What is everyone's feelings on public education? I have kids in public schools. They are decent students with no behavioural issues. They feel their education is lacking because teachers have to spend too much time disciplining behavioural problems, and working with kids who are in Grade 6 yet can barely read or write. i am not blaming teachers here. I'm just very disgusted that kids who ruin learning for those who want to learn get all the attention. Am I being ridiculous?

I couldn't believe the debate last night. One of the questions was about funding the arts. Who gives a rats a$$ about the arts. I pay enough taxes without having it go to some pot-smoking poet in search of his inner feelings.

I didn't miss any point. There is a nice looking school division office there though. That is one impressive looking building.

You're totally right about the media bias. A study at UCLA on this topic found that 80% of media in the USA leans left. That includes tv, newspapers, and radio. 80%!!!! If that is all people hear, that will be all people believe. Humans are much like cattle.

It amazes me to read letters in the newspapers by Canadians who seem to want more and more from the government. People want the government to give hand outs for everything, such as daycare. It seems to me that if you were raised in a strong nuclear family with strong values that you have a major strike against you because according to left wing politicians, you were born with a silver spoon. Having the drive and desire to go to university or college to better yourself and to get a good job is another strike against you becuase you are going to get nailed in taxes to cover those who think they are owed something by the government. Don't get me wrong, taxes are necessary. There are people who really do need social assistance, and that is not the problem. I have a problem with people who collect social assistance and use their money to buy beer and cigarettes; people who are able to work, but choose not to because the government supports them. I put my child in daycare and have to pay $30 a day. I don`t have a fancy house, fancy vehicles, boats, campers, don`t go on expensive vacations, etc. Then there is the farmer who has a brand new truck, nice house, all kinds of little toys like boats and quads who pay $2/day for daycare. Is that fair? I`m being punished for having the desire to complete university so that I have a decent paying job. I know this seems like a rant, but I am very frustrated. Have a nice day.

I think that it is 99% ceratain that Obama will win in Novemvber. Let's talk about his medical platform. Obama wnats to provide free medicare, ala Canada, to 300+million Americans + illegal aliens. How will he do this? Tax the working even more. I wonder how Americans will react when they have to pay $38+ for 24 beer? I don't think most Americans have any idea what will happen to them under the Obama government. With 85% of American media pulling for Obama, especially NBC, people who want the truth really need to go digging for it. It amazes me how many people are suckers of the mainstream media. Many humans are nothing more than a huge herd of cattle. Mindless, and believing everything they hear. The CBC in Canada is nothing more than the media arm of the Liberal Party of Canada.

Is it a coincidence that after years of NDP rule, that Saskatchewan is having a boom similar to Alberta, under a new provincial leadership? NDP = Take from those who want to do something productive in their lives and give to those who choose not to work, even when they are able to work. It amazes me that the NDP has any support amongst working, tax paying Canadians. The NDP puts the "welfare" in welfare state. Could you imagine a country with Jack Layton as its PM. My goodness.

His history is very checkered Wild Bill. The only problem is that he's gotten away with it. He's very pro-China, and Kyoto will help a nation like China while punishing nations like Canada and the USA.

The funny thing is that a scientist who supports human caused global warming is a genius and a respected scientist, and any scientist who offers an opposing viewpoint on global warming is a kook, or on the fringe of the scientific community. I'm not saying that humans aren't causing global warming. However, there are very intelligent scientists who oppose the theory and get no air time, because the left-wing dominated media will only show what they want you to believe. There are two strong sides to this debate, but we are only hearing one side. By the way, Al Gore is the biggest hypocrite you'll ever find.

What a ridiculous post. Those of you who are anti-police should remember your sentiment when you need the police to help you. People who dislike the police should point their anger at left wing judges who release criminals who continue to re-offend.

I recently spoke to a soldier back from Afghanistan. He told me he hopes he goes back because Canadian (NATO)soldiers are the only hope millions of Afghans have for a better life. The strife caused by the Taliban is unbearable. Thisisn't something you'll hear on the CBC. The media in Canada is in the tank for Liberals, and anyone who doesn't dig for the real truth is just a all believing puppet of the media.

Most rural Manitobans are happy with the NDP??? Really??? Undert the NDP, more ER's have been closed in rural locations with decent populations like Virden and Killarney. The NDP have made it very difficult to recruit foreign doctors to our rural hospitals. Many foreign doctors won't even consider Manitoba anymore beecause of the difficulties imposed. You don't know everything Mr. Greenthumb.
