. The rest is just your "beliefs", which are useless to anyone else. The case will be tried starting June 1st....then we'll finally see the evidence......let's be patient a little longer. Quote Back to Basics

If the Canadian immigration policy would do too much efforts to screen out potential terrorist families, I can only imagine the World becoming a place so divided that Canadians would stop caring about it. Army Guy Posted April 30, 2009 Report Posted April 30, 2009 I find it interesting how so many here can consider someone guilty without proof beyond a reasonable doubt. What would be considered beyond a reasonable doubt, him being captured after a fire fight that took the lives of serveral NATO and Afghan soldiers, the fact that an recently fired AK -47 was found no more than a few feet from young Mr Khadr. then there is the fact that within the ruins of the bombed out compound NATO soldiers found plenty of evidence of bomb and IED making materials plus serveral tapes, one staring our young man mr Khadr making IED's and then planting them, even bragging about how he waqnted to kill NATO and American troops.....the tape also stares a few of his buddies, however they were killed in the same fire fight.... In Afghan he was guilty enough to have been shot, and yet here we break out the emotions and suddenly he is just a kid, with rights of a nation he barely knows, with moral values he does not share but rather wants to destroy.... We already know the outcome of any Canadian trail, it's been pre written with his brothers....it does not matter if you have waged war with our nations soldiers, it does not matter if you have committed treason to the very nation you claim as yours....it just does not matter, we will harbour them all, and treat them as one of our own.... Quote We, the willing, led by the unknowing, are doing the impossible for the ungrateful. We have now done so much for so long with so little, we are now capable of doing anything with nothing.

M.Dancer Posted April 30, 2009 Report Posted April 30, 2009 and that there are Canadian Lawyers involved in said trail... Try again and you might get it right. There are no Canadian lawters in the trial. He does have Canadian lawyers...whether they are "experts" in military law is debatable...but they are representing him ....in Canada... Khadr's Canadian lawyers, Dennis Edney and Nathan Whitling, who have worked on a pro-bono basis for Khadr since 2003, continue to represent him in Canada and as foreign attorney consultants at Guantanamo Bay. http://www.thestar.com/News/World/article/613668 Quote RIGHT of SOME, LEFT of OTHERS If it is a choice between them and us, I choose us

Actually i love the country, it's a lack of faith in our justice system, and the lack of faith of the people to stand up for what is right. You do know that he has brothers , and they also where involved in the fighting and terrorist activties in Afghan, and none of them to date have been accused or charged with anything. And yet here they sit in Canada ,CSIS checks cut ,medical bills paid, welfare checks cut, living the dream.....sound like justice to you...I wonder just what our wounded soldiers recieve for thier services rendered.... One of the brothers is awaiting extradition. A brother, Abdullah Khadr, is being held in Canada on a U.S. extradition warrant accusing of supplying weapons to al-Qaida. http://www.realclearworld.com/news/ap/inte...e_s_return.html Quote
benny Posted April 30, 2009 Report Posted April 30, 2009 One of the brothers is awaiting extradition. Omar has two more brothers: -Abdurahman Khadr (born 1982), he is co-operating with the United States intelligence community. -Abdulkareem Khadr (born 1989), he is a paraplegic following a Pakistani attack that killed his father. Radsickle Posted May 1, 2009 Report Posted May 1, 2009 You seem to have problems with reading comprehension... So you're not part of the recently misinformed who think this trial's just beginning and that Khadr hasn't been humiliated by the American's show trial for years already? It's not "ongoing", it's a start and stop trial. Before, when Carl Rove controlled it, the trial would be halted while they fired a judge they disagreed with. Now the trial gets halted because a good American President can see how illegal the whole situation is. The current military judge has announced that Omar Khadr's show trial will continue in June. For you to sum it up as an `ongoing' trial makes me think you don't really care. Quote
