Nobody hunts big game with an AR, most gun owners have a few firearms....to fit each of their hunting needs....AR comes in handy with small game like coyotes, wolfs, racoons, beavers...it is also used in sport shooting due to ammo being cheaper, or just going to the range to plink....That's the problem with anti gun people, just the looks scare you...

Well it looks like decades of presidential encouragement has failed in Canada's case. Justin signed a NATO agreement contract to be spending 2 % of GDP in 2014, we were given 10 years to get there....once he was back in Canada he went on the media and directly said he had no intention of meeting that goal....plus made a joke about trump at the time, which went over like a lead balloon...So the question from our allieds at the time was why even sign on to the agreement if you had no intention to live up to it....Now 2024 comes around most nations are on the way to hitting their targets, except Canada who wants another 10 years not to hit 2 % but 1.74... Now thats a nation who needs more encouragement...i'm thinking more like a kick in the ass....and Trump knows he only has 4 years to make stuff happen....so he is passed encouragement.... A defensive organization that see the US paying most of the bills....and other countries like Canada using it as a country club... No thats not the question or the answer..... lets say if the tariffs are imposed what is it going to cost Canadians per day...compared to what it is going to cost to fix OUR porous border....I'm betting fixing our nations mistakes and safety by cheaping out on our border, and then WE have the balls blaming the same border for gun crime, drugs, illegal immigrants, human trafficking...the lst goes on and on and on....Something like our safety is to expensive... Just a question, would it not be cheaper to just do as he asks, tighten up the border....i mean we for the most part have a really porous border....just found out from CBC the other day, no body checks any of the rail traffic coming or going Canada, that very few of the containers entering or leaving Canada are checked at our ports....Even the CBSA and other agencies are saying ya our border security is not that good.... Why not just make a plan to tighten it up invest some money into it, and poof no tarifs it's a win win...why is it Canadians have such a hard time providing security for ourselves...what makes us so cheap...instead of making a plan , we are planning on going on the attack...WITH our largest trading partner....makes sense to me, said no one....

The RCMP, OPP, QPP have all come out on the media and has said this Gun ban is having no effect on gun crimes...this solution you talk about is not working...the problem which you and the government fail to recognize is that 95 % of gun crimes are committed by criminals..."who obtain their firearms illegally" through the states.....So please explain how targeting legal gun owners is going to solve our gun crime issue... Despite all the evidence police services have presented, government and people on the left have already made up their mind guns are scary. and they don't want them, doing anything is better than doing nothing....so they attack legal gun owners, for no other reason than they can...they have to much invested in their cause now to change direction... You can't get a PAL in Canada if you have a health health issue or a criminal record, every single person that owns a fire arms has a criminal record check done daily....Have mental health issues the RCMP will collect your existing firearms...
