Romney Tax Evasion Blown Open by Bloomberg
Mr.Canada replied to cybercoma's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Unless you see his tax returns first hand you really cannot say that to be true. -
Lol, that is ridiculous.

The parliament buildings are part of our heritage. They don't build anything like that anymore with all the stone work. Everything today is all glass and stucco or pre cast concrete.

I don't think it's clear that Romney payed NO taxes at al plus I'm not a one issue type of person. One issue can't be the deciding factor.. -
Why can't Canada be more nationalist?
Mr.Canada replied to Mr.Canada's topic in Political Philosophy
Lol, I don't remember writing that, I may have embellished it a bit. I have been to jail quite a few times yes but I never stabbed anyone with a mop handle though. Sounds like a movie. A pardon is obtainable after some time has passed since your sentence ended and the board who makes these decisions is convinced that ones likelihood to reoffend is low. -

No I agree with you on that point. I think that everyone should pay their fair share to help society as a whole especially those who are in need. -

Yes, if anyone in Canada gets convicted of any kind of assault, even common assault the judge will pretty much always slap a 10 year weapon prohibition onto it.I got a pardon for my crimes, so my record is gone now, well sealed. All of my record was assaults and none were with weapons. I had poor control of my emotions and would lash out physically. All the same as long as someone isn't banned from owning firearms they can apply. If you're banned, even applying will get you charged again with a breach of a court order. Edit- if you breach a 10 year ban you'll most likely be rewarded with a lifetime ban...lol. -

I don't have money to hire these, "apparently" brilliant accounts to work on my portfolio day and night looking for legal loopholes. -
Winnipeg police chief touts prayer to help combat crime
Mr.Canada replied to betsy's topic in Religion & Politics
What harm is it actually having on your life right now if a police officer happens to pray in their squad car? Tell me effect it will have on your life at this moment if it was happening right now, this instant. -

When you've spent your lifetime building a business and personal wealth you have to hire great accountants to protect that money legally. it seems to me that he has done just that. Good for him. -

Don't worry about it then. Nothing to see here. Nothing to report. -

As others have said, it really depends on if this person got a pardon or not. I doubt someone with a conviction for assault with a weapon would get one. -

Most are for 10 years, not for life. I had numerous convictions for assaults, never with a gun mind you, and I got 10 year prohibitions every time. -

Do some Posters insult with impunity?
Mr.Canada replied to Wild Bill's topic in Support and Questions
I support racists right to say whatever they want but I don't have to agree with it plus I can choose to not listen to it. -
Press complains about access to Harper.
Mr.Canada replied to Topaz's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
I see so you freely admit that the CPC is the centrist party in Canada. Interesting. I agree that the Liberals have moved so far to the left that it's hard to tell them and the NDP apart. Justin is like his father and a socialist so he will continue to drag the party further left. Maybe they will merge parties and Canada will have a 2 party system like the USA. That would be a dream come true, honestly. -
God and the devil speak to each of us pulling us this way and that. One must study the Bible for answers and to know which is speaking to you, trying to influence you.It is the devil that speaks to people and convinces them that God doesn't exist, for this I must tell you the truth. Follow God and salvation shall be yours.

Patriotism is important and needs to be strengthened not weakened. The socialists are trying to water down what it means to be a Canadian until the term itself is meaningless. That is their goal, the destruction of Canada. -

All through the ages gold and solver have been used to trade and it will be the currency again. Sure at first it won't be but once things slowly are re established then precious metals will once again have their place. Bottom line is that the people with guns will be ruling the people without guns.
