No. You just don't have the attention span. It was already explained to you, but I'm not surprised that you didn't catch it, in your frenzy Here it is again: CJPAC is an independent organization with a 12-person board whose activities are funded by non-tax-deductible donations. An earlier entity, CIJA-PAC, the Canadian Council for Israel and Jewish Advocacy (CIJA) Public Affairs Committee, was a UIA-supported group that was also headed by Cooper and is now defunct. He acknowledged that CJPAC and CIJA-PAC, which was partly funded by charitable dollars, share “an overlap in membership, but it is not entirely similar.” Cooper was the head of the defunct CIJA-PAC and then he created CJPAC. But this is besides the point. Your dishonest argument wants people to think that Izzy Asper was not part of the pro-Israeli lobby by throwing in 'registered lobbyists' like it makes a difference to what the goal of these groups are. There are several Israeli/Jewish lobby groups and advocacy groups who fall under CIJA. Groups like CJC, which is a lobby group. These groups have one goal in mind, which is to push the pro-Israel agenda. Izzy Asper, one of the founders of CIJA also controlled a major part of the media in Canada. If you want to suggest that Izzy Asper was not using his media to push for his pro-Israel agenda, then you are once again reminding everyone how dishonest you are and how little integrity you have.

If I may, Bud, I would like to reply to this; Anyone who repeats the narratives would say such a thing. Israel made many allegations and you are re-spinning the propaganda. For example, Goldstone looked into the allegations by Israel that Hamas used civilians as human shields and came to the conclusion that it was, in fact, the IDF who used Palestinians, including children as human shields. Your problem is that you take the word of IDF as 100% true, when they have repeatedly been caught lying. How was his investigation flawed? Can you point to the flaws in the methodology of the investigation? I doubt you have even looked at the investigation, just like Dancer. You want your comments to be taken seriously, the least you can do is look at this investigation. Goldstone Report - Page 6 is where the methodology is described. It's quite extensive and gives you an idea what the standards were. If you want to look away and not acknowledge Goldstone's credibility and the credibility of the investigation, then that's your choice.

You didn't respond to my comments: What point? I thought you point was that he is 'pro-Israel'. You even said: He's been described many times as a "self-hating" Muslim, because he sides with much of the west, and of Israel. He obviously acknowledges that we cannot stay silent to Israel's occupation of Palestinian territories. So your assertion that he is "Pro-Israel" would only make sense if you think it would be pro-Israel to want Israel to abandon Israel's zealous and systematic land grab and leave the occupied territories. In which case, I would agree with you. This is a simple case of someone not making this issue, as Bush famously put it: "You're either with us or against us". He is condemning the wrongs on all sides. He condemns people like Ahmadinejad and Osama, while also condemning Israel's violation of human rights and law. Since you speak so highly of Tarek Fatah, do you agree with him about the occupied territories? Or are you just as one-sided as those in the Ahmadinejad/Natanyahu/Hamas/Lieberman/Osama camp? -
More: Harper has a second major speech planned. On Tuesday evening, he will speak to the Canadian Council for Israel and Jewish Advocacy (CIJA). The Jewish lobby group invites MPs and senators, diplomats, members of the parliamentary press gallery and influential members of the Jewish community across the country for the biennial parliamentary dinner, Fife said. Not that it matters whether or not they have to be 'registered to be considered a lobby group', I hope this will make you shut up about this: CJPAC is an independent organization with a 12-person board whose activities are funded by non-tax-deductible donations. I am conceding that you are a serial liar and no amount of honesty and facts are going to change that.

OTTAWA — Kory Teneycke, Prime Minister Stephen Harper's former communications director, is assuming a new posting as head of media giant Quebecor's Parliament Hill bureau, effectively overseeing coverage of a government for which he was chief spokesman one year ago. Teneycke will become vice-president of development for the Montreal-based communications company, publishers of the expansive Sun chain of newspapers, and assume responsibility for the Ottawa bureau, where he will be located, said a joint Sun Media-Quebecor announcement Tuesday. Read more: Go on. Show how pathetic you can get and how low you can sink.
-
I'm sure anyone who has read this also acknowledges your dishonesty.
-
CIJA is an Israeli lobby group and Asper is one of the founding members. You look desperately pathetic right now. You should have just not responded like other times when faced with undisputed facts.
-
He makes the decisions for Sun Media as he has already made a few changes. This makes him the boss. Why do you continue to lie?

The meaning of his quote is what I said. Give it a rest. You're engaging in pity argument. -
I have never seen you stumble over yourself this many times in just one thread. Sun Media Corporation is a subsidiary of Quebecor Media.

Heh. Now you're trying to say that the Asper family are not part of the Israeli lobby. You keep losing. CIJA Who started it? As such, Mideast debate becomes an issue for national Jewish agencies whose explicit responsibilities may not focus on Israel. While Canadian Jewish Congress has long been a voice in support of the Zionist movement in Canada, specific actions, advocacy and lobbying on Israel’s behalf has been delegated to the Canada-Israel Committee The new agency is the result of more than a year of informal and formal negotiations between interested parties, including the Israel Emergency Cabinet. The cabinet is made up of a number of prominent Jewish Canadians, including Sen. Leo Kolber, power couple Heather Reisman and Gerry Schwartz, the late Izzy Asper and several other influential backers, who were moved to action by what they view as an emergency situation in the Canadian atmosphere vis-a-vis Israel. Heh. Right. A straw man argument is an informal fallacy based on misrepresentation of an opponent's position. Why the need to pull a Dancer? -
But they did for many years. Does the bad business dealings by the Asper family change the fact that "a friend of Israel" who on number of occasions was accused of pressing his editors to publish favorable editorials was pushing his agenda through his media for many years? No it doesn't. You know who Kory Teneycke is? He is the former director of communication for Harper. He is now the de facto boss of Sun Media. What does Sun Media control: Sun newspapers * Calgary Sun * Edmonton Sun * Ottawa Sun * Toronto Sun * Winnipeg Sun Le Journal newspapers * Le Journal de Montréal * Le Journal de Québec * Le Journal de Trois-Rivières * Le Journal de Sherbrooke Other newspapers * 24 Hours / 24 Heures * Brockville Recorder and Times * Fort McMurray Today * The Daily Herald Tribune (Grande Prairie, Alberta) * Daily Miner and News (Kenora, Ontario) * London Free Press * Ontario Farmer * The Daily Graphic (Portage La Prairie, Manitoba) * The Delhi News-Record * Shoreline Beacon (Saugeen Shores, Ontario) * Simcoe Reformer (Norfolk County, Ontario) * The Beacon Herald * St. Thomas Times-Journal * Woodstock Sentinel-Review * Sherwood Park • Strathcona County News * The Peterborough Examiner * Sault Star (Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario) * Sudbury Star (Sudbury, Ontario) * The Stonewall Argus & Teulon Times * Timmins Daily Press * Timmins Times He has already 'removed' several reporters and replaced them with, what many call, yes-men. This is all a conspiracy of course, as Dancer likes to scream out whenever faced with facts that show that his claims are false. The Asper family were not part of the Israeli lobby and Kory Teneycke, former Harper communication man, is not controlling Sun Media and trying to create a 'conservative' channel.

No? What about his "Address to a Joint Session of Congress and the American People" Every nation, in every region, now has a decision to make. Either you are with us, or you are with the terrorists. (Applause.) -

The list of anti-semite artists, boycotting Israel is growing. Add the following to the list: - The Pixies - Santana - Klaxons - Gorillaz This is how the pressure and the boycotting of Apartheid South Africa started. The movement is getting bigger.

? Tarek Fatah: With Bush and Blair on one side and the ayatollah-Osama bin Laden axis on the other, Canada's Muslims are caught between the devil and deep sea. While we unreservedly condemn the Iranian president, we cannot remain silent about Israel's continued occupation of Palestinian territories. Link -

Israel bows to pressure and agrees to ease Gaza blockade
naomiglover replied to naomiglover's topic in The Rest of the World
You want the Gazans to be satisfied that they can finally eat in the prison Israel has created? How nice of you. -
The US State Department has expressed concern about an Israeli plan for the demolition of 22 Palestinian homes in occupied East Jerusalem. Spokesman PJ Crowley said it was the kind of action that undermined trust and increased the risk of violence. This is not the first time the Jerusalem municipality has gone above the Israeli government to give the green light to illegally demolish and clear Palestinians homes in East Jerusalem. Will the Israeli government step in or will this be another evidence that Israel lacks any motivation to have peace and respect international law and the international community? Israel's Defense Minister did issue the following comment: The Jerusalem municipality and the planning committee have shown a lack of common sense and sense of timing Link

Israel bows to pressure and agrees to ease Gaza blockade
naomiglover replied to naomiglover's topic in The Rest of the World
The western governments did not accomplish putting pressure on Israel to lift or even ease the blockade. The Flotilla accomplished this by bringing international focus on the situation. Not sure why you are rambling on and on and trying to argue something this simple.
