    Obama has given the internet to the UN. It no longer is controlled by a country with the first amendment. This is extremely concerning. Unfortunately, Trump being an idiot buffoon has taken away basically all media attention from this important issue.

      The American 1st Amendment does not apply to the whole world.   They can invent their own "Internet".

      Obama has not given the internet to the UN.   What has happened is that board of ICANN, who oversees domain names, will now be advised by a panel consisting of 162 nations.    The internet isn't owned by a country such that it can be given away; it is comprised of separate networks who agree to use a common protocol.   I know almost nothing about technology, but even I knew a statement like "Obama gave away the internet" was bunk, and it didn't take long to find out what this was really about.     http://www.politifact.com/texas/statements/2016/sep/14/ted-cruz/ted-cruz-incorrect-about-obama-giving-control-inte/
