Abortion and capital punishment. Soldiers killing people.
To me, all the same: the State condones death.
======
What is the point?
I object to death and destruction.
We send soldiers to kill other people - even innocent civilians.
Why not allow the State to kill prisoners?
====
In Canada, we allow women to kill children in the womb.
What's the difference between abortion and capital punishment?
I understand the logic of Trudeau Snr: a federal State must offer official languages everywhere.
But why do these bureaucracies still exist?

IMHO, this series - indeed all Radio-Canada, CBC content - should be available to all. Around the world.
We Canadians paid for it.
Waterworld.
-You will see zillions of dollars on the screen and Kevin Costner is correct: the tech people knew what they were doing.
-The problem is the characters: who is whom.
The Sorcerer - 1977 - Imdb Cost: 22 million, Revenue: 9 million.
It's available on Youtube. I reckon that this bomb is due to casting, and the third act.
What a business! As William Goldman wrote, "No one knows anything."

Second point? I'm talking of Goldman - on the Internet. Point made.

Here's my initial list:
-Waterworld

Churchill famously said that India is no more a country than the equator.
Pierre Trudeau famously asked: Where is Biafra?
To negotiate peace, he allowed the FLQ to fly to Cuba.
Nixon bombed Hanoi.
We Canadians bury our war dead in place. There are many Commonwealth War graves around the world. New Zealanders.
Americans tend to bring their war dead to a central place.
I have been to both. Wandered around. And I have always asked myself: What was this guy doing? Why did he do it?
