  1. Sounds like CSIS employs normal police methods. Not surprising, since the techniques are effective and many CSIS members have law enforcement training/backgrounds.
  2. All abprtion should be banned, the Conservatives are running out of babies to eat.
  3. You are nearly correct. He will sip on a nice Merlot while devouring a fresh baby at Sunday dinner. Just one glass, mind.
  4. I was attempting over the top sarcasm. Missed, eh?
  5. Yep. Tough shit for you.
  6. Enough to make choice the default in this country.Game, set, match.
  7. that's a fetus.Cheney and Shady, how many adopted children do you each have? If they are hard to count, a rough estimate will do. It must be disheartening to be a prolifer in Canada, where the govt has steadfastly refused to sway from the position that reproductive health is a womens health issue and none of your f**king business..
  8. Undermine? How so? Is he bombing journalism schools. What the problem is- from the media viewpoint- is that Harper will not do what he is told- by the media. Anybody who does not sit up and bark on cue is their enemy. Shrug. So what? Am I supposed to feel sorry for them? They are learning that in our brave new world the government, individuals and corporations have many methods and platforms to inform. If they choose not to stand in front of a braying horde in a scrum, so what?
  9. Jeez, I wish I had known this much sooner. I'd have saved a fortune in wining and dining.
  10. You are failing to differentiate between a fetus and a baby. Happens all the time to prolifers. Never happens to those that respect the right of a woman to control her own body.
  11. More popular, less popular- that is a sideshow for Bettman and the NHL. The IOC makes a lot of money off NHL players solely for the financial benefit of the IOC with considerable risk for the NHL. The Olympic tournament costs owners revenue because it interrupts the season and risks injury to players. Bettman wants the NHL to get some of the money earned off their backs, it is as simple as that. The NHL fiercely protects their brand, and so does the IOC. If the IOC wants hockey- and they certainly do because it is a winter marquee event- they are going to have to accomodate the NHL by paying.
  12. By my count Harper has been interviewed by Peter Mansbridge at least four time between Jan 2011 and Jan 2012.If your thesis holds true, then either Mansbridge, Harper or both are holograms and all of those interviews are faked. The only other possibility is that you think the CBC is a Harper-friendly outlet. You'll have to back that one up with some facts. Even one would do.
  13. Harper is more like Hitler, or Pol Pot.
  14. The Leafs should get special recognition for their record medicocrity run. 45 years and counting since they last played in the Stanley Cup final. That is not easy to do. By comparison, the Oilers have been to the final seven times in the last 33 years.
  15. Bettmans prime responsibility is to make money for the NHL franchise owners. The NHL shuts down and all the best players risk their careers and risk their teams revenue stream by playing- for nothing. There is no doubt the IOC profits mightily from NHL participation, it is not unreasonable that Bettman wonder why the players and NHL don't get any of that. It is a door the IOC does not want to open, but the monster behind it is their own creation.
  16. I've seen all of these except War Horse, and my take is: The Artist – A very good though not great movie and a worthy winner from this batch, needs to be seen on the big screen or not at all. The Descendants – OK, strong acting, slighty depressing Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close – a brief pause while I vomit The Help – every so often, America feels the need for flagellating itself. This is the 2011 entry in that pathetic sweepstakes. Greatly overarated and riddled with cliches. Hugo – beautifully redendered in the technical sense, trite and preachy in the fawning over movies sense. Still. an entertaining view. Midnight in Paris – another gorgeous travelogue from Woody Allen, wrapped around a reeking turd of a plot and wretched dialogue. Moneyball – OK overall, wait for it on cable. The Tree of Life – sucked, and I tend to like Terence Malick War Horse – no comment
  17. all the Jays pitching is suspect, few of their young prospects have worked out well. I still do not know why they traded Marcum. Until they sort out pitching, they are going nowhere again- even with an extra AL wild card team.
  18. I don't trust Gomery, he spent months and millions investigating the theft of $200 million of taxpayer money and not a single politician went to jail.
  19. Why does he hate freedom?
  20. Yes, and they all talk funny there too.
  21. The UK uses miles on all road signage, not kms.
  22. The accuser has no burden to 'prove his case'. Charges are brought by the state, and it is their duty to collect evidence and present it in court. The accuser has no duty in this regard.
  23. The obvious motivation is that she was an adrenalin junkie, and her death was more or less a matter of time. She was extraordinary, no question.
  24. I just did it to provoke a response for you, my target was within fifteen minutes and you came very close. I really appreciate the close attention you pay to every post I make, I feel loved and comforted. It would actually depend which side of 50th street the Racknine office is on whether it is in the NDP riding.
  25. ???? religious groups are not allowd to prospect in my local school system.
