  1. I'm fully aware of the horse-hockey excuses that the court made up for their ruling. When 90% of the country can see that the court decision is completely out of bounds, clearly YOU are the one whose opinion is worthless.
  2. If 92% of the public tell the govt to ignore the SCC, they should do it.
  3. It works in Singapore. It's between 72 and 92% depending on which poll. People didn't care very much until they saw the courts go so far out of bounds. You can thank the courts for turning it into an issue by being so obtuse.
  4. Both EKOS and Nanos are showing the CPC may be gradually pulling ahead. NDP support definitely sliding a bit, especialy in Ontario. Today's Nanos numbers: CPC - 33.0 LPC - 31.6 NDP - 26.9 GRN - 3.6 http://www.nanosresearch.com/library/polls/20150927%20Ballot%20TrackingE.pdf 5.6% MOE though.
  5. In public places? Absolutely.
  6. I never said it wasn't a valid request, I'm just pointing out her laziness. She can Google a link up as easily as I can, there have been several incidents.
  7. No, but apparently the message system that was supposed to announce that you're the new admin of this site is.
  8. Is your Google broken?
  9. Liberals say a lot of things. It's pretty consistent historically when a Liberal says he'll lower your taxes, it means they'll put $5 in one pocket while taking ten out of the other. There's a huge hole in his costing, he WILL raise your taxes to cover it, you can bet your house on it.
  10. It has meaning if there is a binding "or what" attached. The problem with these laws is the next guy just changes the law first, THEN does the thing that would have broke it. The NDP here in Manitoba have done it a bunch of times both for tax hikes and for running deficits. During the election, they adamantly promised not to do either, and by law they had to go to a referendum if they did want to. All they did was change the referendum law first, then raise the taxes and run "off-book" deficits.
  11. You do know that slippery slopes are a real thing right? It's only a fallacy if the things that are said to follow are incongruous. Head coverings for ID pictures is already starting to happen in other jurisdictions, so not only is it not a fallacy, it's a very real concern.
  12. Better for people who want their taxes to go up. Whoever those people are.
  13. Anyone know a site that has a translated version of the full debate? All I can find are snippets or commentary, not the whole thing.
  14. Most people ignore recalls. Cars still get licensed. Besides that, the ones who want those TDIs are people would just just get the cars reset to factory after they get it back from recall.
  15. Probably not by much. If anything, this is going to cause a run on used TDIs with enthusiasts looking to get one of the "factory chipped" models. A lot of people are hoping the pricing will fall, so many that they'll start to drive the price back up.
  16. I'm sorry too. Sorry that you think Unifor is a credible source of anything. If that's the garbage you're reading, no wonder you're so confused.
  17. US cars don't have DRL?
  18. 1.3 million more jobs is most certainly "UP". Since the recession, the labour force has increased by 7.23% (which is the best in the G7) that is definitely "UP". Lowest taxes since the 1950's, definitely "DOWN". Yes. Thank you for repeating what I already wrote a couple of pages back: When jobs are up, exports are up, interest rates are low, taxes are low, and the middle class is growing, all flat growth means is prices are lower too. Consumers demand lower prices, and they're getting what they've asked for. We've already been through this. As a percentage of revenue, it's shrinking. The job market is much stronger, and our middle class is the wealthiest in the world. http://globalnews.ca/news/1284297/canadas-middle-class-most-prosperous-in-world-report/
  19. Very well put.
  20. "everyone else"? Quite a few people here agree with him.
  21. What's the matter, lose your script? We already went over that:
  22. Canada and Germany are NOT in deficit. Everyone else is.
  23. Yes. I can confirm that May is irritating and incomprehensible. In any language.
  24. Which to do you think is worse? A debt to GDP ratio of 68% or a debt to GDP ratio of 33%.
  25. Scary that it's substantially better than the last few Prime Ministers that preceded him? http://www.macleans.ca/general/a-quick-look-at-canadas-federal-debt-to-gdp-ratio/
