Welcome to the tribal mentality of the far right. These are people who view everything as "us versus them" type situation. If they were to appoint someone from another party that would be conceding that said party is in some way legitimate. All in all this is just another example of how the right has no real principles. Whats bad is bad only when someone they don't like does it.

Embridge strikes again, ~200 000 liters of crude bitumen from a pipeline in Wisconsin. I think it's past time we stripped these special rights from "natives". Chretien had the right idea with his white paper, it's a shame it was abandoned.

Indeed, the system in this country is far to lax when it comes to irresponsible gun owners. The entire system needs to be overhauled and made much more stringent imo.
