    Now has a British passport! Which makes me even more superior to the rest of you than is usually the case!

      I just applied to see if I qualified. British efficiency! Ten days later it came by courier! My father moved to Canada back when he was a baby - which was back when Canadians were British citizens. So when the citizenship law was passed in 1947 and all British citizens in Canada were declared Canadian citizens, he became one too. But apparently he never lost his British citizenship.
