I agree, that is, if you are not being sarcastic.

I cannot recaull the source, but from one of many books sitting on my shelf, it said something along the lines of "no current scientific theories need 'god' to be functional. there is a logical and scientific explanation for every step of the way. in no way is this entity of god required to exist in order for what we have today to exist" something along those lines.

Why is Hillary Clinton wearing a Hijab?

That may be true, but I doubt they will kill you or physically harm you or kidnap you for that, as opposed to other nations... -
Sigh, you do not get my point at all. If you were a robber, who would you rob? A person with a black belt in Hapkido, or a person with no means of self defense? What if you had no weapons? What if you had a knife? What if you had a gun? Personally, unless I have a gun and is skilled at using it, I wouldn't risk trying to rob a person who is skilled in aikido, hapkido, judo, etc, etc, etc. And doesn't Hapkido have some sort of disarming techniques? I know for my Kendo dojo, we had a workshop once a month in self defense against weapons.

Humility is a subjective concept, not an objective one. For example, some people may believe that it'd be more humiliating to live on the streets vs. homeless shelter, while others may believe that being a dirty bum on the streets is more humiliating than staying in a homeless shelter.

Speak ill and discriminate an Arab immigrant wearing burka - you're called a bigot, and is comdemned and punished for being racist. Go to an arab country, walk around in skirts and tank-top - you're called as being ignorant and disrespectful, and injuries may or may not occur (well, islamic laws guarantee punishment ). If you do get hurt as a result for continuing western tradition in Arab, it's your fault. Seems like a double standard to me. -
No, but we know when an individual might have the intent to shoot us, get her gun, etc, we are able to take actions to prevent the bullet from firing.. But what I'm trying to say is, a robber, regardless of his arsenal, will have harder time robbing people in Asia (where people have formal self-defense training but no gun) than in Canada (where most people have neither gun or self-defense training).

OK, so when westerners go to Islamic countries, we have to abide by their customs, laws, etc, but when THEY come to western countries, we have to respect THEIR customs, traditions, etc, and welcome them in name of diversity?? Is this a double standard or what? -
I am not sure about Japan, But in South Korea, most kids have black belt in at least one major form of martial arts before entering middle school. Maybe because one month tuition (6 times a week) costs less than $100, and Dojo's are everywhere.. Martial Arts is a prominent culture in oriental countries, and I guarantee you that you'd have a harder time robbing a skinny student where I come from compared to robbing a school football player in Canada. Everyone person in my family of my generation is trained in martial arts and have black belts. Have fun robbing us when we trained for at least 3 years, 6 days a week for at least an hour a day. However, in Canada, people do not have convenient access to such training facilities, ergo helpless when held at knifepoint, etc. In Asian countries, restrictions on concealment - I understand. In Western countries, restrictions on concealment makes no sense - especially for fragile women who are often victims of crimes that could have been prevented with self-defense.

Muslim group calls for ban on burqas in Canada

When someone comes in to a convinience store in ski masks and beaner hats wearing a black haed to toe ski suit in middle of july, people will take notice and prepare themselves for what might or might not happen. But when someone comes into a convinience store wearing all black, covering all the body parts except the eyes... the burka.. no one will suspect a robbery (thanks to the liberal brainwashing). Also, it's a lot easier to hide a bomb underneath your burka as compared to underneath a ski mask... -
Why do people still believe in god(s) when scientific facts and theory shows no "god" in explaining everything. As far as Julianna's story is concerned, she should not have been kept alive. She cost millions of tax dollar money on her surgical procedures, and she will cost the taxpayers more should she be kept alive. Also, do we really have the right to "fix" the hypothetical god's plan with man-made technology? Do we really have the right to keep alive a suffereing individual despite the burden on the taxpayers? All that taxpayer's money spent on Julianna's surgeries could have gone to people that could have used it, like affordable housing, public shelters, schools, and foreign aids. Religion is !@#$%^&^&*
