No one has a clue which party will form the government because there is no direct vote for the "liberal" party. By convention the party also provides a Prime Minister who has no mention in the BNA act or the 1982 Constitution. So no we do not elect the the party, we elect the people who happen to be of a party. To know what people really want would have to be asked to them directly via a referundum. Not done because most politicians know their shite won't fly. Canada's parliament has never made a decision that required the "peoples" say, so why would it start now?

There are other ways to make money that has nothing to do with earning a pay cheque. One primary Area is investing in the Stock Market. Had you bought Teck Resources in March and Sold today you would be realizing an %800 percent return in 4 months. Any Commisioned Based position requiring you to generate a transaction is not a pay cheque. There are lots of ways that involves specialized knowledge or good luck which translates into wealth. If you should be fortunate enough to accumulate a million dollars in your money aquisition you could then put that money into a Government of Ontario Bond which will earn about 5 % which equals $50 000 a year. That is not a pay cheque and would not be subject to EI tax. These examples are available to anyone and everyone. Chances are if you are kicked out of your job and pushed to collect EI its because of some dick making more than $40000. All income paid should be subject to EI tax. Maybe instead of an amount deducted, it should be a percentage of income. 4 % sounds about right. So If you make $20000 you pay $800, if you make 200000 you pay $8000. It's time it is recognized if you draw a pay cheque you are a loser and you pay. After having anyone drawing a pay cheque paying and it is established EI is overfunded, Lower the percentage. EI has to stop being a tax on the poor and put as a burden to those who cause unemployment.

People should see EI for what it is: an extra tax on low income earners. After around $40000 no more EI is deducted from your income. What should be done is EI is paid regardless. If you get a paycheque you pay it whether its a pay cheque for $500 or $500000 and no income cutoff. This also goes for CPP. I accept EI and CPP as another tax. Its time it be treated as such and levied on all income, period! Why should people making more than the EI cap get even more money to spend? There is no such thing as a world market for oil. World oil prices are propoganda spun by the greedy alberta oil industry. If there is one spot where the oil has to be bought from in the world provide the link to that spot. The fact is, oil is being sold on the exchanges around the world and behind closed doors. World Oil prices is a crock of crap invented by Alberta's oil industry. No such thing as World oil prices If there were you would not have China inking deals with Russia to buy oil for the next 20 years. Similar deals have been made with venzuala and other countries. Well, we have NAFTA which means goods and services flow across the border tax free. I think the real problem is Canada is not importing enough refined Gas from the US. Problem two it's not as easy as driving down to the US and filling up a trailer full of Gerry Cans and coming back. The Canadian Government will stop you and some of you would also have issue with that. What I think has to happen is a company has to be established. Once the company is in place apply for a licence to import Gasoline and then go find a Gas Wholesaler to buy from in the US. I know communist Canada will try to stop this, if they do, Communist Canada can be taken to Court for NAFTA damages. On the flip side this would establish whether the US is a closest communist country or is in fact a free market. So the only obstacle to me saving money on Gas is Communist Canada. Buffalo $2.12 - A two and half hour drive from me. 56 cents us, 68 cents Canadian, Local Gas Stations 84 cents. A 16 cent difference. It takes about 58 litres to fill my Car. I am being ripped off by $9.28 cents. With income taxes, at least $12!!!!!!!!! That's just me, what about every one else around me? Over a Year, that is $627 being stolen from me by the Gas Retailers and the Government. Am I being paid more than someone working in Buffalo? I doubt that very much.
