bush_cheney2004 Posted February 14, 2009 Report Posted February 14, 2009 (edited) It's so tempting....you trying to convert me to the old way ---- when if you had a problem you just killed it --- yes that was the better way but now we are civlized....right? Just say yes....."thead that needle" ---- very seductive term --- ahhhh the old days when you did not have to waste time talking to a jerk - you just rode in quick and swung the sabre....and off it rolls - problem gone....pragmatism uncontrolled is dangerous. That's the idea...dangerous for the enemy. "Threading the needle" is just jargon for completing a difficult task...a lot goes into a successful strike mission, with known and unknown risks. I think you would be disappointed by the calculated ops analysis of it all....sorry...no Samurai swords. Edited February 14, 2009 by bush_cheney2004 Quote Economics trumps Virtue.
Oleg Bach Posted February 14, 2009 Report Posted February 14, 2009 That's the idea...dangerous for the enemy. "Theading the needle" is just jargon for completing a difficult task...a lot goes into a successful strike mission, with known and unknown risks. I think you would be disappointed by the calculated ops analysis of it all....sorry...no Samurai swords. No not really...the idea is to use mind over matter - to be cunning - and if you want to be totally and always successful in the destruction of an enemy - never posture warn or threaten - strike..even from behind to guarntee success - that is the problem with western thinking when it comes to warfare -- they brag and warn and this lets the advesary take advantage of the pride factor. Mabye America likes to lose in order to prolong the fight that is addicting...I say if you are going to destroy - then DESTROY immediately ---- got a report from one of the kids who was at the Museum last night - the Samuriai swords looks spanking new...amazing what folding the metal a thousand times will do - and polishing it for a hundred hours - good weapons are made by artists not teckies. dub Posted February 18, 2009 Report Posted February 18, 2009 Yes...Israel can thread that needle with air power given the right "full spectrum" support. The nice thing about aircraft is immediate bomb damage assessment and directed follow-up strikes. bush_cheney... for a gun slinging cowboy, i'm surprised you support a guy who dodged the draft and another guy who went snorting coke instead of doing his military duties. are you an armchair cowboy? DogOnPorch Posted February 18, 2009 Report Posted February 18, 2009 are you an armchair cowboy? My friend, BC-2004, is a veteran of the USN nuclear/experimental submarine fleet. It is my understanding he is somewhat of an expert on such such weapons (missile boats and hunter/killers) as well as the nuclear weapons they carry. If he doesn't have a cowboy hat yet, I'll buy him one. ------------------------------------------------------------------ Well, we're movin' on up...to the East Side. To that deee-lux apartment in the skyayay. Quote Nothing cracks a turtle like Leon Uris.
Oleg Bach Posted February 18, 2009 Report Posted February 18, 2009 Iran can not have nukes for the same reason that the biker up the street can have a gun and does not want me to have one -- he needs one - I do not..because I have a mind and he does not. America has big guns ---and Iran probably has nukes also ----but no delivery system...because to test them is like screaming out loud to the world that you are about to have or already have nuclear weapons -------------------dozens of nukes are missing from the former soviet arsenal...sold privately ----------of course some are in Iran...why would they not be? It's like having a box of real big exposive shells and no tube to spit them out with....The naive world searches for signs of nuclear weapons develpment in Iran....and ignore the real threat - DELIVERY SYSTEMS IN DEVELOPMENT --- but rockets must fly to be tested------and things that fly can be seen ---- I bet you nickels to dough nuts that they have found a way to test missiles underground... Snorting "coke" and "military duties" are not mutually exclusive! Quote Economics trumps Virtue.
