I don't take anything on faith.... are you one of those people who believe everyone has faith in something? Some people don't worry about evidence, or facts... some people live by reason... and some call things faith when they're actually not. Faith is not a reasonable position. I would say that's faith. I never argued that no one has faith in anything. I think I argued that I didn't, and that often wat people call faith isn't actually faith at all. i would agree this example is faith. I don't think it's a very intelligent t statement. It's probably just a platitude. Possibly some confirmation bias in there too....

There is a lot of evidence to the contrary... so no, I don't. Why did the church insist that the bible says the sun revolves around the earth until they couldn't deny it any longer? Science, onc again, proved the bible incorrect.

It certainly won't be the end of the Conservative Party... it just means they will be relegated to perpetual minority status... to stay relevant, they should select a leader with some integrity like Michael Chong to draw votes away from the centre... they won't remain relevant if they stay on their current path.

To compare believing that your business will be a success and believing in god is rather apples and oranges. The analogy doesn't make any sense as one is a belief in one's abilities (rather abstract) and the other is a belief in an actual being.
