  1. Quote We can't negotiate with terrorist but we can let them go and forget what they have done, and be ashamed that we did not stand up and fight for him and his rights....in the middle of fighting for our own rights that he was trying to take away....i don't follow this logic...
  2. This site may prove helpful , unless you don't like sources form the Cdn Airforce. My link
  3. here are some links to do a comparison. My link My link My link My link My link
  4. You've yet aswered the question, how do you explain the wars prior to 1967, when Israel did not occupy Palestine. was it racism then, was it because they were bullies....did they have any illigal settlements, inquiring minds want to know.
  5. Eyeball. Now that shit was funney.
  6. So your postion is that this guy knows more than the rest of the Airforce chain of command, Not to challage a full Col who's expertise lie in manging the F-18 project, yes he would very knowledgable in the intel he was exposed to...but how much is that? i would not take his word over the subject matter experts with full access to all the details...
  7. so did yoyu mind when military budgets were slashed to fund other depts and programs, resulting in our current state of affairs.
  8. Peter F. So your suggesting i have no proof, proof that would hold up in court...your right i don't but then again thats a double edge sword, niether do you, you can't prove one way or another that if he could have escaped his life he did not take it... Lets get the record straight, yes i did say all those things, how ever if you want me to provide valid source i can so it's not just what Army guy is saying but they are proven facts.... And yet what you fail to mention here is what about all the days prior to this one event, are you trying to convince me that since he was was a wee lad there has not been one oportunity to leave, what about the day before or the day before that...you wnat me believe he could not of got up in the middle of the night and slipped out, making his way to a police station , Afghanis army camp, any NATO camp, or embassy... That day in the compound your right his fate was sealed, and yet because we lack combat CSI teams we can not prove if OMAR took part in the fight at all, but if we were to take what you had just said onto account, he would have been forced to, would he not....forget about the grenade...just being in the building made him a target, being armed made him a valid target, to which deadly force could be applied. And i pretty sure that day he did a great deal of praying and soul searching... What did he murmur to the american on scene, shoot me, kill me now, in english, which is what started this whole thing, they wanted to know how this kid spoke english...it is what saved his life... My piont was he did, have ample time to escape yet he did not...does not mean i full of crap,NO, nor are you because i disagreed with you. Your right , there is no CSI teams on the battle field but lets look at the the big picture, the night his bomb making / planting vidio was made the next day a US convoy strikes an IED in that same sector on that same road ...not hard evidence, but we are beginning to draw some lines and connect the dots...as part of that IED stike and others in the same area, they conduct sweeping patrols in hope of finding a IED factory...and BOOM during a routine search 3 afghan soldiers are shoot down while knocking on their door, they rush outside and engage, guess who, their US mentors...who bring down the rain...lots of rain...After everyone is down or dead, they begin collect all the intell they can gather, because in less than 30m mins their will be more bad guys, what do they find bomb making shit lots of it, vidios guess who guest stars, child star Omar, who is part of an IED team, what did we say about these teams engage them any where...any time, Book em Dano ... No that is the known history of our little man Omar, but what about what we don't know how many IED has omar planted, how many NATO soldiers has he killed or maimed, I know i Know, your making shit up, you think Omar is going to tell us that, i mean i did work ijn a IED factory that is what they do for a living....and how long did he work there...this was not his first rodeo but that is just guess and specutlating on my part, we assumed he sat in this village doing little kid shit until the day of the attack....and yet he was foced to stay, according to you by gun piont or threat of death, but we assumed he eat, slept, and shit nothing more, and yet we have him on vidio making bombs and planting them....those two things alone is a death sentence in Afghan. a Pri one target, they will use the big guns on pri one.... So Ladies and gentlemen while you sit in your computer chairs feeling sorry for MR Omar, there are hundreds of kids in Afghan who are in Omars shoes or still are....who don't get any tears or concern who are serving their time in an Afghanis prison...and we want us to feel sorry for Omar because he spent some time in Gitmo getting 3 squares a day, playing x box all day...Afghanis prison you get jack shit unless your family brings it, or you eat slop because that is all the prison can afford...
  9. Sorry but it is a military speak "short term" for Wpn...force of habit.
  10. We've been through this , and everyone is familar with what the international law says about child soldiers. but he is not a soldier he is classifed as a insurgent or terrorist which are not covered under any of the international laws. this has also been discussed at length, hence why the US government and courts proceeded with thier trail. insurgent groups do not follow any international laws nor do most villages in Afghan, in fact not many middle eastern countries do. most middle eastern countries have used children in most of their conflicts as it is part of their traditional values, international laws are considered western rules...take it from there...is it OK to use children in combat well have you seen any middle eastern country up in the courts in the Hague...look at the Iran/ Iraq wars, children were used as mine sweepers, of sorts made to run in front of the troops to find any mines....did that make the courts? why is that ? and whats the piont of having laws you can not enforce ? you think they don't take advantage of that ? those laws are written for western countries and losers of conflicts... How does the CF military handle children on the battle field, the same way as any other insurgent or terrorist is handled. if they are a threat then they are eliminated with deadly force, (read IED teams)if they are captured they are processed with the adults until time and location allows for a detailed search of indentiy as per the genva convention. which means they are treated no worse or better than any regular enemy, unlike many of the claims put in again'st the CF ...however you resist, or get phyiscal your going down and your going down hard...
  11. What is it that you have again'st military expenditures....just over 1 % of our GDP gets soent on our miltary, and still that is to much...You've seen whats happening around the world , i think your a pretty smart guy to know that it would not take much for this crap to reach our shores...Yugoslavia once thought the same nothing can happen to us....the list is endless...but yet you remain convinced that we are superman, nothing could or would happen to us...
  12. What does the Supreme court say otherwise about that he while in Afghanistan he enjoys all the laws that an adult has. He can marry, start a family, carries a wpn, and fights in any conflict he chooses.... The fact he is Canadian did not change any of that, the crimes he commited were in fact commited here in Afghan, and being 15 years old does not change that either. As with any Canadian who breaks the lawe in another country has to face the law and justice meated out by said country, being a 15 year old canadian should not change that either....But nobody has explored that opition as US forces whisped him away to face war crimes
  13. Ok i'll run through it one more time, tommorrow if the military decided we were not required any more, i could not collect EI as i was going to recieve a pension....So it does not benifit me, nor is it security as i can't collect it....that goes for any government employee that will get a pension..... My Pay dept told me if i wanted to collect EI , i could apply for another job, work the weeks required then apply ...sounds like security to me...and sounds like my old insurence company that would'nt pay out....
  14. I get it Army Guy. I think it's disgusting how vets are treated too. Maybe a thread on that topic would be informative to a lot of us here. It's government's responsibility, but we need to understand the facts so we can support veterans' lobbying efforts. Here is were i don't agree, in afghan a young boy goes through a ceramony at age 11 in which he is considered a man, in Afghan he enjoys all the laws that an adult has. He can marry, start a family, carries a wpn, and fights in any conflict he chooses.... The fact he is Canadian did not change any of that, the crimes he commited were in fact commited here in Afghan, and being 15 years old does not change that either. As with any Canadian who breaks the lawe in another country has to face the law and justice meated out by said country, being a 15 year old canadian should not change that either....But nobody has explored that opition as US forces whisped him away to face war crimes...however we are all concerned that the proper justice be served...one of the main reason this is not being explored is well Aghan justice is well... lets say final... At the time he was captured there was noone preventing Omar from just leaving, other than his dead fathers wishes or orders what ever he was dead...Omar was part of a small IED cell, making and planting explosives to be used again'st US troops...in fact he braged in one of his vidios about claiming a bounty for killing US soldiers...can i add that theri sector was not far from were Canadian troops some times operated in.... Here is where reality gets alittle blurred...During that time NATO and Canadian rules of engagement were well lets say very open, and IED teams where a priority target, which could be engaged at any time with out warning...meaning it was open season on all ied TEAMS...NO where in the ROE is any age mentioned, in fact if a soldier felt like they were being threaten they could use deadly force on anyone or anything... So our government has legally given soldiers the green light to kill terrorist of any age...in the case of IED teams on site...so it was OK to kill omar, but once we captured him he was not going to be held responsable for his actions, we as a nation were weeping for this guy....we wanted him back he was a cute little child soldier, who was shot while engaging US troops" those monsters how dare the shot a child, he should be coddled, nutured , give help because we can save him.... I get it i have a son who is 12 years old , so i get it....but we aslo have to understand Afghan culture ,this is common, not because they have been brainwashed, or forced into it, but rather it is what is expected of a man, it is what they want to do...it is not only Afghan traditions but rather a middle eastern one...the cases of child soldiers is very different...where they are forced...some say his father forced him ...His mother tried to talk him and his brother into become suicide bombers, and yet his chioce he refused...so much for for being a true believer...no virgins for him... So while he is under age to be a combatant , by the genva convention, by every law that western forces conduct themselfs, but not Afghanis culture, or middle eastern culture....there they are seen as soldiers... I get it that we are a western military and must follow western laws, and by our laws he is still a kid...but the only canadian law he broke was maybe that of treason. he did however break laws in Afghan where we as a nation have already decided don't count...He also broke laws of war , and is considered an insurgent, which means very little except he is not entilted to all the genva convention laws and regulations....He also was wanted by the US for killing a soldier, as an insurgent not a combatant that is again'st the law period regardless if that soldier was a medic or not....So a military court found him guilty...does not matter if he plea bargined or not...he pleaded guilty and so the court ruled.... The us and Canadian governments come to an agreement to bring him back so he may serve the rest of his time in Canada, great all for it. but he has yet faced justice for 1. being a traitor in Canada, nor has he faced any justice from Afhan.... But what gets me fuming is people are calling for the government to pay him off for not acting quick enough...Are we saying our laws trump all the rest around the world, after all he was a US captive...and we had to wait for that trail to be finished ...If we had not, and be honest do you think we would have come up with anything different , or do you believe we would have released him negating any justice for that US soldier, no Canadian justice served, and well ...screw Afghan justice, we don't like the war any way... I don't have any time for the Omar in the world, i've seen up close and personal what they do and what they are capable off...All because they want to force their ideals on a people that don't want them any more than they want western ideals....they do however like the fact they are not in charge any more, they like there version of peace, to have the freedom to work and earn a wage...perhaps i'm gaded, but to me a terrorist is a terroist, all should suffer the same fate as thier victims...to me justice is "target down".
  15. Well if he is i'd say most of the town is, infact lobster fishing pays out big returns, you have to be a pretty shity fisher men to earn under a 100 k in a season, and mid winter they are all going to the post office to collect their checks...what is the cut of for EI.
  16. yes not funding drug dealers and crack houses...
  17. But we don't mind using tax payers funding to fund other peoples bad choices , you just don't like the government getting in on some of the other action via taxes... Just a question how does this program work if there is nothing to entice addicts to quit...you say treated, how ? do you mean if the over dose they have medical assistance close by is that what treated is, or while they are there are they info, lectured upon what...or do they go behind closed doors to shoot up. And i understand the medical assistance is volunteer work, could these medical assistance be used somewhere else in our over crowded Treatment rooms, just a thought. I wonder if we could start up a program for drunk drivers, give them a place to get hammered and then drive there cars, we can have medical crews stand by incase of crashes ....shit maybe we could fund that one as well...i mean drinking is an addiction is it not.... people are all about smaller government , but not about taking charge for bad life decisions i don't follow the thought process. your right , but thats a double edge sword as well, you should not expect us to fund your stupid mistakes...drugs is one of them personal choices ...like everything in life a common sense chioce... I have no problem with someone going into a clinic or hospital who wishes to clean up...if they leave before treatment is done or treatment fails then your done...you should have to pay for those services....not the tax payer...
  18. But when they do make bad choices we do expect the govenment to clean up the mess and fund it all right....
  19. nice read : link
  20. I guess you hav'nt seen what an IED is capable of doing, and Omar has got a few vidios out on them....
  21. Good question, and in my opinion Canada as a nation decided to send it's troops over to Afghanistan it was not to ensure that the terrorist rights were protected, it was to close with and destroy them, bottom line..Kill them all ..just because one of them was born in Canada does not change a thing... you think he was worried about his canadian rights when he made those vidios, when he entered that complex that was attacked...you think he even gave it a second thought when those 3 Afghanis soldiers were gunned down at the front door, just for knocking on it to ask a few questions....no they got no rights, because they are just dead Afghanis.... ladies and gentlemen what we got here is a Canadian kid in combat shot by those evil American soldiers...who had the gall to shoot him in the back....now what we have is a cause, and it involves 2 of our favorite things Canadian under dogs, and those evil americans...martha get out them god damn signs were going to parliment again.... Frankly i sick of it ...frankly it makes me want to puke...knowing that Canadians are willing to pay this terrorist out millions, while seeing and saying nothing of our own sons and daugthers come home in a box or mangle only to be paid off peanuts...2 rds to the back if that had been one of our sons, you remember those guys born here lived here their entire lifes volunteered to serve his country...gets paid out on average 10k 25 k if they was any real damage done, up to 250 K of course you need to be really screwed up to get that....and we are talking millions for Omar....feel the bile build up in the back of your throat...this whole thing makes me shake with anger....millions indeed, i say Suck my dick as Demmi moore once said..bring him home long enough for all of them to pack there bags, and head for sunny middle east were they can practice their new rights on others not as fortunite as us...
  22. How is it insurance, if you can never collect it, because you would be getting a pension regardless of size...So if i can not collect how does paying into EI bennifit me. or for that matter any government employee, say like those government employees getting their pink slips this year. Yes i'm thankful i'm not unemployed...but then again i chose the profesion , and could have changed anytime...the same choses available to every Canadian.... My sisters husband is a Lobster fishermen in NB, seasonal because he choses to not fish...made roughly 220 k in wages last year and then collected EI during his off time...
  23. I'm not sure how many times you need to be kicked in the nuts before you come to the conclusion it hurts...The guy is a terrorist period, and you can't wash that shit off..you don't change because that is what your freedom costs ...what do you think they have been teaching him while in cells sewing...painting....he has been brewing with nothing but time to think...give him millions screw it make it billions if that is what it takes for the peaceniks to cleanse this event from they minds....shit invite him and his family into your neiborhoods.. What happens to Omar i don't care anymore....If you or him think he is going to gain his freedom when he gets home think again, sure he will able to go to the mall, his church , Mikey Dees for a burger, but remember to most of country Omar is well not well liked, and he will face more of his share of citizens that will let him know what they think...to others he will be the new canadian hollywood star fawning all over him ....on top of all that he's going to have CSIS, RCMP, and any other intel agency crawling around until his house becomes his new prison..
  24. How is it insurance fraud, rather all governmental emplyees pay into EI, and will never get to draw it unless they get a new job and work the required weeks then and only then you can draw it. so EI may be a type of insurence to some but to others if your eligable for a pension you can not draw it...turning it more into another tax. But say a lobster fishermen, making say 150 to 200 k a season can work maybe 6 months then sit home and collect Max EI that sounds fair to you. And while i will be on government pension when i retire , it will proably won't add up to what some makeing MAX EI, for only working 6 months and that is not a problem....
  25. Someone said EI is an Insurance, great but i've worked in DND for 21 years, and have been been paying into EI for the entire time, as i was thinking about retiring shortly i asked a few questions it was my plan to retire and simply take advantage of collect EI after paying into for 31 years. I was told i could not becasue i would be recieving a pension...i would have to retire get another job work for a year then file for EI...insurance indeed, but not for everyone... For what it is worth Boges i do agree with most of what you've posted, if you are collecting EI, and you are offered a job, and refuse then yes you should be shown the door...and i'm sure there are some people who think some work is beneth them, but living off any EI is not going to maintain any standard for long, so any work should be a bonus.... There was a time when i was a kid we did all kinds of work in the summer, back breaking work...today , maybe it is just me but kids are not willing to do it, it means going outside, away from the x box, not just kids but kids as old as 25 are just as guilty...it seems we are becoming a welfare state becuase we just refuse to do it....i think this is why companies have been using this foreign workers program, because they still have drive and the will to work when some Canadians don't...
