Spare us your crap, Waldo. These people are coming from the third world, mostly from rural areas, with the poor education you can expect from that. Almost none speak English, and pretty close to zero have any job prospects here until they learn it. At best, AT BEST, you're looking at taxi drivers and shop clerks making minimum wage. Which means they're not ever going to be paying taxes. Which means that in addition to flying them over here, housing them, somehow, and feeding them, we'll be responsible for their health care and the education of their kids for the rest of their lives. Maybe the kids raised here will grow up to be taxpayers, but it's not likely many of these people will.

I'm tired of this meme. It's stupid and has never had any support other than the fact Muslim countries are less happy with us when we went along with their continual, hypocritical attacks on Israel. Even now, with Syria killing tens of thousands with barrel bombs, and ISIS committing genocide Muslim countries remain fixated on pushing through UN resolutions to condemn Israel for human rights abuses. It's freaking stupid and moronic and I'm glad we don't go along with it any more. We don't need their good will if it means acting like a lap dog to brutal dictators.

If I was going to say it I would have said it. Since I didn't say it, then clearly I didn't say it. However, I've seen surveys which have been taken in various Muslim countries which say a very high percentage of women are beaten by their spouses. And let's face facts, violence in Muslim countries is endemic.

Are you suggesting the entire media madness around this is election driven? I don't think so. It's true the responses of the Liberals and NDP are election related, but the press coverage is not. Even if there was no election the media would still be wailing and crying about this and demanding the government do something. There's no such demand in the US. There isn't even any questions being put to American political leaders on the subject. There doesn't seem to be the slightest pressure to accept more migrants or refugees.
