  1. I always thought the Toronto Sun was pretty left. I haven't read it in forever because I felt it was for idiots.
  2. Except that the demographics and numbers don't support that at all. Nice try buddy. Hope you're not hurting yourself with comebacks like that.
  3. Ignatief is done. Canada made up their minds about him a long time ago and he's not going to change that much. The LPC can't afford another outing like this one. As for him working with Jack as PM, that's really not going to happen. That would spell the end of the Liberal Party.
  4. I'll try not to get too upset over what you say. In the meantime...I'm going to watch this again and laugh at how big of a tool this guy is. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=11zIvtJ6jak&feature=player_embedded
  5. The Globe and Mail is the only newspaper in Canada that I don't feel has an enormous bias. The National Post is right leaning for sure. The Sun is left leaning.
  6. The Japanese will likely buy some F-35's. I'm not contesting that. I'm contesting your scenario where they buy 6x as many as Canada does when they already have 100 brand new 100 million dollar fighters and their defense budget isn't a heck of a lot bigger than Canada's.
  7. We're just making fun of the guy. There's a lot to laugh about. Stop taking it so personal and get on with your life.
  8. I think the Liberal camp has thrown in the towel. A clear sign of this is that they're campaigning hard in Liberal ridings in and around Toronto. He's campaigning in what should have been sure bets for the Liberals but his inept campaign has left him on the defensive. He was in Guelph yesterday, of all places, defending a well liked and well respected incumbent in Frank Valeriote against an unknown rookie CPC candidate with very next to no political background.
  9. Oh I can't wait for tomorrow to see you eat crow.
  10. They have endorsed the CPC of late because the Liberal brand is in shambles and the only other alternative is a joke party in the NDP.
  11. Oh seriously. His personality is all he's got. His economics are pathetic and someone like you, who professes to be a fiscal conservative, defending him is pretty laughable. Layton's numbers aren't just questionable, they're outright lies and as far as I know there isn't a reputable economist out there supporting him or his 'policies'.
  12. What the hell are you even talking about?
  13. 65-70 at best and only if the bottom has indeed fallen out of the Liberal campaign.
  14. It just paints Layton for the joke that he is.
  15. Well I'm not saying they're not going to do a whole lot better this year. I'm saying that they won't do nearly as well as some of the loonies here are saying (not including you in that) and that there's a huge danger of splitting the soft Liberal vote and improving CPC fortunes.
  16. Just a lot of history and a lot of demographics to back up the assumption that they won't materialize. TV and beer awaits at home. Why bother voting?
  17. Just wait Bubber. The NDP vote won't show up. The numbers you're seeing now won't even come close to materializing, and we'll all have a good laugh about it tomorrow.
  18. Project democracy makes me laugh. It's funny to see the anti Harperites wetting their beds and fussing.
  19. The left has been humoring the right? Don't you mean wetting their beds, screaming, fussing and crying for the last 7 years? Yeah that sounds a little more like it.
  20. Is this the same Jack Layton who was living in subsidized housing while working as a city councilor? Yes. Yes it is.
  21. I hope you're still posting here after the election so we can all make fun of you.
  22. Despite what I've always thought about the Toronto Star (always following the Toronto vote) it is impressive that the NDP finally got a major media endorsement. That's basically the last friend the Liberal brand had and it ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS endorsed the Liberals. No more.
  23. It was a clown show of a ruling made by an angry opposition. Nobody cares because the ruling was made by a partisan opposition. Is anyone surprised? Nope.
  24. Go back to the numbers Derek. I keep telling you that. They don't have the budget for more. Nothing in your citations suggested otherwise.
  25. The Japanese aren't replacing 125 Phantoms with 125 F-35's. They don't have the budget for it, particularly after the F-2 program which cost them about $10B for the whole order.
