Only someone young and inexerienced would believe this. Wait for 50 years and come back with that.

When people realize that God is everything we are and that we are responsible for ourselves then maybe things will improve. Teaching about a grandpa in the sky is plain crazy, we are all God.

Opposition to Quebec veiled-voter ruling is broad

I heard an interview with a woman wearing a full Burka, she said God commanded her to wear it. Maybe she should read her religions history, it wasn't until 1200 or so I understand that men started that lie. As I said before women need to smarten up and think for themselves. -
and would you add privitization of our water supply to that as well, lot of money to be made there in the future?

US parts manufacturer ArvinMerito in Toronto will move 500 jobs to Mexico and another facility in Oaklahoma will lose 200 jobs. That's 2000 jobs in Ontario announced in the last week.

What is this? I am afraid I find most men are into skirt chasing more less so don't just pick on the presidents. You know the old saying "Boys will be boys"

Yes American Woman I didn't mean to demean your other presidents. I think the Roosevelts and Kennedys were well respected by the world as were others.

Greenhouse Warming? What Greenhouse Warming?
margrace replied to sunsettommy's topic in The Rest of the World
My oldest son was born on Sept. 13, 1955, it was 90degrees that day. It was one of the hottest summers on record I think, But yesterday, although we live in the northern part of Ontario cottage country, you could literally see the pollution in the air. We never had that before. Kelowna has bad pollution too and they do not have the industries south of them that we do. Our gas driven motors are killing us. The temperatures once again were in the high 90s. -
The biggest problem with religion is the brain washing. The Catholic Church was excellent at that and now the Morman and Fundamentalist churches do the same. Until we grow up enough to think for ourselves, and I mean a lot of women, we will have these problems. An example is the case in BC. The Islamic church is no different than our churches used to be and in some cases continue to be.

Exactly it would be nice to have a leader who treats the world with some respect, but is that possible? I would hope so.

But aren't they warning people not to come to Alberta unless they already have employment and housing?

Economics are not my thing but having lived my four score years and ten I think from all my reading we are in for a world decline. We have seen the best of times and we will not see this again. There are too many people in the world, our food supply from drought and flood is in jeopardy. I have always tried to raise my own food but now the weather really affects it. Why are we experiencing the problems with lettuce and spinach, seems odd to me, there is more here than we understand. 1500 people out of work in January in Oshawa and they were building one of the top selling trucks in North America. It seemed to me that Ontario for years has relied too much on the car business. How much will a decline in those sales affect Alberta. When one of our biggest problems has been where to dump our garbage we certainly need to rethink our priorities.

Well having french catholic cousins and listening to their side of it, I don't quite know about that. English is a wonderful language but hard to learn, too many words that are spelt the same but mean different things for instance. Have you ever tried to talk to a local Glaswegian in Glasgow?

Ha Ha don't be too sure about that Geoffrey

By blaming someone else for his fiasco shows how small a person Mulroney is. I will never forget how horrified I was to watch him singing Irish Eyes with the Reagans, like joins to like. -
If this is supposed to be a funny post I wish you were sitting with my husband and I at a cottage where we were invited to some fishing by a German Business man now a Canadian Citizen. He and his wife did not think it was funny at all. Of the five people arrested they were amazed that one was a German. They also were quite upset about the fact that American housing fiascal also involved some smaller local banks in the original part of east Germany. It is so easy to be funny when you don't know what you are talking about

Until your news media becomes independant again and you do have some independant ones you cannot win this argument. The companies that control health care in your country appear to have a lock hold on the government using the media to scare people with false stories. I listend the other night to one of your American freedom fighters, Pat, they called him. He is a civil rights lawyer I believe and his last name is possibley starte with Papal, I didn't write it down. He was in Toronto warning people not to lose control of the independant media. The arguments on here are just plain nasty. We have them too. Its my money and you can die before I help you. That is the bottom line. -
Its nice to live in a dream world of the young but remember reality is just around the corner. There are good times and bad times and we all experience them.

Just a minute, how did they get the TB, is this something like the infected blankets that killed so many natives in the early years. These were given to them as present and wiped out 90% of whole villages. You know people like to think we change as time goes on, no we don't, we only can't hide our atrocities now.
