It would neat to visit that place for sure. In looking at some of those relief carvings on those columns/monuments, that is some pretty skilled craftsmanship that likely didn't suddenly appear one day. I would suspect, just from the finished product at that site, there are likely other sites that go back even further.

Astute powers of observation dude. Now join in on the fun!

No rushing off to Mr Hooper just yet. There is intrinsic value in diversity, even if it is only a temporary phenomenon. For example, for us old folks, a good grounding in the principles of accepting diversity will help us love our mulatto grandchildren more. And, in keeping with those same principles of diversity, I mean "mulatto" in the broadest sense of the term of course.

"Hug-a-thug?" That is so last century. The heat has been turned up on the rhetorical sound bytes nowadays and it is called 'hug a rapist.' Haven't you heard? -
Supreme Court Changes Investment Tax Rules For First Nations

But...but... Shady, I already asked you and you dodged. It was only yesterday, don't you remember? And now you are telling me that the Canadian government is making illegal agreements with First Nations?? OH MY GOD SHADY!!! CALL THE POLICE!!!! CALL THE RCMP! OH MY GOD! What is worse is that this is a Conservative government doing this! OH. MY. GOD. They lost, get over it. -

No, I wouldn't expect you to explain something to which you have no clue and lookee here, you oblige. To bad your intellect doesn't match your visual imagination, although I can see that being problematic, what with all your hysteria and all. Here is what I am trying to say: So You Want to Know the Recidivism Rate Why would you want to keep people in jail longer when the recidivisim rate is rather low? Keeping people - who likely won't re-offend - in jail longer only leads to increased costs of incarceration and overcrowding. -
No diversity and such has always been a temporary measure until we are all a nice golden mean. Once that happens, there'll be no need for special definitions, can dismantle most equity programs, will all belong to one grand utopian dreamscape. I can't wait! Of course there will still be gender 'diversity' but metrosexualism is taking care of the apparently.

No, the entire world is one Global Village now. Get with the times dude. The white countries are just neighbourhoods that have welcomed the browns, blacks and yellows in for some good old fashioned mating. So that alone removes genocide out of the question. Call it self preservation. And when I say "welcomed" I mean invited in through immigration programs, social programs, ESL programs, etc., all designed by more white people. Eventually we'll all be a nice, healthy looking California type tanned shade. Something already pursued by the rich and famous. Isn't that what you want? A nice golden brown? Everywhere will be Miami Beach, everyone will look the same. Then, when those differences are rendered negligible, we move on to the stars... (and not the Hollywood ones...er, or even the Bollywood ones...)

Supreme Court Changes Investment Tax Rules For First Nations
Shwa replied to Remiel's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
It sure can be, and it looks like they are ruling in favour of the First Nations. That is, altering the law to suit the Indians. But I am sure there is a treaty or Constitutional basis in there someone. Man, for a conquered people, they sure are getting all the breaks aren't they? Heck, I got brutalized on my last last tax return. But I think my tax dollars went to prisons, even though I can't be sure. -

I know what you mean. For example, East Indian people tend to have many of the same phenotypical features as white people. Likely where the European languages came from. -
Very interesting site in southern Turkey that appears to be a temple complex created in the neolithic by a hunter-gatherer society. It predates other notable megalithic complexes - the Egyptian pyramids and Stonehenge, by thousands of years. Göbekli Tepe NG Site including photo gallery

Sure it is. It is all legal and in accordance with treaty law and such. I mean, what are you - some sort of Indian Giver or something? Suck it up buttercup, they lost. Get over it. -
Yep, you are right, that's what happens in the global village. It has been happening for thousands of years now and it has been stepped up because it is so easy to move around in the Global Village. So now we have all these white women having babies by black or brown or yellow men, imagine. Off-white-ish or slightly tanned, caramel like toned countries for the off-white-ish or slightly tanned, caramel like tones! Eh. Sounds like Italy or Greece. I can live with that.

Interestingly enough, since that time the tanning salon industry has exploded. Why are so many white people trying to look non-white? -
Global Village dude. There goes the neighbourhood!

Canada's Crime Rate Hits 40 Year Low

No I am calling you out as a buffoon for posting a link stating that Corrections Canada was fudging it's numbers in order to make itself look better, but when the chief complaintants of such an act finally get into government, such fudged numbers are still posted on their website. What's up with that, eh Scotty? The link not working isn't my fault. I think it is hilarious that you would hold the argument that prisons aren't working, so let's build more of them. And to add to the hilarity, you post an article from the Sun, outlining how much prisons aren't working and that CSC "fudged" their numbers in order to "make themselves look good" all the while failing to notice that 7 years later the numbers are still the same - even posted on the CSC website - even though the Conservatives now form the government. Your innocence is surreal. Wait for the CSC site to come back up. Then you can read it all for yourself and perhaps make your own mind up instead of being like a reactionary conservative dupe. I would, but I like it when you blatantly contradict yourself. It's fun! -

Road crews, farms, factories - some of which are in operation already. Restorative justice and diversionary programs, etc. Prisons are a necessity. But not the only necessity. I agree, but we would likely disagree on approach. Because it is an irrelevant question. -

To mind mind, the real problem here is your criminal use of cascading fantasy as some sort of means to argue a point. I mean, what is stopping the guy from just robbing people? More than likely - in many similar fear fueled fanatasies - this guy will eventually rape, murder, commit genocide and, eventually, set of a nuclear bomb that kills us all. Because in a fantasy, only you can make a difference Scotty. Only you... -

Nope, not even close. In fact, the opening paragraph is cautionary basically saying that recidivism rates are hard to calculate overall, but can be best used in particular categories. It doesn't give an opinion about the parole system, but nice try. Right. Corrections Canada themselves are criminals. LOFL! Read the article when you can and get back to me. Anyone can make shit up. The Sun did an admirable job in this regard 7 years ago. The report was from Corrections Canada after all. Duh Scotty. And, the report I linked to above certainly does count people returning to prison more than two years after release. So let's put this all together now: You are saying that to "keep society safe" we need to build more prisons and incarcerate criminals for longer periods, all the while citing a story from the Vancouver Sun saying that the prison system isn't doing their job and, even worse, lying about the job they are doing in the first place! Funny how, now that the CPC are in government, that the Corrections Canada article on recidivism hasn't been removed from their website. According to the Sun story: Don't you find that somewhat odd? Vic Toews finally gets in a Minister of Justice and he still allows Corrections Canada to publish their outright lies and "disinformation" on their website? -

You seem to think that the only solution to overcrowding is to build more prisons. Is that all you got? Come now, seriously, that is all you can come up with? How about alternatives to incarcertation like restorative justice? How about an efficient justice system than can process trials more quickly and not leave accused persons on dead time for 6 months or more? How about work farms or factories? -

Well, they are acting as such aren't they? They were "conquered," signed these legal contract thingies called "treaties" from which they derive their present actions. Since these are legal contracts, they are merely going with what they got. Are you disputing the legality of treaties now? No one cares about your European ancestry. Red herring. Red herring. Apparently you are not capable tonight? Have a nice rest and try again in the morning. -

I think is some cases, that might be true. In some cases - which are to be determined by the courts, as they already do through instruments of law, such as the dangerous offender designation. Otherwise, applied generally, it is a baffling phenomenon which BM touched on earlier by alluding to the fact that more money for prisons doesn't seem to be a problem for the Canadian Taxpayers Federation who are constantly in the news with their gripes about our social welfare system. Well... Wouldn't it make MORE sense to have these people - most of whom will not re-offend, integrated back into society making a contribution to the tax pool by working? Instead, some would see these types kept longer in prison, reducing their tax paying contribution and - to boot - burning up over $100k per year of "tax dollars" while we house and feed them, entertain them and education thenm. All because of an "opinion" based on the feelings of victimization obtained through empathy. -
