  1. Q: Liberal Votes Up for Grabs, Who will get them? A: Liberals.
  2. By er, uhm, by what... Just a few of many things..... - Getting the fiscal house in order - 8 strait balanced budgets (First balanced budget in 50 years) - creating a climate for job creation - restoring funding for literacy programs - creation of a prenatal nutrition program - Winning the Quebec Referendum - Billions paid down on the debt (Resulting in lower interest payments) - The Clarity Act - Largest Tax Cuts in Canadian history - Billions added to health care funding - Upholding the rights of all Canadians (regardless of sexual orientation) The GST wasn't just some new tax that was pulled out of the air, it replaced the MST (%13.5). A lot of Conservative Alliance folks seem to conveniently forget that part of it. You all seem to have this revisionist history where if not for the GST the government wouldn't have had any revenue at all. No, the acievements of the Liberals on fiscal policiy has everything to do with their sound fiscal management and little to do with the GST (I'm not asinine like Conservative Alliance folks, so I will say the GST had something to do with it, but not nearly the magic Mulroney bullet the CA's think)
  3. Don't worry I am sure the Liberals will figure out something. They don't want to go to the polls or risk losing the government while the Conservatives are within margin of error. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I hope your right about that, if Stephen Harper got his evil little hands on the reigns of power..... God help us all. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Why? Do you think he would be corrupt and incompetent? Your heros have already provided us with that. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> So incompetent they've managed time and again to outmanouver your heroes in parliamentary procedure, so incompetent they've taken the country from the wasteland that were the Mulroney years and rebuilt it. As for corruption, as I have said multiple times, I knew the Conservative supporters wouldn't support Gomey's conclusion unless he somehow managed come come up with their pipe dream "Every Liberal is guilty just because they're a Liberal" scenario.
  4. Enough with the trolling. Do you actually think Harper is evil? Do the rules of the forum not apply to you? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Why else would I say it if I didn't believe it? And if the rules of the forum prevent me from expressing my opinion, that's fucked up. And yes, I think someone who wants to subjugate an entire group of people based on something THEY ARE BORN WITH is evil.

  6. Looks like we're going to have a fight on our hands. Bring it on.
  7. Everybody knows that. If everyone knows it why are there people wondering if there will be an election before the new year?
  8. There will not be an election before the new year, I'm not being difficult I'm stating a fact. Even if the government were defeated on the first opposition day Martin wouldn't want to have an election over Christmas and would likely adjourn parliament and call the election early in the new year. Everyone is fixated on this 36 day number, but all the law says is that it needs to be at least 36 days.
  9. Well, since about a million Iraqi expats have moved back to Iraq since the liberation... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I keep forgetting what a paradice it is there, what with the Americans running around busting down doors arresting people, bombs going off, etc. Ahhhhh sounds like a nice vacation spot.
  10. No, Scott's objective has been to tell the truth as he sees it (I love talking in 3rd person), Hell when I came here as I recall even you were starting to see the light on how screwed the Conservative party was. (If I remember it was in the wake of Belindagate) But then you fell back in to the abyss. So close to enlightenment...... I haven't been around for a while so I missed out on that converstation, I honestly had no idea these accords had been reached. Oh and in your post just cut to the chase and replace the word "assume" with the words "desperatly hope" The difference is, you would have banned me as soon as you found out I was a Liberal supporter.
  11. BAHAHAHAHAH AHH HAH AH HAH AHHAAHAH HAHHAH HA A HAHHHHHHHHHHH Oh man that's a good one, you should take that show on the road. HIL AIR E OUS! I wouldn't be suprised if it was around 90%, they both seem to share that same idiotic "We're the only ones that could even possibly be right." mentality that the sane people of the country love so much. And....August1934, if I was an NDP plant I would have complained that there aren't enough unionized jobs in the factories that make Christmas toys.
  12. #1 By the time the election is held our numbers will be back where they should be and always should have been: Majority territory. #2 If the Conservatives somehow did manage to win a government Iraq would all of a sudden start looking really good as a place to live.
  13. I love the idea of a Christmas election, all the Far Righters will be too busy to vote! It'd be AWESOME!
  14. My main problem with the Minority government is that it's not a Liberal majority.
  15. Scott, Really, you were surprised? Some public works minister you are!!! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> First of all: Yeah I'm the real Scott Brison, cuz I would be caught dead talking to Conservative hacks on a message board...... Secondly: It's "Public Works and Government Services"
  16. Quit being such an insufferable a**hole and use the real name of the party. F*ckwit. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hahahahaha yeah I'll get right on that, cuz I'm sure if the Liberals changed their names and exactly 0 of their policies you guys wouldn't be on that like a dog on a three legged cat.
  17. It's not like there's anything but air in there to hold it in. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> ....says the guy who didn't even know Muslims believe in Jesus.
  18. Man, I'm just wondering if it's possible for you to be more ignorant. Well, I could be you... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Keep wishin pal I know it's your dream to be able to support a real party but instead your stuck with the Conservative Reformed Alliance Party, (C.R.A.P.) What's the matter? Feel stupid after basically proving how ignorant you are? Can't come up with a good line after you humiliated yourself? Next time you make a reference to something try learning about it first. Heh, no wonder the Extremist Muslims hate the West.
  19. You've got to be kidding me. After months and months of the liberal media trying to supress the Adscam Scandal, and referring to the problems of the "federal govt" (they rarely use the words Liberal Party), and you believe that Martin is exonerated? Think about who was Fianance Minister while this was going down If Martin isn’t crooked, he must be pretty stupid to have missed all this money going out with little or no return. Either way he is a screw-up. The Gomery Inquiry took place only because Allan Cutler blew the whistle on improper contracts being pushed through Public Works by who? Paul Martin and the Finance Dept. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> As I said: "this still doesn't mean the Conservative Alliance will back down, why would they let a little thing like truth get in the way of their mad lust for power?" Give it up, you lost, now deal with it like a man. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You don't get it. Read my above quote again - carefully. I'm constantly amazed at how the left always sticks up for its crooks. Chretien, Martin, Clinton, etc. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I would read it again, but reading Conservative spin for too long makes blood shoot out my ears........ ...........Ok, I put some ear plus in and braved it once again. And I have the same response, nothing could have been said by Gomery that would have exonerated Martin in Conservative eyes, NOTHING. So you hear the truth but you don't believe it. Now who doesn't get it? I assume you will still think it's me but that will just deepen your ignorance. Nothing short of your part and all their fasicst buddies getting in to power and making it so boys can't kiss anymore and giving huge tax cuts to all their rich friends could ever satisfy your hunger for revenge, the revenge against the Liberals for having the audacity to run the country without these concepts.
  20. Oh, the irony of that statement, coming from a Liberal. I'm certainly not surprised that the commission exonerated Martin. There didnt' seem to be much evidence pointing to him in the first place. However, it is still the Liberal Party that committed perhaps the greatest fraud in the history of the country - one that is imperiling the standing of the federal government in Quebec and emboldening the separatists. Thus, the Liberals must be thrown out, at the very least to send a message to the party that its arrogance cannot be tolerated and that the interests of the Liberal Party and the interests of the country are not the same thing. Otherwise, Canadians have absolutely no right whatsoever to complain about corruption in government if they keep voting for the party that allows it to happen. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I know that you hate the Liberals and all, but try to take the 4 brain cells that you have and work yourself out of this "Guilt by Association" nonsence. Otherwise I'll start thinking that all Conservatives hate those "Jap Bastards" a la Stephen Fletcher. You see what I mean, do you see how ridiculous you sound? Oh I'm sure in your mind you can justify all the B.S. CON spin you hear as the righteous (emphasis on right) pulling out their magic sword to slay the evil Liberal dragon. Fuck why do I even bother, trying to talk common sence to a Conservative is like trying to teach a dog physics.
  21. Man, I'm just wondering if it's possible for you to be more ignorant. First of all, Muslims also believe in Jesus Christ. Although they don't believe he was the son of God, they do believe he was sent by God, along with the prophet Muhammad. I'm not even religious and I know that. http://islam.about.com/cs/jesus/f/jesus_quran.htm Second of all, I think the most Honest politician to walk the earth was my former MLA Jim Smith, and the most Brilliant was John F. Kennedy. I'm not even a big fan of Paul Martin, I would have perferred Frank McKenna or Brian Tobin to succeed Chretien, but on his worst day Martin is still about a billion times better than Stephen Harper on his best day.

  23. Oh my God ... I'm so sorry! I didn't know that this thread was about the last election. I thought it was about THIS election. How could that have happened, you ask? I will tell you how! You see, I have a dirty little habit of snooping on what other posters are reading by going to the attendance section and clicking on "Last Click" button. Then, by clicking on the topic others are viewing I view what they view. I just hope that the poster who viewed this 2 year old thread yesterday at about 2 pm steps forward so that there is no doubt in ANYONE'S mind that this was merely an honest little mistake on my part. Thanks. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It's ok man, you made a horribly stupid mistake. Happens to all of us... Well no, doesn't happen to me but I mean it happens to Conservative all the time
  24. I couldn't agree more, Let's start with the Conservative Alliance, Move on to the NDP, and finally the BQ We'll let the Indies stay so we have someone to argue with.
  25. I know people like to read what they want into things, but Gomery said nothing about blame. He said that legally he and all the Quebec ministers are entitled to be "exonnerated". That does not mean Martin holds no blame. The fact is, only a very few said Martin should have known because of his role as Finance Minister. What most said, and what the majority of Canadians believe, according to polls, is that Martin would have known because he was the head of a massive power block in the Liberal party, much of it centred in Quebec. There had been strong public rumours and information about the sponsorhip program for years, which is why the BQ asked repeated questions about it in the Commons. There is no way Martin did not know, unless, of course (and the longer we see him in action the more credible this becomes) he is a complete, blithering imbecile. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Oh my God......... How plain do they have to make it for you people? Does Jesus Christ himself need to come down and tell you? Hell I bet you wouldn't even believe him!
