White supremacists in Canada's Armed Forces
Army Guy replied to jacee's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
It does matter, for a couple reasons, first reason is internally all members of DND are held to a higher standard because of who they are and what they represent. Military laws does not allow for any member to join or hang around with any racist or hate groups or persons of questionable moral and values , ie murders, rapists, drug dealers, etc... that does not hold the same standards as DND, or any other Canadian dept...plus any political groups of any type. That said there are people who break the rules, as in this .01 percent....Not sure what Jacee intentions were bringing this to everyone attention, other than to stir up some useless shit...The fact remains that this percentage is smaller than other organization including Jacee's conservative and liberal hate club or her Friday night knitting club.... Thats right people even little old ladies can be hateful...cute but hateful... -

Of all my tours that I have done, it is Yugo that haunts me the most, not about what we did , but what we saw, and what humans are capable of doing to each other....the UN mismanaged every aspect this whole conflict from the start, and thousands upon thousands died as a result...in many cases entire villages ,towns, even cities, were wiped out. buried in mass graves in the back country, disposed of like they were no more than garbage... one can only hope they are held accountable in the after life... -

Not sure where your going with this, It was the UN's failure to provide peace that spur NATO to enter conversations with both UN officials , plus all the countries leaders that were involved...No war was ever declared , there was an agreement by all sides concerned including Serbia / and later Kosovo ...with out this consensus it would have been an invasion by NATO forces.. and it was not...NATO was acting as a peace maker not peace keeper, it gave NATO forces sweeping powers....at the time NATO took over there was no peace to keep, shortly after this is when mass graves were found, on all sides of the borders, war crimes had been conducted by all sides concerned, UN/ NATO forensic teams were brought in, some of the evidence was used to convict the Serbian PM of war crimes.. Not sure if any other charges were brought to bare. Not sure what UN forces attacked anyone, the Rules of engagement were so restrictive, that it would make attacks almost imposable, and Canadian ROE's even more so....we were only given 20 rounds and at the end of the day, you better have 20 rounds to turn in, or an investigation would be conducted to ascertain WHY you had missing bullets...Once NATO took over we were issued full war load, plus a full compliment of support munitions cust as , M-72, grenades, 84 mm Carl G anti tank guns, etc etc...plus the new LAVs were brought in and gave us extra fire power, need to enforce the agreed laws and conditions set out by these round table talks involing all the nations involved, NATO, and some UN officials... -

Back in the early days we did not do a 6 month training build up, we were still in the cold war training periods, the first companies to go over where a beefed up November coy, and a Vandoo company, had to be politically correct even then...one English, one French company....shit we got mortared upon arrival, surprised no one was killed on day one....we were never trained for this type of Op....we were trained infantrymen, trained to close with and destroy the enemy....not watch them kill civilians and flaunt it in our faces....of all my tours that one has bothered me the most, told to sit there and watch and get frustrated because we could not protect anyone....even the civilians on all sides could not understand why we just stood there....while they died...UN was more than useless, it actually helped them commit war crimes as the bad guys were embolden by our lack of action.....they did not need soldiers just photo journalist...Not many UN peace keeping missions have been successful...and I'm not sure why Canada celebrates these UN missions.. touts it like some badge of honor....a lot of good people could have been saved had it been a NATO mission from the start....I think the top military brass here in Canada also lost the taste for peace keeping under the UN there as well...that mission changed peacekeeping forever.... I'd almost lost my taste for soldiering , never felt more useless in my entire life....a lot of good people I knew where changed forever and not for the good, they got into heavy drinking doing hard drugs, became shit pumps, and finally kicked out, back in the day PTSD was not something anyone talked about, or sought treatment for, asking for help was for the weak, and women folk...not for really men, not for Canadian soldiers........ .....most of use in our plt had enough by the end of out tour.....I remember the first day when the CO announced we would be sending troops he asked for everyone interested to take one pace forward....The whole BN moved as one...when we got back, no one wanted a taste of Yugo...although I did go back 2 more times it was under NATO....where we could soldier, and the bad guys knew if we were not screwing around....the days of them doing what ever they wanted including murder was over....Those days Canadians could be proud of... -

It's funney how sometimes history is written by the Canadian propaganda dept...And while I'm not going to say"we " meaning Canadian soldiers prevented no atrocities because they did prevent "some", just by being there.......but while under the early years under the UN Banner , we watched and recorded shit tonnes of atrocities, so that info could later be used in war crime courts...BTW very few people were arrested for any war crimes due to our recording and reporting these crimes to New York UN head quarters.. It was this UN inaction that gave the Serbs, Croats, Bosnians the balls to commit even more crimes, and as this conflict wore on, these crimes were actually committed in front of UN peace keepers....Such as the Serbs confrontation with Dutch peacekeepers where they enter a dutch controlled refuggee camp with thousands of people in it, where they were loaded up all military aged boys of 15 years up to old men of 65 onto buses drove them into the woods and killed them, all...these boys and men were under UN protection, in a UN sanctioned refugee center...Dutch soldiers were ordered to do nothing, record and report...Have you ever been forced to watch murders , while fully armed, fully trained knowing you could make a difference ...and then told you can't do anything....it goes against all your morals and values....Same thing happened to Canadian soldiers, in my experience we had to watch men , women and children offloaded by tourist busses forced to wade into a river in chest high waters then smashed in the head with a wooden war hammer, the bodies were carried away by the current of the river....try doing that for a couple hours....and told you could not act, I was embarrassed to be a Canadian soldier that day....I vowed never to do another UN tour in my life time, "and Canada wants a seat at the UN table to do what"........it was not until Yugo was taken over by NATO that things would change....and soldiers allowed to intervene in war crimes...even make arrests.... For most of the time we spent in Yogo, our own allies had nicknamed our battle groups Can't bat 1 and Can't bat 2 because our government did not allow us to do anything that might place us in danger....There is something to be proud of....any danger we did find ourselves , by helping keep the peace was of our own choices, Not reported to official chain of command, because it would mean our jobs...the only exception to that was the Medak pocket, ya goggle that shit...and that was kept under wraps for years.... Not saying there was nothing good every come of those first years in Yugo, because many soldiers just did not ask permission, or report things they just did it and would ask forgiveness later...Like WO Sullivan , 3 RCR who entered a mine field to retrieve the bodies of 2 young boys and their father, who had died trying the same thing , so there grieving mother could have something to bury....he made several trips into that mine field because there was not a whole left of the boys...who had been torn to pieces by a mine while they played soccer....WO Sullivan was the best soldier I had the honor to serve with, unfortunately this incident and a few others like it had broken his mind....he would later commit suicide do to PTSD...like so many others... Yugo was not Canada's finest hour..... -

“At this time, given the extremely small number of CAF members identified as belonging to hate groups and/or being involved in possible hate-motivated incidents, hate groups do not pose any significant threat to the CAF/DND,” it concluded. 0.1 % of the population within the forces where tied to white supremacists/ racist groups "less than the general population within Canada" out of 70,000 members ... -

I disagree one the main reasons we ship out plastics or in this case garbage, is there is no money in it....media reports there is a huge surplus of recyclable plastics but there is no profit to be made from it...Not all plastics are created equal and the low grade stuff there is no market for. -
1. No assumptions, remember the boat people, this was the last time Rural new Brunswick received a large number of refugees/ immigrants. along sides Syrian refugees this year and last...and well 500 or more would not be large numbers in Toronto in Fredericton NB there are huge numbers....and all those that dealt with huge numbers are not in power any more, and for some reason the play book is missing...Mistakes we made on both sides, but things did not play our so well, or as well as everyone thought they would and when citizens complained they were labeled racists....Mind your own business, and let things take a natural course, we have all tried that, and this is where we are now...things have already been splashed all over the media, then silenced...nothing to see here...https://www.ctvnews.ca/canada/record-number-of-refugees-admitted-to-canada-in-2016-highest-since-1980-1.3382444, or it plays out for a few days then buried...things like teachers getting assaulted, etc etc..things have quieted down lately, but their is still some tension.. 2. It is Michael you just don't want to see it...this is not a few people in rural Canada this is a whole province of Quebec. Both in rural and urban centers....that has got to speak volumes...not to mention the majority of Canadians don't want higher immigration numbers but lower also speaks to change... 3. Do you work in a federal dept or building, where things have been sanitized, to make everyone comfortable, no more X-mas decorations, all the names of federal holiday events have been changed, there are thousands of examples of Canadians making changes to Canadian culture to be more welcoming, not everyone wants these changes or is ready for them. 4. Sure there has, but let me ask you this Michael, Winnipeg , Regina has had a very high crime rate for a long time, HAS any PM come out a massive new GUN plan ? And for the most part this has nothing to do with Muslims, but ethnic gangs in Toronto , thats where this pistol ban has originated, and now Justin wants this ban to include various long arms as well, mush like new Zealand... 5. Your right Michael, what was I thinking to be able to sit down in the comforts of my home and exercise some of my rights given to me by our constitution.. This so called best government in the world as you say, have promised by oath to serve this nation to the best of their abilities....not for what is best for their parties but serve this Nation, ....Basically the same oath I agreed to up hold, with payment of my life if required....It seems our nations soldiers are held to a much higher standard...when it comes to behavior, not breaking the law, or abiding by it, or policies set out in our constitution and within government... What do I expect, well I did not expect half the shit the liberals have done this term, passing bills hidden in other pieces of legislation that is clearly being transparent, not to mention some of the scandals, SNC Lavelin, LAVSCAM, lets not forget the firing of the Admiral, the firing of 2 liberal MP's other examples of how government should not be run, and after we swallowed the promise to be transparent, and lets not forget the sunny ways...and the Conservatives, where no different, running up the largest deficit in our nations history, plus lets not forget all their scandals...What do I expect a government that can make decision based on facts and figures, and good research...not what is popular today...doing what is best for the country not their parties, or even getting reelected...What I expect is for our politicians to put in as much effort as the rest of us, not to embarrass our nation in front of the world... You may be happy , but i'm not the only Canadian that feels that way... You don't know me , I'm the guy that served this country for 34 years because I believe in this nation and loved serving it , so much so I was willing to give my life for it... I believe it is the best in the world, I have conservative views, but am not tied to any conservative party, I want what is best for our nation...not what is best for a party.... lately we have been lowing the bar for a long time when it comes to leadership in our nation....yesterday we voted for the guy with good hair, and good looks....not what was on his resume...I mean a snow board instructor, and drama teacher...where impressive credentials , "for the local high school"..... what is sad is a lot of Canadians voted just to get rid of harper, and Justin was riding his fathers coat tails.....and was popular, not because he was the best person for the job...That does not make the best government in the world by a long shot...and while you are happy , i'm not I want a government that works for the people not party, I want one that can make tough decisions and explain them to us laymen so that they make sense, I want a high form of leadership....whats funney is we demand all these things in the business world....but for running our country any hack can do it....I want to trust the government, i'm sick of all the lies and back stabbing, headline grabbing that goes on today...We are Canada's greatest resource, and we are being lead by the next best thing to the pills berry dough boy....

1. Sure it does once every decade or twenty years, and those that coped with it , and over came all the issues that come with dumping immigrants are long gone... 2. Well lets take a look at religion for one, Quebec's banning of showing of religious articles , we have never had a problem with any religious articles until we started receiving a large influx of Muslim refugees. it all stems with face covering and burkas...Canadians are not comfortable with them, nor have we figured out how to comprise, some see them as reverting women's rights , some see them as oppression, etc etc...Lets take a look at some Muslim groups are now pooling their resources and purchasing large sub divisions in Ontario, that are only for sale to Muslims clients. No other group can do that with out being charged with discrimination...or racism, I'm sure everyone can come up with ways on how things are changing not all of them are good.. There are plenty of stupid ones as well, like within the federal government we no longer call the Christmas holiday period Christmas, as it denotes Christian practices, it has been changed to just the holiday period....DND used to have the Men's Christmas dinner, which traditional was the day the upper chain of command would have one day dedicated to the lower rank troops. it was changed a couple of times once because calling it Mens , which was sexists, then Christmas dinner was changed to holiday function...like I said stupid, but they do all add up. Almost every holiday has been changed including valentines day, which left everyone guessing why.... 3. where ever they start be it new York, Paris where ever, once they hit our shores where do they first get seen, our large city centers.......lets also look at some of Canada's big changes like the shootings in Toronto this year , which has turned the page on the nations gun laws....Now the liberals are looking at some major changes...Can you think of anything that might have been driven from our Rural areas, that has effected the rest of the country....In Rural Canada come hunting season everyone has a gun, and we still don't have the issues that the big cities have with murder of gun violence….yes we do have the odd , but not worthy of any national changes. 4. last poll he was 10 points down and falling, but it seems everything Justins touches he screws up, and now he has this big charge to change as much as he can before his final fall...and a lot of it is stupid stuff, like changing the gun laws without debate, how many votes is he going to get with that ? and while you think nothing is going to change , I see it differently I see 4 years of conservative rule, and them trying to unscrew the budget which means the rest of us are going to have to tighten the old belt....I also see DND taking a major hit....and this is just my opinion , I don't see Scheer in power for more than 4 years, then I think we will see one of those fringe parties take over.... 5. the same old stuff every year we get promised the moon and end up with barely nothing except "them" liberals or conservatives" lining their pockets, then their friends, and so on, what we do get is really chicken shit stuff, like the immigration pact, what is that going to do for Canada really, that we don't already do, it seems everything Justin touched was almost useless to our country as a whole, lets not get started on climate change another liberal screw up. I guess to sum up we are tired of Talk....with no action...we are tired of the same old players, with the same old ideas....Change is coming it is happening across the globe...on both sides liberal and conservative sides....and Canada will have it's own version, except more polite, and civil less the Trump drama...

Europe has much higher gas prices but then again they don't have a chioce, which European country is producing enough fossil fuels to be self efficient....Not very many, most are reliant on Russian or middle eastern fuel , Higher gas prices has not deterred them from driving...They still build large motors such as V8, or V16 in the British side, Germany has the autobahn, where you can drive your as fast as it will go , now thats got to be good for the environment.. Are EV cheaper to maintain, batteries don't last forever, all the other components don't last forever either, and when you offset the price of the car to start with are you really ahead of the game, or is it a social thing. When you can get the other Billions of people on the planet on the same page maybe people will give a shit about what happens 50 years for now, you buy what ever car you want , live the way you want, You can preach all you want, but until everyone is on the same page, I think your wasting your time... ....but even if Canada went dark today, it would make very little difference in the worlds environmental health... Must be a lot of right wingers around the globe, you liberals had the last 4 years to make changes, and what was done, Carbon tax, which hold on did sweet f*** all to the environment...collect the tax then give everyone back more than they put in, was that not the liberal line....not a plan for reduction , or use that money on R&D for alt fuel tech, or alt power projects...not tax break on things like solar or wind power. nothing for the liberals....even the greens are changing there minds they gone from not one more barrel produced out of the oil sands, to the new slogan lets burn our own oil instead of foreign oil..... -

eyeball , I love you like a little step brother who takes the short bus to school, or that little dog in the cartoons, can I bark now spike, can I , can I.....please let me bark spike... -
3. Cling, hold on to, I think you get what I mean....Your Canadian Michael, Canadian practices, Canadian morals and values, and cultural traits. 4. Yes they are changing everyday, faster in the city centers than in the rural areas, cities centers have much more exposure and have already dealt with unique problems that come up. then liberals suddenly dump hundreds of refugees into rural areas, it is a shock, to everyone living there, people and government that live in city centers just saying deal with it Nancy....but now they do not like the way we are dealing with it, as they have come up with their own solutions, and of course city people and government don't like them, call them racists etc etc ..... 5. like we already discussed they are changing, and most do not deal with change that well , hence why they live in rural Canada. 7. You tell me, the city centers have always controlled the rest of Canada, they set the tones for fashion, cultural changes, fads, new laws, etc...very little is changed from the bottom up. 8. I know as much as it takes to form an opinion much like you did with "why is it that those who are so opposed seem to live away from big cities? " Rural Canada does not like change and we adapt at a slower pace...So yes they are saying we don't like all these new changes to our being Canadian culture and now city centers are seeing some kick back...to which they are quick to label racism...voting out Justin is a start, most Canadians believe that to be true, all those wannabes liberals are jumping ship, good hair and nice smile is not enough today, along with a dozens of umhs ahhs. And I agree with you that Scheer is not going to be all that and piece of bread, and you'll continue to see more left and right wing parties grow or start up... Canadians are tired of the same old shit only in a different wrapper....and they want change, it won't be like a trump change, but they want a change none the less.

It is a liberal promise made out of desperation, do you really think that those ships are going to survive the cons attempts to balance the budget.....even the coast guard knows it will only get a fraction of those ships if all the stars align........unless Canada wins the Lotto MAX...and the militarization, in Canada thats funney.....it only took us a decade to buy simple trucks....Justin spent all the bank and the cons are going to bring it all under control , you heard Scheer's speech, want something new you have to find something to cut.... -

My assessment is bang on, the people I was referring to were the protestors on the pipeline site, you know the ones the professional ones , like the ones Justin hired this summer.....now if you were one of them then fine, this is directed at you, if not I was trashing eyeball who we have this running bitch fest for years now...Just because you enjoy the great outdoors like nature, pick up some garbage does not make you a tree hugger, it makes you a reasonable Canadian, most people in my area do the same thing and devote many hours on the weekend working on improving our back country....doing the same things....I love to fish, hunt, ATV, camp when ever I can....does not make me a tree hugger... Nice pictures, nice country....but like I said tree huggers are looking for a hand out, nothing more. You claim that kinder Morgan is bent on destroying what is left of your river system.....you are aware that kinder Morgan already has a pipeline there and all they want is to twin it to increase flow....which begs the question, Has the existing pipeline killed your fishing industry ? forest industry ?, any industry? has it prevented you from enjoying the great outdoors you have come to love ? I ask because you have already pointed out the guilty parties here....Fishing industry, and mismanagement by DFO...any protestors headed that way ? I hope you understand that this great nation of ours is an OIL producing nation, it is one that our economy is based on well one of the resources, the main player so to speak....Our GDP depends on producing these natural resources, it is what makes our nation go around...it produces wealth for our entire country, including BC.....Why should we let one province hold the rest of the country hostage ? Today or tommorrow we will still be heavily reliant on fossil fuels...it makes your car move, it heats your home, it provides the electrical power we "all" rely on....and there is no simple solution to the next power source in the near future....many in the science world are saying not until atleast 2050....30 plus years from now... I get it in BC they want to stop producing fossil fuels NOW....and while that might make sense to BC's tree huggers and followers from the green party....the rest of the country like how things are running right for now, we are not ready for our cities to go dark, or to live with out electricity , I know this excites you....and ....I get it your not happy....but this pipeline is in the nations interests....and your opinion does not mean squat when compared to what the rest of the country wants...And that is to twin an already existing pipeline, get it there is already one in place....where I might add has already been paying out dividends to all those along the route...including the chiefs where all the protestors are from....they want more thats the problem they want a bigger slice of the pie....First nations have already announced they want to purchase the same pipeline....you know the keepers of the land, they are one with mother earth, what do you think is motivating them...money or environment concerns....or your great back country you are so fond of.... -
Bull crap, most of the Maritimes voted red last election , and the largest city being Halifax, would not even qualify as a Ontarian town....and yet they're still a murmur about immigrants, I know we are not as sophisticated as you real city folks... it's not about ugly opportunism, and more about some liberal experiment to dump, hundred of Syrians in buck fuc* NB forcing multi- culturism on a group of people that were not ready for that amount of refugees, we knew nothing about Syria, or its cultural practices…. kind of like learning to swim by being pushed into the deep end...and this made it almost imposable for both sides of the equation....add all that to what is happening nationally like in Quebec with illegal immigration and now if we want to slow it all down your a racist , want to tighten up our borders it is racist....You drew the line....and we don't like it shoved down our throat....there is a reason we live away from the cities...to get away from finger pointers.
-
Would you not agree that most immigrants tend to move to these big city centers, where most have large concentrations of their own culture that they know and are familiar with.... with that said the average Canadian living away from these centers are not as exposed to many different cultures, and races...and they cling on to traditional Canadian practices. Which is not a bad thing in my opinion, it's how this nation was built , and it is our history good or bad.......but it is not just these areas where Canadians have expressed concern about old Canadian traditions that are changing as we move forward....and to turn this all around maybe , that it is a lot of city folks that have drawn a line in the sand and are telling the rest of the country, we don't talk about that it's racist.....And are expected to tow the line, after all, what do all use back country folk know...
-
Perhaps you need to get out more, to see all the things Canadians have changed to accommodate immigrants, and a lot of others....before I give you the list, can't get me wrong in a lot of cases these cultural practices needed to be updated or change, merry Christmas, or Christmas holidays in all federal depts. have been changed to "happy holiday" or simple "the holidays", the "Mens Christmas dinner", where senior NCO's give thanks to the Junior staff, is now called the the holiday dinner as it was sexists, and they did not want to offend other religions...... There are thousands of examples where Canadian culture, has been changed to accommodate, immigrants, other religions, other cultures,....Our culture changes everyday, some of it for good reason others because some people have nothing better to do than propose changes... such as, the liberal minded crowd thought it was offensive, or it became some fad that drew media attention... ie statues of past PM's or important people in our history...another would be our national anthem, and "all thy sons command" or other verses within it... I never said we as Canadians do not change the world for the good, what I sad was Canadians are more willing to change to accommodate other cultures ...than most other nations...not enven sure what learning French has to do with the topic , but OK I did not say they were dumb or incapable. in a lot of cases some immigrants fail to learn either French or English because they have settled in a large group of their own culture...Take china town in BC or large cities like Toronto, Montreal, I had a conversation with an elderly Chinese women in BC who had been in Canada for 20 years , and could only communicate in her native language, and used her daughter to translate everything....she is not the only example, there are many...which has got to say something about the melting pot idea....Canada is not made stronger by ignoring everything that is Canadian. They are Canadian by paper documents only...

They started protesting after the disaster happened, not before, so yes the government had to do something to calm the people.....but there was people in BC that did profit from it...the protesters were trying to get their slice of the pie..... And while I still like to make fun of peace niks and tree huggers like you eyeball, by starting up chain saws at 1 am under your tree, I don't feel the urge to bash your skull in, or for that matter any protestor. And there is no payday in it except the enjoyment of watching them climb down from their trees in a mad panic…. How is it different, well tree huggers have a lot of time on their hands, don't normally work, those that do work are not corporate, or institutional material, not very motivated, they like smoking dope, I mean who does not, but they smoke more than the average Canadian, they are hippies, hipsters, slow moving targets, want things handed to them on a platter, they are owed and want pay back.....they think they are doing it for our own good, most will grow out of that phase, some will remain their entire lives....sucking of the nations teats forever... ... Terrorists, well they are industrious lot, willing to do anything for their cause, including giving up their own lives ....they like smoking dope because it helps them perform all the sick, perverted, and twisted things they do....they come in all sizes and shapes including corporate, types, doctors, lawyers, even a few twisted tree huggers " not really I made that up only the tree hugger bit"....and once they grow out of that phase they to will spend the rest of their lives sucking off the nations teats, or dead in some ditch in some middle eastern country.... after a healthy payout because some liberal thought letting them rot in some prison was a bad thing to do, funny how most of the nation disagreed with that pay out...including a lot of liberals....I'd gladly put a bullet in any terrorist head see the difference... tree huggers/ peace niks/ professional protestors are protected by law , you can make fun of them, spray the shit out of them with pepper spray, even throw them to the ground and slap handcuffs on them, and bundle for arrest.... ….but you can't shot them Now terrorists on the other hand , well our nation " this includes you to eyeball" sanctioned the killing as many as our military and our coalition of nations could … we did arrest shit tonnes of them, but the objective was to rid them from the planet when ever we could....all under the orders of our nation....see the difference, ones protected, the other was to be destroyed .. -
I think a lot Canadians are more than willing to give up, our morals and values , traditions, customs, to accommodate our newly arrived guests. And a lot of Canadians feel threaten by that, not only white English Canadians, but Canadians that have been here several generations, and are of different decent ie African American, European decent, assian decent.. There are a few exceptions that after several generations here in Canada although they have soften their outlook a lot, they are not sold on being Canadian, but still hold their old religion or culture as their primary interest...with some examples would be part time Canadians when it is to their benefit...., like say the over 100,000 Canadians in Lebanon...who wanted to be evaced when war was in the air, at Canadians expense, but quickly returned to Lebanon when the rumors of war vanished.... Once the topic is broached , normally after a few beers, true feelings come out, with most being uncomfortable with certain races, and religions, their cultures, and traditions, their morals and values....and find them to actually be a threat in some form to our culture and morals, values etc....I know we have had this discuss already, about what are Canadians morals ,values, customs and traditions, with the liberals side saying we don't have any really....while the conservative side spewing out lists....and asking why is it Canadians are the ones that have to change, and give up our culture, traditions, morals and values...and the immigrants are allowed to interject their cultures and traditions to be made to fell more like home... Some countries the more conservatives ones , tell their immigrants like it or leave it, and they," being the immigrants" for the most part are happy to do it , well most cultures and races are. There are a few that don't want any part of that....they want things and life to be exactly like their home countries are or were like....and in a lot of cases that is what has brought down their nations in the first places...or played a role anyways...We are not one big melting pot, that makes us stronger, but rather a pot with large chunks of different cultures dumped in... Being multi race has little effect in our small military, one it's to small, you speak English or French, nothing else, and in NATO English is the primary language for radio traffic....Those immigrants coming from war torn countries don't normally enlist in our military , being that was what they were fleeing in the first place ,military oppression. Those immigrants that do join are normally 2 and or 3 rd. generation ...normally reserved for white or black immigrants, rarely do you have Assian, or middle easterner recruits and then normally in the reserve units...not so much in the reg force....more women in the ranks than visible minorities...It is getting better, but it is far from being multi cultural....or a slice of every culture or nationality.

Army Guy replied to Canuck100's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
This can't be true, BC is full of tree huggers who love the environment when it might include a big payday, why are the tribal leaders allowing this to happen, why are the peaceniks not setting up road blocks and protesting....How is this any different to the logging industry destroying streams and rivers with untreated chemicals, how is this any different than cities and towns in BC pumping bils of liters of untreated human waste daily into the ocean, lakes and water ways...because THERE IS NO PAY DAY INVOVLED... -
We are Canadian because a piece of paper says we are, anyone can be Canadian if they have enough money, or get selected and approved by immigration dept. or by some politician or PM be it illegally or legally it did not matter up until recently .....Those are not very high standards the government preaches that it is our diversity that makes us stronger, better, not sure how, as once immigrant land after they spend there time in buck fuc* now where , they up and move to centers that are more in tuned towards their own kind..ie china town, little Italy, etc etc...it is here where they don't have to conform to being Canadian, but rather can concentrate on being more like there old countries, or religious back grounds...How does that make us stronger, better.....is it because now I can get authentic Indian food, Chinese food ? You can do all of those things in most other countries including Russia, Pakistan, India, the list goes on.....how does that make it more Canadian

In the grand scheme of things Max is not going to make a difference in this coming election, He might get 3 to 4 % of the vote, Thats not going to make a difference in Scheer's already majority numbers in the polls....Those numbers are only get stronger, as the liberals can't help but sabotage their election run with scandals after scandal....He's well past panic mode... even he knows he is done, and the liberal brand is damaged beyond repair for quit some time. Freeland is not going to be the next liberal Queen...she's going down with Justins ship.... It's the other fringe parties like NDP and Green party that will benefit from voters with now where to go ie fleeing liberals , I mean you can't really tell me both platforms are really any good...or reasonable.. they are just what is second best..... And there is more than enough crazies left for all the rest of the parties....even the liberals..

Your not one of those closet conservatives are you Michael, afraid that Max will shave points of Scheers majority.... I had you pegged for a liberal, or NDP guy.....one of the more level headed people on this forum, except for this interest with Mad Max not sure what it is that you dislike about him. I'm sure if we all had lists of scandals or nut jobs in each party, the lists would be long and distinguished....

It's there all you have to do is go looking for it, and in most large cities it's not all that hard to find....the bils we spend looking after other countries blight could go a long way to fixing ours....what we need is better management...right now Canadians are desperate for a real good leader...Justin leadership skills are in the negative right now...but then again thats what you get when you mix good hair and legal pot....
