As the Liberals Target the Left, Harper digs in the Centre
RNG replied to M.Dancer's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Wrong again. Look at the mineral wealth and hydroelectic potential in Ontario and Quebec. You were sitting on fortunes, but you pissed it away stupidly. So you do what you do best. Rape the west. Business as usual. In particular, Quebec, with it's natural resources being a have-not province. What a joke. Some really neat corruption happening there. I'm just sorry I can't figure out a way of dealing myself into it. -
Is this the Greens last federal campaign?

I said a while ago in some long forgotten thread that running against Peter McKay was really, really dumb. -

Well that totally pisses me off. Damnation and all that stuff. I am forced to agree with you, at least on this. But be careful, it don't mean we're freinds. -
I know this is what all kinds of apologists say, but still I think it is true in this instance. Harper had the misfortune of gaining power at the time of a world-wild recession. Sucks to he him. And still the Cons lead the polls. Must mean that Iggy and Jack really suck.

Yet again, that totally escapes me. -

So what do you think of the Bloc, or is it just westerners that you hate? -

Quite aside from your and my disagreement, why didn't you insist on banning the dude who was very pro-Bloc in a thread a while ago. I wouldn't mind at all if Quebec succeeds. In fact I would like it, as long as the government at the time had the fortitude to not give them any foriegn aid. And yes, as a true and blue Albertan, I strongly think we would be really well off if we secceded. And if that's a bannable offense, ban me. -

As I plainly said, the coup statement was a joke. Only those who are totally anally retentive or who have no sense of humour wouldn't know that. Secondly, the Libertarians I know are far away from the Montana militia retards. As I said, read more, post less. -

Again, I suspect we are having a semantic disagreement. Have you looked at recent US Libertarian positions. They are so far from what you are listing as to be a joke. Perhaps there was some movement called libertarian in the deep, dark past that you refer to, but it has no relationship to the current US brand of Libertarian. Study up a little on Ron Paul. And keep heaping shit on me, I love it. What a debater!!!1!! -

Libertarians and the civil war? You are really stretching it, you intellectual genius. Libertarians as socialists? now that moves into the dumb zone. But carry on, and always keep that post count up. -

Mr. Weber, sir, please get past the wingnut Canadian Libertarian Party blatt and study up a little bit on the philosphy of the US branch. Great stuff. Your obvious socialistic bent makes me suspect that you aren't able to intellectually examine their cread, but I guess I can always hope. -

And yet again I wonder if a, using the US definition, libertarian type could do the job? I know it would help the country, but could the entitlement expecting electorate see past their petty little short term wants? -

Yes. The so called "red Tories" are the same as the RINO's in the states. And they are both wrong. The electorate proves it. And Harper should listen and heed. -
This forum needs a "good post" icon or something instead of me having to post that I really like what Shady just said.

I seriously fear you are correct. Tax and spend Liberals, tax and spend conservative. They are all the same. Harper sold his ethics and economic principles for power. He fooled me totally. So we need a new honestly fiscally conservative party, or an armed coup. -

I'm still waiting for the Liberals to re-release the ad showing military in the streets. That was so sweet. Probably bought the Cons a gazillion votes. -
You sir, are ignorant. Yes, in it's natural form it is basically soft asphalt. But have you ever heard of upgraders? I bet about 10% of the gas you burn in your vehicle came from this "bitumen". Read a little. Secondly, with 35 million people spread out over the second largest country in the world, of course we need to burn gas and diesel. Plus, we happen to be in the north. You know, it gets cold up here so we need to warm our living space. That too NECESSITATES burning stuff. Or maybe move here and your hot air will keep us warm.
