Ontario Loyalist Posted December 20, 2008 Report Posted December 20, 2008 Palin is a JOKE. I have yet to see an ounce of intelligence projected from her mouth, yet people are so enamoured by her. Run for president in 2012? That'll be a laugh! Quote Some of us on here appreciate a view OTHER than the standard conservative crap. Keep up the good work and heck, they have not banned me yet so you are safe Cheers! Drea
WIP Posted December 20, 2008 Report Posted December 20, 2008 From Sarah Palin's Nov.10 FoxNews interview: I'm like, OK, God, if there is an open door for me somewhere, this is what I always pray, I'm like, don't let me miss the open door. Show me where the open door is. And as Bill Maher said: Yeah, and you know what Sarah, if God leaves that door open, don't let it hit you in the ass, okay, honey? sharkman Posted December 20, 2008 Report Posted December 20, 2008 From Sarah Palin's Nov.10 FoxNews interview:And as Bill Maher said: Could you provide a video link for this quote, I hadn't seen her talk about God so openly. Or is this just one of those 'quotes' passed around repeatedly among left wingers that gradually gets so changed it ends up saying her baby is actually her daughter's child. Quote
BubberMiley Posted December 20, 2008 Report Posted December 20, 2008 (edited) Could you provide a video link for this quote, I hadn't seen her talk about Gord so openly. Or is this just one of those 'quotes' passed around repeatedly among left wingers that gradually gets so changed it ends up saying her baby is actually her daughter's child. Since you're going to make idiotic generalizations about the left, is doing a google search so hard for right wingers? http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/deadlineus.../11/sarah-palin Edited December 20, 2008 by BubberMiley Quote "I think it's fun watching the waldick get all excited/knickers in a knot over something." -scribblet
Barts Posted December 20, 2008 Report Posted December 20, 2008 Run for re-election as Governor of Alaska, or run and win easily and become a powerful voice in the United States Senate? Tough decision. I'd personally like to see her wait, serve a second term as Governor, and then kick out the Democrat currently renting Ted Stevens' old seat. The junior Senator from Alaska, with no seniority, will not be a powerful voice in the Senate, regardless who takes Stevens' seat. Shady Posted December 22, 2008 Author Report Posted December 22, 2008 Come now people. Please don't let your Palin Derangement Syndrome affect your behavior, especially during the Christmas season. Of course she's an intelligent person, with ambition and talent. On her own, with out the backing of any high profile politicians, or relying on any high profile family names (Kennedy, Bush, Clinton), she won political office in city government, mayor, and governor of her state. No, she wasn't steeped in federal/Washington politics, and it showed in various forms during the campaign. Some of her achievements as Governor and Mayor include cutting property taxes by 75%, a $1300 dollar tax rebate to every Alaskan, negotiating large concessions for big oil, negotiating large scale natural gas pipeline, and shaping an $11 billion dollar budget, including 29,000 employees. Like it or not, she has a clear, and easy path to the senate. Where she could become a powerful voice for Republicans, and eventually the senate itself. I know she's not a lawyer, and I know she's not a millionaire, but there's already plenty of those in congress already, including two in the White House. "We worship an awesome God." -- Obama "I felt I heard God's spirit beckoning me." -- Obama "I won't be fulfilling God's will unless I go out and do the Lord's work." -- Obama "Faith is what propels me to do what I do and when I am down it’s what lifts me up." -- Obama "God is with us and He wants us to do the right thing." -- Obama "There is nothing that can stop us because that’s God’s intention." -- Obama "I am an instrument of God's will." -- Obama Quote
BubberMiley Posted December 23, 2008 Report Posted December 23, 2008 Come now people. Please don't let your Palin Derangement Syndrome affect your behavior, especially during the Christmas season. Of course she's an intelligent person, with ambition and talent. I'm pleased to see that the derangements syndrome argument is being used with any political personality, no matter how unsuccessful they are. Such meaningless debating crutches are effective at supporting the heavy weight of an argument that is short on facts or insight but long on emotional moralizing and hyperbole. But I'd feel foolish citing an Obama derangement syndrome, even to those so deranged they spend their days chanting quotes about Obama and Ayers and god. Shady Posted December 23, 2008 Author Report Posted December 23, 2008 Such meaningless debating crutches Yes, meaningless debate crutches such as "Palin is dumb" and "Palin thinks God is talking to her." I'm glad we both agree. Quote
BubberMiley Posted December 23, 2008 Report Posted December 23, 2008 All that really matters at this point, however, is that Palin is completely and totally irrelevant. Her 15 minutes are over, and now that she's been caught "palling around" with drug dealers, we won't be hearing much from her beyond tabloid headlines. bush_cheney2004 Posted December 23, 2008 Report Posted December 23, 2008 All that really matters at this point, however, is that Palin is completely and totally irrelevant.... Correct.....from your vantage point.....Gov Palin (and all the rest for that matter)....are completely irrelevant. Forgive her for marshalling on in "God's Army" without your irrelevant support. Quote Economics trumps Virtue.
Shady Posted December 23, 2008 Author Report Posted December 23, 2008 we won't be hearing much from her beyond tabloid headlines. Me thinks you'll be hearing plenty about her after she's in the United States senate, or wins the Iowa caucus in 2012. Quote
punked Posted December 23, 2008 Report Posted December 23, 2008 Me thinks you'll be hearing plenty about her after she's in the United States senate, or wins the Iowa caucus in 2012. Yah right 2012 will be a split in Iowa between the Fundies, Palin, Huck, and Jindal that opens the door for a Fiscal con to slip in for the win. Romney's 2012 run is assured. Quote
jdobbin Posted December 24, 2008 Report Posted December 24, 2008 (edited) Please don't let your Palin Derangement Syndrome affect your behavior, It seems no less reasonable than Palin Infatuation Syndrome. Edited December 24, 2008 by jdobbin Quote
BubberMiley Posted December 24, 2008 Report Posted December 24, 2008 I'd say about 99.98% of the population would be described as having Palin Indifference Syndrome though. Quote "I think it's fun watching the waldick get all excited/knickers in a knot over something." -scribblet
