  1. I think they could empathize with those who were killed by extremists acting on their religion and build elsewhere. Were you speaking in codes, because it's pretty clear what the above statement is. You want the mosque not to be built where it is proposed because of ignorant views of terrorism and Islam by relatives of victims from 9/11.
  2. Who is 'we'? Can you show me examples where I have not shown objectivity? By the way, speaking of Al Jazeera, did you know the media outlet has been banned from a few Muslim countries because they're too critical of the country and the governments? You have no idea about Al Jazeera.
  3. Just to re-cap, you have said the following, which is not made up: You agree that the mosque should not be built based on ignorant views on Islam and Muslims. Have a nice day.
  4. But you support those who believe it is by saying a mosque should not go up. Why?
  5. Are you auditioning for a job on Foxnews?
  6. Terrorism is not synonymous to Islam. Just like Pedophilia is not synonymous to Christianity. Those who are showing sensitivity because of their ignorance should not be given support.
  7. Is it okay for you to support the trampling of human rights because you claim to be an atheist? What about your support for those who break human rights laws in the name of sky gods, but they happen to be on a team you support? Can you explain your selective and contradictory vision and approach to life?
  8. Israel continues to spit in the face of international law and jbg and Dogsonporch continue to make excuses for them. I found it quite interesting that you, Dogsonporch, claimed to be a champion of human rights in another thread. You are a fascinating creature.
  9. It's not a little like PEI. There is a big difference between 5 acres as compared to 0 acres. There is also the fact that a non-PEI resident can eventually become a PEI resident and buy more than 5 acres.
  10. It's a failure and will continue to be a failure. I do hope that Canada stays its course and gets out of there as planned.
  11. You support the trampling on human rights in the name of sky gods.
  12. You bring up a good point about the Haredim. Zionism is only successful in attracting the religious extremists. At the end, the political and financial costs will not be worth it anymore.
  13. End of Zionism does not mean the end of Israel. Israel is here to stay.
  14. I'm losing count.
  15. Can you show me where Arafat, Stalin and Hitler said time is running out for Zionism? The major reason why time will run out for Zionism is because Jews will turn their backs to it. It will fall apart from within. The young Jews who are turning their backs on the ideologies of Zionism are either pacifists or have chosen to take the side of human rights and will no longer try to make excuses for it.
  16. Israel controls the border crossings to Gaza, where it controls the flow of all goods, its territorial sea and air space. It may not have full control at all times, but it has the potential for such control which it can exercise at will. Thus, Gaza is still to be considered under Israel’s control, and occupation. Israel is the occupying power of the Gaza Strip according to the United Nations, the United States, the United Kingdom and human rights organizations.
  17. You would be a hypocrite if you supported both human rights and the actions taken by Israel in the name of Zionism. There is definitely a noticeable change happening. Anti-occupation and anti-zionist Jewish groups are starting to be heard as their numbers increase. An example of this is the lobby group, JStreet. There are also groups like Jewish Voice for Peace, whose membership and activism continues to grow. Time is running out for Zionism.
  18. There are no settlements, but Gaza strip is still considered occupied due to the control of the borders, airspace and the water. And what a gem by Bonam and his post above. Why do you think the Palestinians are not able to exert sovereignty? Whenever I come on this board, I'm back to seeing the same old disingenuous posts by people like Bonam and jbg. For once, surprise us and don't try to create an excuse for everything Israel does. Your uncritical view of Israel in this conflict makes it difficult to take you seriously in the debates. I have never seen such one-sided and extreme style of debating.
  19. Right. This is the first time I'm bringing this up, but it's not this is not the first time you've done this.
  20. Are you ever going to post where you're pasting your comments from or are you going to continuously take others' posts and make it sound like it's yours? Source for jbg's post.
  21. How can you not? There are no other choices.
  22. Because expanding the illegal settlements and not following international law is about security? You don't make sense.
  23. At the end of the day, men rule the world.
  24. Why can't the rest of you stop hiding behind trying to cover-up a cover-up and just be honest like Bush Cheney and admit that you don't care for lawful and ethical behaviour that we champion ourselves to be the leaders of. The moral compass of the soldier spraying the people on the ground with bullets is no different than the insurgents who cut off people's heads in front of the camera. The only difference is that they are lying to themselves in believing what they actually care for innocent people's lives.
