  1. You might want to hire an editor to clean up your barely literate rants. And thanks for adding the law on hate speech to the seemingly endless list of things you are nearly completely ignorant about. Don't let that stop your from spewing your self-righteous, sanctimonious insults, though.
  2. You realize it's not 1953, right? The US and UK are evil? Who do you think is better, us? I'm pretty sure we went along with them without any protest at the time. And by the way again, it's not 1953. Everyone involved is dead. And also by the way, every post you make says you're no expert or you don't now much about the middle east, then you go on to make statements which prove it. Maybe you should read up a little before posting.
  3. Let me guess. You're posting from under your bed, where you're hiding in fear of the terrible Harper coming to sing Beatles songs to you. Canada's security processes and systems are far less extensive, and our laws offer far more protection than that of the US, UK, France, Germany and Australia. But to listen to these paranoid raving lefties Harper himself is listening in on their exiting phone calls ordering pizza or their dangerous emails asking others where they can find pirated movies to download.
  4. And you're such an old timer, huh?
  5. Western governments are never going to go for that. The Russians might, however. And of course, that fool Obama is complaining about increasing Russian involvement.
  6. How do you contain them militarily without a military? As he said, Mulcair and Trudeau are dead set against any military involvement from Canada for any reason.
  7. A cautionary tale from todays' Globe, for all you enthusiastic refugee lovers. Sweden's Ugly Immigration Problem Sweden’s fantasy is that if you socialize the children of immigrants and refugees correctly, they’ll grow up to be just like native Swedes. But it hasn’t worked out that way. Much of the second generation lives in nice Swedish welfare ghettos. The social strains – white flight, a general decline in trust – are growing worse. The immigrant-heavy city of Malmo, just across the bridge from Denmark, is an economic and social basket case. Sweden’s generosity costs a fortune, at a time when economic growth is stagnant. The country now spends about $4-billion a year on settling new refugees – up from $1-billion a few years ago, Mr. Sanandaji said. And they keep coming. http://www.theglobeandmail.com/globe-debate/swedens-ugly-immigration-problem/article26338254/
  8. Only if you forget that most of those countries don't allow refugees to be citizens, and don't provide any money for them to live. And if you forget how the numbers have been massaged. For example, he says that immigrants as a proportion of the population, Canada ranks 49th. The only way he can get that number is to base is strictly on one year, forgetting Canada has been taking huge masses of immigrants for decades, and that in our largest cities, those who immigrated now outnumber Canadian born.
  9. You make it sound like he went on a spending spree when he mostly gave it back to us. And there is no chance, zero, that had the Liberals or NDP been in power we would not have run deficits. None.
  10. No, they don't. None of the Christian churches call for literal acceptance of such things today. You can't say the same of the Muslim religious authorities who speak and write about the Koran. They're fleeing war and poverty. It's not at all clear they have major theological problems with ISIS. Nor is it clear, or likely, they have a huge disagreement with the general interpretation of the Koran as practiced in the ME, and how that relates to the treatment of women, gays, and minorities. In other words, their values, based upon a barbaric religious text, are likely to be the same as that of the region - which is pretty damn backwards. I haven't suggested we turn our backs on all refugees, nor that we take no one. You're making assumptions about them which I'm not. Looking for peace? Well, they're looking to get away from Assad's barrel bombs, that's for sure. But that doesn't suggest they want to abandon what they believe are the cultural behaviours mandated by the Koran. I wonder how many of those young men streaming north, if they had lived in an ISIS controlled area (they didn't or they likely would not have been able to get out), would have rejected a pretty young infidel slave girl if they'd been offered.
  11. And according to your own cite only 25% mainly use English! Only half the second generation are bilingual!? And you think this is great!? If I grew up in a state and saw the number of foreigners speaking a foreign language growing every year until they outnumbered me I would be pretty pised off! And that you people seem astonished that anyone would be bothered just shows how incredibly out of touch with reality you are.
  12. Ya, well when you're confronted by the cameras and questions all day every day you wind up stating variations of the same message, which means you might misstate things a little. Clearly front line states are always going to be the largest receivers of refugees. But almost none of them actually resettle them or do more than allow the UN to set up well-guarded camps to keep them there near the border. How do you feel about Canada setting up a large refugee camp somewhere on the east coast and keep refugees there for the next five to ten years, or until it's safe for them to go home?
  13. What if I believe YOU are 'uncanadian'?
  14. While those on the Left are far more generous, with other people's money. How many people arguing so strenuously on behalf of refugees have contributed a substantial sum OF THEIR OWN MONEY to help Syrian refugees oversees or offered to sponsor a refugee?
  15. I get that they're a different class from regular immigrants. But what I'm concerned about is the future impact of bringing in lots and lots of Muslims to Canada because their religion supports cultural values I find barbaric. Muslim numbers in Canada are expected to exceed that of aboriginals within the next ten years, and there's no sign their growth rate is slowing.
  16. You're kidding yourself if you think only right wing Americans are concerned about the flood of Hispanics across the border. The Democratic party doesn't talk about it much because it's courting Hispanic votes, but Trump's anti-immigrant stuff appeals across party lines in the US. There are states, like California, where Hispanics are edging out Caucasians in numbers, and with those numbers they don't necessarily feel the need to abandon their old language to integrate. So you have people who grew up somewhere, and gradually, over their lifetime, find the place filled with foreigners who speak their own language and have their own culture. And you find it amazing many people would feel tremendous resentment about that?
  17. Where have you criticized 'them'? I must have missed it...
  18. Commies didn't blow up our buildings or machinegun children in malls.
  19. What he said is Canada is the largest 'resettler' of refugees. Lebanon does not resettle refugees. That's why there are Palestinian 'refugee's' in Lebanon who were born there, whose parents were born there, whose GRANDPARENTS were born there, but they're not considered Lebanese. Jordan, which the CBC claims is number 2, is the same way. Nauru, which it says is number three, is where the Australians put detention centres for illegals. This is how organizations like the CBC lie, by omission, by inference, or by parsing their words. But that does not make their story any less a lie.
  20. If we'd behaved no better than our enemies we'd be supporting the Syrians, as they do, or Sudan, as they do, or Iran, as they do.
  21. But don't blame Russia or China or Iran for that. Must be the fault of the evil oil barons in Calgary...
  22. No, he supports the regime, not necessarily the man in charge. It makes no difference to the Russians who's heading it.
  23. Oh, only the West? The fact the Russians and Chinese have been propping up the Syrian government with arms and advisers isn't important? You don't think maybe the Syrian war would have ended a while ago were it not for the Russians, the Chinese and yes, the Iranians? Why is everything to be laid at the doorstep of 'the west'?
  24. It's a big world out there. If you can't handle the normal interplay between states then maybe you have no business ruling yourself and should be someone else's colony, eh? The big powers and their agencies have messed around in every country and every continent around the world, always have, always will. That doesn't give the ME a pass on their own vicious, brutal, corrupt behaviour. And btw, most of the current mess there can be better laid at the feet of local nations like the Saudis and Iranians than any outside the region.
  25. People should look at what's happened in places where the Muslim population has grown pretty high, at the harassment and violence towards women and gays from Muslims in the UK, France, Sweden and Australia.
