If buy "United States' government you are totally wrong. If you mean that US companies sold components you are correct but so did Asian and European countries. No one sold Saddam 'chemical weapons.' That is absolutely false. Leftwing crap that passes as 'journalism' these days.

Actually if you cared to get your facts right one of the problems with aid to Iraq (in preventing his regime from losing a war to Iran and making it a superpower) was the use of chemical weapons. The ingredients for those weapons and know-how were primarily obtained from Asian and European countries.
