  1. The NDP burnt their bridges under Layton when it sided with the conservatives in so many instances in order to show itself opposed to the Liberals. Now with Trudeau rising it shouldn't be long before the NDP is completely sidelined and we form a united front against the rabid right of conservatism in Canada. We've been divided for too long and it's time the NDP went away. Before it and this new criminal Mulcair can do more damage to Canada, including our good image in the world.
  2. It's a fetus, not an animal in the sense you use the term. But in any case, it's not even an animal until it's born and women have the right to snuff it out before that. Try to keep religious bias out of it. The life of the woman and her wellbeing trumps that medieval crap.
  3. Most Americans understand that if their country is going to start wars all over the world then it needs to keep itself safe by spying on Americans as well as the rest of the world. However, this becomes another opportunity for the rabid right to scream at Obama as if he's a Muslim himself and part of a plot to bring more chickens home in revenge attacks. They just don't yet understand that the crime has it's consequences in a heightened awareness of the need to know what every American is saying to another. Even their bedrooms must no longer be a safe haven for terrorists! Make that out of bounds for eavesdropping and that's the first place Al Quaida will go to make their plans. This simply and obviously calls for more guns now in order to protect themselves against their own government. Cuz the second mendmunt perdiktud this!
  4. You mean that you find this discussion on harper's plane a bunch of juvenile inane crap? Coincidence!
  5. No, the US gov isn't doing anything more than is necessary to preserve itself in this situation where it's become the world's aggressor. Americans are only playing politics for their own dogmatic political entertainment. It's a sideshow for the entertainment of Canadians who can see through their ridiculous games.
  6. The real difference can be explained in simply stating that Canada and Canadians are still interested in socially responsible government. That is, capitalism with a healthy mix of socialism when it's obviously required to make a socially responsible form of capitalism. Whereas the US and Americans in general continue to support a completely unacceptable form of capitalism which doesn't serve the interests of it's people. This has resulted in a nation which has the highest per capita income in the world along with the second highest income inequality in the world. A situation which is guaranteed to bring it down if it's not saved by a popular revolution. Not likely, as beginnings such as OWS and the tea baggers have been quickly hijacked by the Koch brothers and their ilk. America is stuck in the 20th. century with it's dreams of the American way. It's a way that is totally unsustainable in this 21st. century. Canada needs to pay close attention to how the US is disintegrating in relation to the wellbeing of it's people and run away in the other direction fast. Disposing with the Harper government is mission # one on the road to a more socially responsible Canada as has been our pride as a nation for our very length of existence. Add to that that it's a forgone conclusion that the chickens will begin to come home for Canada too if we follow in the footsteps of US aggression for much longer. That must never be what Canada still is in the eyes of the world. Indeed still in the eyes of Europeans the most desirable country in the world in which to live!
  7. Yes, but their ultimate goal is to have Iran neutralized by the US and then there will be no ME threat to their expansionist apartheid regime. However, a big sea change could be on it's way for them now as the US is hesitating to do their bidding. Mostly because of an American realization that it's not in their future best interests to continue the policies of unfairness to the Palestinian people. This I believe, is due to Obama's leadership, but that is hotly debated on other forums especially European now. Obama is hotly condemned along with his country. And so, if we accept that Syria is a stepping stone to Iran for both the zionists and the US, we can see that big trouble for Israel's status quo is in the making. In any case, it's inevitable that the ME will eventually have an Arab country that is totally nuclear capable. This is a very desirable outcome in my opinion because it's absolutely certain that nukes in the hands of Iran would obviously be used as a deterrent to more US aggression. It's also obvious why the US/Israel must stop it at all costs. A brighter day for world peace is in the offing. A great topic for discussion here if Zionist screaming of anti-Semitism is not acceptable censorship on this forum. And the hot topic at the moment is obviously the success/failure of Western interfering in that conflict. On a very positive note, Russia is appearing to be more and more on the side of right as the facts continue to come out on how it's the terrorists, Al Quaida, foreign rats, etc., that are the real enemies of the Assad regime. Certainly not his own people who are in the majority on his side now.
  8. Today's news from RT. Terrorist rats from other countries showing their true colours in Syria. And that's who the US is going to give more weapons to?
  9. Couple of things about this attack that made it different: 1.Knives and sharp things scare people when they are used to cut off heads. Bombing hundreds of thousands to death from 30,000' is much more sanitary in comparison. 2.The perp got to state his case and that will never do. Those few words are going to take the propagandists volumes to counterspin. #2 is the more relevant issue.
  10. A fetus isn't a human being until it becomes a human being and is born. Otherwise, where's the problem in killing it? The rabid right would have people facing the death penalty for spilling the seed if we let them get away with it! It is absolutely essential to kill an unwanted fetus before it's born, otherwise that's bad. There's the point at which the debate should begin!
  11. I don't try to restrict the debate on violence in that country to just guns but I am suggesting that guns are a tool that is much too readily accessible. Thereby leading to an untenable situation in which they are contemplating surrounding their schools with armed guards to keep the children safe. Would too many knives or baseball bats call for the same reaction. It's a sick society and that's not an acceptable topic for debate amongst them. This is largely due to their warmongering stance throughout the world. What kind of people would still not accept the plain fact that the Iraq wars were totally corrupt, illegal, and immoral wars that were fought for control of ME oil? When Americans who want to own and use military style type weapons such as was used in the school massacre, stop wanting to own them and use them, then the situation will change. That is a lot different from taking those weapons away from them. And as a sidenote to this, more Canadians are becoming enamoured with the sick US mentality and are wanting to own those kind of weapons. That could become a problem for Canada as well.
  12. People that don't belong to unions hate unions. It's simply a matter of them begrudging union members the high wages they are able to make through being a union member. Nothing more complicated than that. As as for owners of companies, they all hate unions because they are forced to pay a reasonable wage when they are unionized. Pretty simple question of human nature really.
  13. Part of the reason why the chickens came home on 9/11. Their own Ron Paul was a politician that was at least honest enough to admit that! Not that he was good for anything else though. He believes that more chickens will come home still.
  14. As was not the case in the Kosovo war where the mass graves of ethnic Albanians never did materialize, they did in this case. One has to wonder if it's time to send in the Nato ground troops or to bomb Tel Aviv's civilian infrastructure?
  15. Is it time to send in the ground troops jbg? Also, it probably needs to be made clear right now, the Assad regime is popular with the people of Syria and has been right from the start. Any problems were of the US/Zionist's making as Syria is considered a stepping stone to war against Iran.
  16. It's pretty clear that it's the terrorists fighting against Assad's government that are using chem/bio weapons. Del Ponte as much as said that before she disappeared from the scene. But in any case, it's now a situation where the West has gone silent on the war as it's too politically embarrassing for the West to support the terrorists. This could have been easily prevented if the zionist regime had accepted Syria's inroads to peace. The zionist regime sees this as a stepping stone to Iran and it won't stop until the US is coerced by it's internal Zionist lobbies to destroy Iran too. Apparently all that will happen now is that the US will continue to aid the terrorist side against Assad in order to pacify the Zionists. (in each instance where I have used the word 'zionist', it was done intentionally in order to separate ordinary peaceloving Israelis/Jews from the evil warmongering element.)
  17. When an American turns violent he is always close to the tools he needs to make an impression on society. Therein lies the difference between the US and Canada. Canada doesn't think that it's a good idea for violent people to have easy access to guns and handguns especially. The US does. The obvious solution for the US is to get rid of pharmaceuticals. They infringe on their second amendment rights. Cause guns are wot's gud.
  18. Good attitude! Most of this will be used as a political tool to attack Obama because that's about as deep as it goes. If Americans really cared about their freedom they would have done tried to do something about gun violence that has taken away their freedoms. Freedom to send a child to school without the fear of the child being gunned down by a gungoon. Freedom to not have to place armed guards around elementary schools to keep their babies safe!
  19. Much ado about nothing. When the US embarked on a mission of conquering and controlling ME countries for oil profit, it should have known that it would be getting into a war (war on terror?) with those whose lives it would be destroying. Revenge was the obvious result and stopping revenge from coming requires keeping a close eye on everybody. Was the Gulf War a good choice? Will the spying stop? Nope!
