Oleg Bach Posted December 12, 2008 Report Posted December 12, 2008 There's also a difference between working hard and hard working...Egyptian slaves working on the pyramids had hard work.... The slave drivers probably said they worked really hard for their pay. The pyramids were not built by slaves. They had three months off per year - and had medical care and good housing while on the project. The way our slave system works is that we hire the lowest - and from that rank we create an upper cast that whips the slaves - above them is an even higher cast that whips the slaves whipping the slaves - They pit one against the other and the whole system runs on auto. People in our nation on the average work for beer and to pay a mortgage..they are all tenants of the banks...the ones that are willing to abuse their fellow slaves are given promotions and perks...It's a very nice slavery with the best slave quarters in the world - but still totally controlled without any form of escape or justice. Quote
Mr.Canada Posted December 12, 2008 Report Posted December 12, 2008 Except it won't be 2400 a year... it's private... and they will be out to make as much money as possible. They will do. This initiative would be partially funded by taxes. 10% of Canadians would do it I'm guessing so that's 3 million Canadians paying $2400 a month which $7 + trillion a year. Keep in mind that not all 3millmion would use the hospital every year but it would be good to know that top of the line care is available when needed. Oleg Bach Posted December 12, 2008 Report Posted December 12, 2008 Does a senior banker work hard or does everyone else do the hard work? Those that have to lay in bed at night and worry that no matter how hard they work they have no peace or good health continue to work hard...where as the banker...well - he really does not do the hard work...but he can never leave the office because there are golden chains around his ankles. I would translate that to it being intelligent or he would not be interested..funny how some want to be elite and pull rank - a rank not earned. I read it the same way. Quote
LesterDC Posted December 12, 2008 Report Posted December 12, 2008 Yes we would be able to pluck the very best doctors and professionals for ourselves and the ones who aren't as good will go to the public ones. ahhhh... Quote
Mr.Canada Posted December 12, 2008 Report Posted December 12, 2008 (edited) ahhhh... It's only fair. The more money you spend the better the Home, auto, TV you can buy why not be able to buy better doctors too. I doubt the Doc's would complain. Obviously in a severe emergency we may allow our doctors to help out. It would up to a vote by the Private Hospital Council when deciding upon our charter if we'd include it. Other wise the injured would be transported to a public hospital, free of course. See I'm not totally heartless. I'll give em a free ride to a hospital, they just cannot use mine. Mr.Canada Posted December 12, 2008 Report Posted December 12, 2008 (edited) So much for universal health care Yep, it's dead and failed. If we do something along the lines I've suggested it would reduce the wait times for everyone. I'm trying to do the public a service here. Would I say these things I say publicly? Not all of them no. IF I did no one would touch me with a 10 ft pole. I have the comfort of anon here. It is not dead and it has not failed.. God bless Canada for looking after the sick who are less financially fortunate. A stronger private sector would only create competition within our own Canadian health care system. Where do you think all the doctors will go? We need to keep our public hospitals competitive and running Quote

We need to keep our public hospitals competitive and running They are messy and not perfect and highly inefficient, but it's better than the American private system that states to the less fortunate...."Got cancer? - give me your house and I will attempt to cure you" - that's about it for private care...doctors eventually become the equivalent of bankers...who fore close on your home if you can not pay - American medical care can only be described as a type of third world commericalization of the weakests and most vulnerable. They have a lot of nerve calling themselves healers. Quote

LesterDC Posted December 12, 2008 Report Posted December 12, 2008 I'm not saying private, stop twisting it please. I'm saying semi private. It is almost as bad.. Private hospitals will only blow public hospitals out of the water in competition. It will create a social gap in our country and eventually, it will look redundant to have a "semi private" system.. Which system do you think will be scraped? Quote

Take a look at the NHL, and NFL and tell me that having a two tier system will cause our public hospitals to go under. Two tier works in other places. I'm trying to do the public a service here. You simply have no idea what you are talking about. None nada zip, but it wont stop you. The new hospital in North Bay is estimated to double to $1B. Now that is serving a large area I grant you, but it will be lacking in specialty services. The Souix Lookout Hosp, very small....$60M Now go and figure what it would cost to build 200 of them from coast to coast? Would I say these things I say publicly? Not all of them no. IF I did no one would touch me with a 10 ft pole. I have the comfort of anon here. No, you fear people laughing in your face. Trust me,it occurs here too. Quote
