I honestly don't think harper wants one,he is enjoying doing a good job for the country and why screw it up. Since the GTA is going to put dalton back in ,who is to say harper can't be turfed.

I don't think harper will give the money for the rink ,if he does ,it is wrong, as for duceppe,he just trying to make it look like he is the one the got the coin.Who knows this could back fire on duceppe by trying to black mail harper into doing it and the money does not come along,maybe duceppe will get blamed.

So harper makes a mention of it and MP Mcguinty jumps all over it, pretty well saying I dare you to bring it to the people, 69% of canadians agree with harper that in special cases it should be used. So my question is ,do you support it and how dumb is mcguinty for not checking the pulse 1st of canadians before going on the attack.Personally it is a tough choice, bernardo, williams, olsen, I could live with them getting it but not for all.

I can't beleive how some on this board would sell us out just to spite harper. This has become sickening,the way certain people here will say and do anything because of a hatred for harper. I was never a fan of chretien but when he did some good for canada ,I was all for it,even if the cons were against it. I like to read letters to the ed ,just to see what people are thinking. And I seen many that spoke about some PM award and the people that said if harper was awarding them,they would say no, now that is sick. If I did something that I was going to be awarded a medal and chretien was giving it ,I would be tickled pink and very proud to have the PM of my country award me that.

A real attack is ,the one that they made fun of chretiens mouth, now that was real ugly one and I was even appalled by it and they got into alot of shit over that one. Now to the person that says libs don't use them, soldiers in the streets anyone? And the thing with iggy, he is gone for 30 or so years and his 1st act in canada was to be given the keys to the liberal party and run for PM. If it was all about safety, then allow the police to look at the records of the PAL,then they will know if there are guns around. Very simple and it would work the same without pissing every gun owner off. But it has nothing to do with safety, it is a step closer to just taking the guns, something like the 30"s in germany.

Massive surplus, in other words when we are tax to death we get massive surpluses,and the taxpayer paid down the debt not the goverment and did harper not make 2 of the biggest payments on the overall debt ever? And 56 bil give me a break, that is a drop in the bucket.One more thing remember the big promise chretien made about ending the GST, but he did not and I wonder why?

And that goverment is one big rich family that just spent 50 billion on new aircraft and no where to fly them, so we are just supposed to give in,so that family does'nt lose money.Why can't people stand up for this country. I am sick of this we are so nice we just give in to anyone,well it looks like those days are over. Now down the road(4-8 years) when the libs get in again,will they run over and apologize for this.

I beleive any politicion that is very honest in this country ,would not last a month in office. This country thru the years of the libs and their feel good policies, which IMO canadians want to here , they don't want the truth ,they want to hear something that makes them feel good even if it is going to work. Canadians get what they deserve.

A buddy of mine wife left him for another women, now he has moved back in with his parents to be able to afford the 1600 bucks a month payments. Mean while the wife and GF which both have jobs and are doing quite well, and he is stuck in the basement. His job changed and he makes less now and asked for a reduction and was denied. What gives?

That is because cons have to clean up the mess the libs leave behind and the tough measures it pisses off the people ,they throw out the cons just before we get to that point and the libs take the credit, like mulrooney's GST . And did mike harris not balance the budget?

Just imagine if we just spent our energies on waste. How much could the province save if it got tough on waste, we don't need grand plans to do anything ,unfortunitly some people think only a grand plan will work. I would start with ONT HYDRO.I grew up with hydro people and the waste and theft that goes on is pathetic and it has been going on forever and nobody ever seems to care. I had a tree down on wires up the road from me and 10 men should up, 3 did the work the others stood around and drank coffee ,til the others finished. Years back at one of the dams ,a hydro guy that was trying to stop the waste took my father up to a dam to show what happens when someone screws up and orders thew wrong motors. These were huge electric motors and they were being buried, still in the crates. I could go on and on at just what I seen thru the years , it would make you sick. Now I know this is not some huge grand idea, just something simple ,which we need to return to simple solutions. Just like this MS treatment, how much has been spent on it and now we could have the simplest operation to fix it.And I know 2 people personally that this operation has done wonders for them.

The north, our military now has the resourses to go some where and actually help out. Saved us a pile of money, by staying away from kyoto boondoggle, the daycare boondoggle, and the kelowna accord. Saved the country from the greedy coalition, since it all boiled down to the $2.00 vote. Trying to put the breaks on the never ending immiration problems,peace with quebec(so far) peace with the other provinces(only the odd skirmish) and according to the AG spent the stimuli money resposible, we all know what would have happened if all the money was spent under a lib goverment. And for once we have a foriegn policy a real one, not a back both sides liberal policies ,which you can't have a foriegn policy by alway backing both sides. And of course he has made mistakes, but his mistakes do not cost the country billions with huge grand plans , he lives in a real world where you have to take it slow and steady. And he was just a breath of fresh air, instead of the same old liberal rot.
