They have commitee travel which takes them to foriegn land, i assume the prime ministers cost of travel is added to that figure. Not to mention the cost of travel to and from your riding. Office expenses and staff. $400,000 per member is actually quite cheap. If how ever you don't like the total number how about we reduce the number of seats.
His show has really entered the forum of entertainment, but the substance has suffered. However he did bring some good contributors over with him, that I enjoy seeing on Bill's show.
Really they know that so it isn't about what is right for Canada, it is about the liberals seat count. I thought so. Elections are fluid things as well, so the liberal party might not pick up those seats all it takes is one gaff as the conservatives found out in quebec. At this poit there is no good reason for Canadians to go back to the polls this year.
No they aren't a couple of percentage points is not significatly different, no one is any where near majority territory. Numbers don't look any different. The outcome won't be much different, there are only a handful of seats that are close enough to go either way. this result won't be any different.
I voted, and no I wasn't happy, but the result will not be any different this time around either the polling numbers are much the same as they have been since the conservatives first took power, and really the result will be the same as before.
Why really do we need another election in October? Nothing has changed since the last election, all I can think of is ignatieff thinks he needs to go before the job numbers start to improve. Which always follows the market up swing it is that last thing to correct in a reccession. Another 300 million so we can have the same result and disfunctional minority parliment.
I can't beleive we will be headed into the 5th election in the last 9 years. I hope that if the liberals do bring down another pointless election on us they are punished, as with the other two parties who have done nothing constructive in this session but huff and puff.
Just as a comparison I wonder what a loaf of bread and a liter of milk sell for in these northern communities vs the ROC I bet that the cost of living is a way higher.
Thats what a health transfer is, a big lump sum of money given yearly to be spent however in "healthcare". Funding hasn't been cut since Martin last cut it down yet the quality of care is still sliding.
Harper increased funding to quebec, (not for health care but a transfer non the less) what did Charest do imediatly lower provincial taxes and call an election.
Glad we cleared up the "poltical" reality as apposed to the "political" dream.
