It was not illegal if it was they would have been brought up on paching charges to say the least which fish and wildlife takes very seriously. It was the father doing the hunting as the hunting extends to more then just the kill. The Father was doing the hunting the child was assiting. Which is not illegal. The law that you are refering to is to prevent a child from going out on thier own. That is what is illegal, not taking your child on "your" hunting trip.

Ex-Tory MP Jaffer charged with cocaine possession
Alta4ever replied to jdobbin's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
I will doubt you will find many that wouldn't want his punishement to follow the letter of the law. Once he has had his day in court I hope the law is applied to him the same in which it is applied to any citizen who is in the same circumstance. No special treatment. -
Wow! Have you forgotten all the times the liberals have supported the Conservatives. Are yuo sure they won't do it again, oh wait they are tomorrow, they are going to let the Home renovation tax credit go through and wait yep the libs are bending on the EI reform as well, better find out were you can get a bloc....never mind Gile has stated he will support the government too, better buy a green membership, while they still exist before May sinks them.

Was the child actually hunting? Or was the father doing the hunting? For the child to hunt they would have to have their own ticket and be out to get their own animal. In the case above, the child was assiting the father not the other way around. You must be city born and raised you seem to understand nothing of how the world actually works, just the bubble you live in. Why do you think that fish and wildlife leaves these people alone?

Albertan Universities - Which is best?
Alta4ever replied to August1991's topic in Provincial Politics in Canada
why are you going to university for the veiw? You should be going for the book training necessary to get an entry level job in your chosen profession. Calgary is the better school. -
I'm sure the 8 year old was on thier own, do the stalking, tracking, killing, and carcus transporting. The eight year old was along for the ride.

Who threatened to form a coalition if the government didn't go into deficit spending? Who said the government wasn't doing enough, and now is screaming too much? Who has asked and stated the government isn't doing enough on each budget tabled, but complains about deficit spending?

BTW the BC code says that a person under 10 cannot obtain a hunting license, it does not state that they cannot tag along while a parent is hunting.
-
Do I live in BC?

Its fishing something morbid that you should protect your children from. You are fighting and pulling it out of its habitat torturing it as it fights you on the end of a hook, to either be suffocated or clubbed when you get it in the boat until it stops thrashing.
-
It is not illegal to take your child hunting.
-
So is it wrong to take a child out fishing? Same activity just different equipment.

Really is this so, then why at age seven did I understand what the death of my grandfather ment? You give children too little credit. How and where food comes from is a very important understanding that should be taught at a young age rather then feeding ignorance. Everyone should be taught from a very young were food comes form, how society is fed and what that invovles. Its not like these kids where taken to the slaughter house to see first hand, to be traumitized by a mass slaughter machine.

what do you expect from a liberal who thinks they know your back yard better then you do. -
it is not possible our recent history has proven it. It is a political document and politics is about the art of the possible and changing the consitution is not a political possiblity.
-
Obviously you were never asked to help dad slaughter chickens behind the barn to pluck and cook for dinner. Childern should know were food comes from. It never hurt me, my parents or grand parents or great grand parents so on and so forth. Society should be very aware of where our food supply comes from and how the industry works, to have children grow up ignorant of farming practices breeds entitelement. They beleive that fgood should just magically be availible to them in the grocery store
-
No it can't if you recalled what happened the last two times an atempt was made to change the consitution.
-
It was unneeded, and now we do have problems with the consitution because elements of it are not applied equally and it cannot be changed.
-
They never needed to be "enshrined". They existed, and the government couldn't just changed the common law precedents.
-
Yes they did the BNA act was the constitution and they existed as .a part of common law under that document.
-
The rights and fredoms already existed under our consitution prior to 1982.

Nothing wrong with one member one vote, but you should have a waiting period before you get full voting rights in the party. Not what the PC's did line one buy a membership line two vote for party leader. -
