Topaz Posted March 7, 2008 Report Posted March 7, 2008 On TV news, seems like the Congress is really peeved at Bush because instead of buying American made defense planes, he's going to Europe and buying the AIRBUS. Does it seem like the 80's all over again? This Congress person was so angry she want to impeach Bush! I wonder who in the Bush crime family has shares in Airbus? Quote
bush_cheney2004 Posted March 7, 2008 Report Posted March 7, 2008 AirBus is a better idea...Boeing's 767 platform is 20 years old and at the end of it's production cycle, which is important for maintenance and parts supply chain. Sorry...President Bush will never be impeached. Quote Economics trumps Virtue.

You don't need shares to profit from Airbus ...ask Mulroney :-) Quote
Cameron Posted March 30, 2008 Report Posted March 30, 2008 I won't get into specifics because most of you don't give a shit, but the Airbus was a better design for the Air Force. I could carry more cargo, fuel, and travel farther. It was a better fit for the Air Force and the 767. Also, EADS will be building a plant in Alabama (if I'm not mistaken) so Americans will get jobs out of this. Its too bad Boeing didn't have something to compete, because they really do build better aircraft. That why I fly westjet when ever possible, it has all boeing aircraft. The 767 is a boeing product, the below link is some of the reasons the USAF are not going with boeing/ 767 Quote We, the willing, led by the unknowing, are doing the impossible for the ungrateful. Wilber Posted April 1, 2008 Report Posted April 1, 2008 What I ment was something that was newer, that could compete. Too bad. Got to admit, I am a Boeing fan. IMO they subscribe more to the KISS principle than Airbus which often seems to delight in engineering for engineering's sake. Quote "Never trust a man who has not a single redeeming vice". WSC
