So i guess we say F*ck it , lets save some dollars and not check anything i mean we are almost there right now...1 %... So it becomes the largest department in the federal government, what are you worried about some of your social programs getting cut....or maybe we look to tech to find solutions, or some place else.......you guys on the left are to quick to quit and give up....we run a rail line across the country without any modern tools and we can't figure out how to inspect containers in a timely manner...

Well if we include terrorist killed in battle as does Palestinian authority...99,000 Afghanistan civilians had been killed...i guessing that is a lot more than a some....Insurgent warfare is extremely hard to tell the bad guy from civilian population as they all look the same, no uniforms, no markings or arm bands, any one with a weapon was a target...did i mention the civilian population hunt with AK 47...And i'm sure the numbers are way higher...when we use to do bomb damage assessments after an air strike, well lets say there is not much left to any target when it has been hit with 500, 1000, 2000 lb bombs.... so it is hard to do an accurate BDA if all you have is small fragments of what was once a human...we would count rubber sandals for a rough number... The Geneva convention spells all of that out for you...In it it lists a small bunch of places, people, and things that can not be engaged or targeted by military forces...it also spells out that the enemy in this case Hamas can not use those places to hide in or use for any military purposes....and if they do those people, places, or things lose their special status, and Can be engaged if "necessary" depending on the target or priority of that target....... and Hamas is a terrorist network and does not have to obey anything written in the conventions....it is also not covered by the protections of the conventions...meaning that Hamas individuals prisoners of war only have to be handle humanely...feed and shelter as any Israelis soldier is...Israelis soldiers are covered under the protections of the convention, and have to abide by all of them....including not using or hiding in protected areas, etc.... The conventions can be confusing, Im not a convention expert or/ inter national law expert on the rules of war but i am very familiar with all of the polices and Canadian laws that each soldier needs to be familiar with before being deployed... This is one of the problems and why Palestinian propaganda is so good, they count on the citizens of the world to be completely uneducated on the convention and play with you emotions and heart strings...

Having the manpower and resources to just check 1 % of all containers coming into the country and zero % of rail cars, Says it all, and when you combine all of that with reports made up from Border services there is a huge red flag......i mean it could get worse we could not be checking anything at all, you could by those numbers smuggle in a main battle tank on a open flat car and odds are nobody would even see it or investigate it...At 1 % i would have thought a G-7 nation would at least be able to hit the 50 % mark....But some how YOU think we should be able to do better, but it is not an emergency....And trump did not have to rub our noses in that, we has a sovereign nation and a G-7 nation should have had the leadership and knowledge to fix that on our own....But we would rather skip all those responsibilities of having a sovereign nation like our entire security apparatus and use those funds on social projects that are nice to have, That's liberal thinking....As for tariffs you said Carney has all that in hand, that the reason he got voted in for right....so why are you worried about tariffs...

How does any army destroy an organization that hides among the people....without killing civilians...through out history Civilians have always paid the highest price in any war....why does this one have to be different...because it is Israel. Where was the globes disgust when we were in Afghanistan or Iraq...where was the UN and all their efforts to under mine the coalition...It seems like a double standard here...it also seems like the globe has taken a side , and it stands with terrorist...not Israel that is defending itself.

I think Palestinians people need to step up and own the fact that Hamas is responsible for the last massive terrorist attack that has brought this war on the its people, you can only poke the bear so often before you get eaten.......The fact Palestinians have done nothing in the way to stop these terrorists is telling.... Israel has every right to defend itself against these terrorist, and Hamas has demonstrated over and over again it will continue to do so until it is destroyed....and that is what is happening right now...and instead of thanking Israel , most of the globe is condemning them...if there was ever a bias organization it is the UN...that has out lived it's usefulness, in every way...all it does is gives dictators a voice...today it gave terrorist a voice nothing more... The fact that so many UN country's have acknowledged the terrorist Palestine as a state is disgusting , and only emboldens them to continue their war against Israel....

Do you think that recognizing a terrorist state will end that war ? So what does all this hoopla from the UN going to solve....it is not going to end this war, it is not going to make Hamas lay down their arms, it is not going to make Palestinians pick some form of government that is not a terrorist group or origins...

What they are doing is excluding people that have much different morals and values than they do....they are being selective....you say that is racist, (Poland does not care what we think .....and yet they don't have immigrant problems)....and yet some how you yourself are being selective....it is fine to take in women of Muslim decent but not men, your saying take in only those whom are highly educated, but not anyone that is not....how does that not fit into being bigoted against a gender or how much education you have...how is that different than saying we are not going to take in anyone that does not conform to our morals and values....One can be from any where in the world and share our morals and values...How many jews/ gay/ Christians immigrate to Muslim countries, are Muslims racist, or are they being selective... And then how does one prove all that to a person from immigration...is a piece of paper good enough to show education, when we were taking in people from Syria, most people did not have any paper work on them, " lost in the war" no ID , and no real way of proving or disproving who they were and we took in thousands in a very limited time...most of them had spent their family fortunes to get to these camps....SO no money, no way to prove education, no way to prove they were facing persecution immigration people were rolling the dice....half a$$ measure...

Sorry wrong guy, i have ben a long advocate for increasing defense spending along with our entire security apparatus...what i object to is how that funding is spent, and the whole process that is our purchasing department. Who set our gun policies up, who decided not to fully fund Border services or RCMP police, You seem to forget WHO has been in charge in the last 10 plus years....IF the liberals were serious about these policies they would have put funding towards all these crimes, instead they decided to attack legal gun owners who are not the problem...they also decided to attack kids, BB and pellet guns , airsoft guns, replica guns, paint ball guns, bolt action rifles and shotguns...

It is Poland's right to accept anyone they wish, is it being racist, i don't think so, it is how ever their sovereignty and they can exercise it any way that makes sense to them....The EU is not happy about it Poland immigration policies..., but then again the EU has massive problems and Poland has very little in regards to immigration... which shows the results you are looking for...

Why don't you enlighten us....even the liberal party has admitted our immigration levels are much to high... Here in Canada we don't have different levels of citizenship....once your Canadians your a Canadian some have dual citizenship, but all Canadians voices are on the same level.. Just a note we are all products of immigrants , unless your native There are many examples of immigration gone bad, by the people you input into the system, take a look a the problems Europe is having , then compare them to Poland.... Immigration is not the only system that is flawed, there are many ways to get in to this country, immigration is just one, refugee status , foreign students, foreign workers etc . So yes currently we have a huge % of Canadian students and young people that can't find jobs i'd love to hear why that is....and how bringing non Canadians into this country is not effecting those numbers...

Nobody knows what is going on, the US is not happy with anything we have to offer right now...You and i don't know anything about these deals, and certainly if they are going to make sense or not....Carney needs to something solid on the fentanyl front and border, instead of renting a few helicopters.... There is not going to be a deal until the US gets what it wants, we can not afford to keep floating these industries forever before they collapse...That the issue US has got all the time, Canada needs to get a deal done sooner and that might be sacrificing Canadas golden goose, dairy. That would depend on how much is it going to cost in the midterm...bils have been lost to date.. the question is what are we protecting, which industry do we sacrifice in order to keep dairy and others...It would seem that steel and Aluminum are going to be the sacrificial lambs...to protect dairy farmers in Ont and Quebec.. Well conservative have not moved on....not yet not never...Ya he did and the NDP are almost non existent because they traded their votes for liberal ones... The question is will they do that again ?
