  1. I chose to place Blair as center left, which I agree is questionable, but it doesn't really matter, a problem is viewing the political spectrum through the prism of economics, it prejudices our thinking towards economics, whereas economics is not the most important issue in politics and blinds us from more important issues. Neither the left, nor the right have a monopoly on corruption or destruction. "Blanket statements (not that I'm pointing at you) like "the left believe this" or "the right believe this" don't really explain the sentiments. There are many who may consider themselves as leftist or rightist but most likely disagree with the left and right establishment policies which, in a lot of times, end up being the same." Agree and I'm actually saying something similar, but in a different way. I am saying that those on the left and the right have both been responsible for the destruction in the Middle East, not that everyone on the left or right are responsible for the Middle East.
  2. Non sequitur. Facepalm. And bleeding-hearts without rationality are not progressives.
  3. "It's definitely becoming more about quality of life, something that will make money secondary when it becomes harder to come by." Then if its all about selfish anthropocentric 'quality of life,' then one must be ecologically minded as quality of life is directly tied to ecology. "No, it's against conservative right-wingers. Destroying the ME was their stupid idea." But its not just to conservative right wingers. Neoliberal center leftists e.g. Blair and Hollande have also participated in this (as well as the left e.g. the former Soviet Union) and the result is you are destroying your culture as a result of your schadenfreude towards one element of it. In that aspect you are much like the right wingers who want to destroy middle eastern culture in revenge. "My so-called pro-immigrant policies have been the same for decades; that every human being should be able to move as freely around the planet as a corporation..." Would you apply the same logic to rats, siphylis, HIV, polio, cane toads etc? I'm not happy about the environmental ramifications but that ship's long since sailed too so...the only thing that will ever rescue our environment now is if we find our humanity but I don't think we'll find that until we hit rock bottom." No the only thing that will ever rescue the environment now is if we get rid of our humanity. The overcoming of humanity.
  4. Muslims are a threat. I'd advise extensive travels through the Middle East to confirm for yourself.
  5. True they were pretty bankrupt, but they could have been obstinate. Incidentally I would say Britain didn't have much of a choice whether to stay in the EU or not. To remain as in India would have been certain doom.
  6. More schadenfreude against the British people! Its a good thing they can decide for themselves and not have others decide for them.
  7. Its a combination of the left and the right, both of which belong to the same paradigm going back to the Cold War and continuing under Blair (center left), Hollande (center left) etc. The left and right act as two sides of the same coin leaving the Middle East in tatters have both have historically sought to exploit it.
  8. I didn't say the whole of British rule was benevolent, of course not. It was naked imperialism. I said their leaving in the late 40s was benevolent.
  9. The Neoliberal left has also caused a bloodbath in the Middle East (goaded on by the Jewish Neoconservatives in the US) and that is what all these refugees/migrants are fleeing from. "Neoconservatives typically advocate the promotion of democracy and promotion of American national interest in international affairs, including by means of military force and are known for espousing disdain for communism and for political radicalism.[5][6] The movement had its intellectual roots in the Jewish monthly review magazine Commentary, published by the American Jewish Committee.[7][8]" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neoconservatism
  10. "Hiw did you know they were islamics? Did you interrogate them or was it written on their foreheads? For all you know they could have been second or third generations of indians that are as much british as the white brits...." I know the difference between Middle Eastern people and Indians geez. " Whilst i am not denying what you are telling me but could be a scenario in any country in this day and age including canada." That's the point, its like this all over the world. That is globalization. "What has this got to do with colonization?" If they have a kid in the country, then the kids become citizens, meaning the country is being colonized.
  11. Haven't you heard about the tents of refugees/migrants at Calais?
  12. Indeed, we should remember that Blair and Cameron messed up all these countries which led to their refugees overrunning Europe.
  13. "nigel farage from ukip has explicitly stated in his campaign that refugees are at the doorstep of UK. That is a blatant lie and distortion of facts...." That is totally true, just look at what is happening at Calais.
  14. Because I"ve seen how it works. When I passed through Calais there were two lineups for entry, one for those in the EU and another for those not in the EU. There were only myself and a Mexican in one line and the other line most of them were Islamics in a long line up. They just let them all pass through without any questions. Also I used to work in the UK on a farm and there were numerous illegal labourers there mostly from the Baltics being paid a fraction of minimum wage.
  15. I'll bet the majority you see there are not of British heritage.
  16. Kacee: There are numerous financial hubs in the plural sense. "It attracts forieign investers." So? London is the capital of England, should it be ruled by the interests of foreign investors? If the medium is money, then the message is one of rule by money. One global empire replaced by a globalist empire of the monied elite. "The fact that it is tolerant of foreigners keeps it unique and a role model for other capital cities." That doesn't make it unique at all. It is common in major cities. "You won't find that dynamic in any other european city." Yes you will. "And what do you mean EU is losing its numerous cultures and who are exactly these foreigners you keep referring to??" It is obvious. The EU has numerous cultures whose heritage has been there for millennia. It is the European Union e.g. the Union of Europeans, not Muslims and of the rest of the world, but they have treated it as the latter rather than the former. The globalist union. "With all respect but you are giving me alot of of idioms like neoliberalism, colonilisation, globalisation etc, etc with little substance of what this has to do with UK exiting EU!!" The EU promotes all of those, which are various forms of each other. By leaving the EU Britain re-establishes its sovereignty and can head in the opposite direction of those values if it so chooses.
  17. The EU makes it so they can't regulate their borders.
  18. How is that unique? Every major city is like that now. There is nothing unique about globalization it is the destruction of all that is unique. "The question still stands...what has this got to do with european union" It is a microcosm of all the major cities in the European Union. The EU is losing its numerous cultures by being overwhelmed by foreigners. It is being colonized by the new neoliberal class.
  19. Immigration is reality. Have you been to London lately? Seen many people of British heritage there?
  20. And then they benevolently decolonized half the world. So why are you being racist against the British? This is the cruel spiteful mentality of Christian morality combined with Neoliberal Globalism. It is a form of ressentiment turned to schadenfreude and todestrieb towards one's own culture, people and country.
