Delusional Liberals in Denial
Sir Bandelot replied to August1991's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Well, so glad that you feel fit to speak on behalf of millions of Canadians. But it seems to me from what I see that some Canadians do indeed want this to happen. The real question is, why? I think because the idea of revolution has appeal to some voters. For me personally, I see the whole system is corrupt and ineffective. I certainly will never support Harper or the CPC, whom I see as a bunch of cowboy-hat-wearing western bankers with racist non-secular ideas. They want to control people more by restricting freedoms. They want to make us like the United States with big military spending, big prisons for the new Canadian war on drugs, and run the country by fascist ideas. But the other parties are really no different, they just have different investment partners to answer to. I would never support Dion, who made a train wreck of the CPC minority government by genuflecting and bowing out during crucial votes, not wanting to oppose ideas even if they were un-liberal, for the sake of politics! What a despicable, spineless tenure. And forget Layton. He is just another of the same breed, a puppetician controlled by his business ties, who will say and do anything to get votes. Exact same goes for egotist Bob Rae, I would never vote for him. Nor Ignatieff, who undermined his own party time and again, he's either a treacherous backstabber, or just a fool. And we don't need any more of those. So amongst this deploreable mess that we call Canadian politics today, with these visionless leaders the idea of a coalition is the only one I think has any hope of making improvements. At least, until this generation of losers is put out of harms way. But my cynicism remains. See Vienna "Red" parliament 1931 -
SAD CHRISTMAS NEWS FROM PARLIMENT HILL
Sir Bandelot replied to madmax's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
I doubt that those were her main motives for removing it. This has happened before elsewhere in courts in North America, often accompanied by protests from religious believers. Someone earlier posted that the origin of "Christmas" is merely a ritual ceremony, and the date for this holiday is set to coincide with winter solstice on December 21. That is the day which the sun rises at its greatest southern declination. After that the sun begins rising more towards the north each day, and days start getting longer. Many cultures in the world have religious festivals during this time of year. -

Dion to step down, reports say
Sir Bandelot replied to Pat Coghlan's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
The only thing thats saving him from complete failure, is the fact that Harper did not do well himself. He had a worried look in his face, like a hunted animal, and he said basically nothing but rhetoric. They both get a -1. But then, Canadians did not give them their full confidence already, the election proved that. So, away with these clowns... bring on the coalition. We don't want Dion, we want a coalition which includes Layton and Duceppe! How else can Canadians get Duceppe to become the prime minister of Canada! -
I thought Harper did not do well in his speech. He looked uncomfortable or annoyed, like he was holding back. Frustrated, perhaps. What he actually said did not impress me, really all he said was just typical poitical rhetoric. Then I saw the Dion show and I just laughed. Man, who is on this guys PR team? Are they too stupid to make a decent video, or what? Dion also didn't impress me. I think he really should just stick to french and let a translator do it for him. He really comes across much better when he speaks french. But I think it's best that he is replaced as soon as possible.
-
And he does not mention about previous times when the CPC has made deals with the Bloc. I guess then it was ok?
-
Maybe it will be good for Canada. I prefer the french canadian style to the english, who are wipers of other peoples bums.

If the Governor General Decides on Election...
Sir Bandelot replied to M.Dancer's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
No, we don't want to spit on USA. This is coming from the USA! Looks like we know why Harper called the vote, before Obama got elected. Harper must go, now that puppet-master Bush and th neocons are leaving the white house... to be replacd by the neolibs. Canadas solution is better, a coalition. Let them argue each other -

Do you know if theres also one thats for it? Thanks, -
All this sits well with me, because for one thing I did not vote for any of them. But the question is, would I have voted for a coalition? Or really, why shouldn't Canadians have the final say, in a referendum such as "Should the coalition be allowed to govern?"

There is no conservative party. Remember these are Neocons... a form of fascism mingled with conservatism and a little of old Alberta pig-farmer logic. The real conservatives have no option. -

Harper is popular only because he represents the cult of personality. But behind him are the philoshophies of Albertan pig farmers, something that most decent Canadians don't want. But most people are only impressed by an image and don't care about the details, and so their vote is influenced by propaganda... one of the flaws of representative democracy.

The option of Proroguing Parliament
Sir Bandelot replied to punked's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Harper actually lost when Barak Obama became the next president. Although none of the current leaders deserves to be prime minister, other than maybe Gilles Duceppe -
