  1. Exactly. Virtually all government business is also written down too. Almost anyone that a deaf person might meet for official business would also be able to write down what they were trying to communicate. Email, text, and other modes of electronic communication would also already cover it.
  2. ASL road signs would be interesting.
  3. Let's compare these two sets of stats quoted in this thread: And: So involved in serious criminal incidents 20 times more often, yet only shot 7 times more often. Doesn't that mean the police are actually showing MORE restraint when dealing with black suspects than with white ones???
  4. All sinners have to strive to turn away from whatever their sin is to get closer to GOD. His house, his rules. If you want to go and do your own thing elsewhere, that's fine too. You're arguing from a position of ignorance. You haven't seen something, so you think it doesn't exist. I know that it does, because I have seen it first hand.
  5. Some people are easily influenced, others are more independent. There's no one answer. Everyone has free will to decide though. That would be the same for any thoughts or behaviour that might be getting in their way of a desire to get closer to GOD. It's still up to them to decide if that's what they want to pursue.
  6. People change their sexual attractions ALL OF THE TIME. Used to really be into asians, now he likes redheads. Used to like bodybuilders, now she likes heroin-chic. The wife used to really do it for him, now he likes his secretary better. Used to be a leg man, now big boobs are all the does it for him. Used to like college girls, now MILFs turn him on. Used to like boys, now likes girls. Etc. Etc. I don't care. They can do what they want. This thread is about the fact that people can change if they want to, not about making anyone do something they don't want to.
  7. Those who deny that people can and do change their minds all the time need to get out of the house and meet people. Trying to claim it doesn't happen is like trying to claim that there is no such thing as carrots -- the more you insist on it the dumber you look.
  8. Thank you for proving my point.
  9. Depends on the person. Ask them.
  10. It really is. And the more you try to justify it, the more irrational it gets.
  11. Go watch a shoot-em-up action movie. If you show any signs of interest, sorry you're a serial killer.
  12. That's not science, it's a political opinion. The fact is, people absolutely do make that choice all the time.
  13. Gerald Butts calling anyone else a crackpot. The irony is strong with that one.
  14. If people won't open up to you and share their inner feelings, maybe you should look into why they don't trust you instead of claiming that no one else enjoys that luxury.
  15. Still waiting for Big Guy to even VISIT reality.
  16. If you really believe that, then you're simply not a rational actor in this conversation. They are very distinct positions.
  17. And no one here is doing that.
  18. They're people like anyone else. Some are nice, some not so much.
  19. You are the one doing the attacking. You are spreading hate against christians. You called them brainwashed, you alleged that they were tearing families apart.
  20. What does Betsy have to do with Big Guy realizing that he's out of his depth on this subject?
  21. No idea, she can speak for herself.
  22. Where? Anti-Zionism is not anti-semitism. If anyone here was saying anything that was truly anti-semitic, I missed it. Can you point it out?
  23. You are spreading hate. You are dangerous.
  24. Wise choice.
  25. The only one acting idiotic in this thread is you. You make up fake positions that the person you're talking to doesn't hold and you argue against that. The difference is, those are real entities that actually have/had stated objectives of killing the objects of their scorn.
