He has said he was going to just that, unleash all our resources and make our economy grow once again....i take it you don't like money is that it... He has said already he is going to cut foreign aid and give that funding to the military...more than they are getting with the liberals....who cut the military by 1 bil this year alone...and he has already said the military is not his top priority... You do know it is our nations responsibility for it's own security, not trumps, we have been the ones that decided to let that responsibility slide so you guys could have a few more social programs...well now trump has had enough and there is going to be consequences for being lardards... And who knows what it is going to cost to fix, but what i do know is the tariffs are going to cost a lot more...for you and me....

I agree cancer is a huge problem and yes we spend lots of money on research, but cancer takes way more life's than drugs do each and every year.... some how i get the opinion that numbers are just that when we read them....but each one of them has had a life a family, moms and dads, but in most cases we look past all of that....reduced to just numbers do not force us into action....but i bet if we had 44,000 pictures of faces with bios under them it would mean much more...I guess numbers don't tell the whole story, and for the most part we gloss over them...

At what point do we look at body counts....is it just for kids getting gunned down....look at other stats, 44,000 people in canada or various ages dies every year of drug over doses, our response was to give them free drugs....I wonder why that number does not drive us into serious action.....how about cancer , or drunk drivers, i think counts of any kind are just numbers of some sort, some where along the line we forget that each number represents a person...

It's not up for me or you to decide, there is a limited amount of options here...Continue to spend like we have been doing and having something like what happen to greece happen, where other nations are in charge of your finances.. or cut expenses via spending like social programs, spending funding to other nations, UN , dictators etc....or raise taxes to pay for your new found social programs which one would you prefer to do....Lets not forget about the elephant in the room call the debt...it needs to come down as well...

Well lets do some math...if your 60 billion over spent this year , then and i'm only guessing becasue i'm not a math prodigy you need to find 60 bil in cuts....just to break even....even more if you want to pay down some of our debt...

Well there is always living with those 25 % tariffs, i mean we atleast you will have your dignity right... Last time i checked the federal government has responsibilities to uphold that may or may not be popular with the voters.......border security, and defense are two of those...I don't like paying for car insurance either, but it gives my family peace of mind....and it is my responsibility....right now we are living well above our stated income...and something needs to be cut, we have already cut border and defence for decades, there is nothing left to cut...

No the shocker is blowing past their assigned guard rail of 40 bil....by more than 20 billion....all of this by spending well north of 800 billion in the last 9 years...Some one has to pay for all of this....and despite everything you think you know money does not grow on trees...So something has to go...starting at social programs, and much much more...you can't have what you can't afford...

PP is not going to cut any oil he is going to ramp up all our resources....oil and gas included....He is going to cut funding to Foreign identities, and organizations, cut some of our new social programs, cut the CBC, and if we are lucky maybe reduce the postal service to one pony and 2 riders...cut civil service numbers.... But until he announces his election campaign promises you liberals and NDP support will continue to guess, and speculate that the sky is fallen...atleast for the next 8 to 12 years... and once things get back on plane, a liberal will come in and wreck it all....

According to the polls in his home riding he is losing big time to a conservative....unless he takes another riding from some place else he is done....

I think maybe your under estimating Trumps view on all of this, He has 4 years to accomplish what he needs to, and he is not wasting anytime as seen with the 25 % tariffs... to get us to tighten up "our" borders..do you think calling him out on the media is going to accomplish anything of value....we have seen Trumps behavior before, i don't think this is someone you can joke with, and everyone knows their not on good terms to start with....Yes my opinion....and trump does not have many nothing burgers, even those in the liberal Caucus are telling justin this 25 % tariffs must be taken serious..i suppose those guys are hacks as well... So where is it you want to go from here, do the doug ford thing and rattle the sabers and make threats...Or do what any other leader would do take a look at the problem , see it for what it is really, a huge mess...and put a plan together along with funding and fix it....poof no more tariffs.....a strong border not only keeps Canadians safe but Americans as well...it is a win win.... If only it was that easy, i trained 15 years before going over to Afghanistan and to be in combat for the first time , was i prepared,for most of it, but not all, sure anyone can pull a trigger, but to look at another human at close range through a C-7/8 sight see their face and then pull that trigger is a whole different ball game... then walk up to your target to check his medical status only to see the back of his head is missing, his brains are scatter in the dust...search his body for any more weapons or intel, gather your thoughts and then prepare to do it all over again....The sights, smells, tastes, sounds and touch of war will overwhelm all of your senses, we did not train for any of that...that guy still lives in my dreams..Like i said it is a noble cause to fight for something you believe in such as your country, but it is going to take more away from you than your prepared to give...

Your right, it is an honorable thing to do, risk your life for service unto others...and to do it with others that feel the same way, there is no greater brother/ sisterhood you could be apart of, friendships born in combat are not what you've experienced in your life......
