Iraq and Al-Queda
Regulus de Leo replied to GostHacked's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
What is your point? Do you have evidence that shows that Saddam didn't support terrorist groups? If you bring it forth. It is well documented that Saddam did. -
Iraq and Al-Queda
Regulus de Leo replied to GostHacked's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
http://weeklystandard.com/Content/Public/A...14/889pvpxc.asp "This ought to be big news. Throughout the early and mid-1990s, Saddam Hussein actively supported an influential terrorist group headed by the man who is now al Qaeda's second-in-command, according to an exhaustive study issued last week by the Pentagon. "Saddam supported groups that either associated directly with al Qaeda (such as the Egyptian Islamic Jihad, led at one time by bin Laden's deputy, Ayman al-Zawahiri) or that generally shared al Qaeda's stated goals and objectives." According to the Pentagon study, Egyptian Islamic Jihad was one of many jihadist groups that Iraq's former dictator funded, trained, equipped, and armed." -

Abortion Linked To Mental Health Problems
Regulus de Leo replied to Regulus de Leo's topic in Moral & Ethical Issues
Is that your conclusion? -
Remember how great divorce was for kids? How sexual liberation would reduce sexual perversion? How abortion was good for a woman's mental health? They were all 'truths' liberals told us in the 1970s. Not the case.... "Women may be at risk of mental health breakdowns if they have abortions, a medical royal college has warned. The Royal College of Psychiatrists says women should not be allowed to have an abortion until they are counselled on the possible risk to their mental health. This overturns the consensus that has stood for decades that the risk to mental health of continuing with an unwanted pregnancy outweighs the risks of living with the possible regrets of having an abortion."

Obama's biggest problem is this: His claim to power is based on his judgment because he lacks experience. This calls into question his judgment. Can he judge character? Can he appoint people to advise him who are competent and can give good advice. He already had Wright as an advisor on his campaign. This incident undermines his quest for the Presidency considerably.
-
No he hasn't. He'd heard reports about the Pastor months ago (he admitted) and yet he had him as an advisor on his campaign. This is a man he sees an an 'uncle' who married him, baptized his kids and gave him the name of his book The Audacity of Hope ( I guess 'God Damn America' wasn't accepted by the publisher).

Did the Holocaust really happen?
Regulus de Leo replied to 1967100's topic in Moral & Ethical Issues
Zundel was deported because he was not a Canadian citizen (never applied for it) and he hadn't been resident in Canada for years. He was apprehended on a national security certificate (where was Naomi Klein and Avi Lewis to stand up for his freedom? AWOL....guess he shoulda gone Muslim to get their attention) and he was wanted in Germany so he was shipped out there. Here's a Holocaust revisionist in action....says 50-60 Jews died in the Holocaust.... http://www.memritv.org/clip/en/1711.htm -
Iraq and Al-Queda
Regulus de Leo replied to GostHacked's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
This thread is incorrectlly titled. There were plenty of links between Saddam, Al Quaeda and other terrorist organizations. Saddam sponsored terrorists. The report says there were no 'operational links,' meaning they were not acting in concert with Al Quaeda. -

Oh the irony....but hey if the Palestinias hadn't stolen billions from their own people and spend the rest of the money on arms they might have had better hospitals. http://www.spiegel.de/international/world/...,540689,00.html "When a Palestinian woman gave birth to twins in an Israeli hospital she experienced what it is like to be the target of rocket fire from the Gaza Strip. The father is holding the first photos of his newborn twins in his hands. He is worried about the rockets being fired at Ashkelon. He says that he would never have believed it possible that he could be indebted to the Israelis for anything. "What a confusing situation," he says." -
The waterboarding poll

The article is wrong and draws a false conclusion from the same type of general information you do. You can read the 9/11 Commission report (a bipartisan report) for a bio on OBL and how he came to power. The Russian use of bombs disguised as toys is correct. http://www.worldnetdaily.com/index.php?pageId=11081 http://www.heritage.org/Research/Internati...tions/bg556.cfm http://usa.mediamonitors.net/headlines/cas..._in_afghanistan -

Iowahawk Spitzer parody.... http://iowahawk.typepad.com/iowahawk/2008/...charges-of.html "Amid Charges of Spitzer Tryst, Embattled Prostitute "Kristen" Expected to Resign New York - At a hastily scheduled morning press conference at the headquarters of New York's exclusive Emperors Club prostitution ring, high priced call girl "Kristen" announced that she would temporarily step aside in the wake of charges that she had engaged in sex with New York Governor Eliot Spitzer. "I made a serious mistake and betrayed the trust of my co-workers, my many clients, and my pimps," she said in a quiet voice cracking with emotion. "I will be taking a leave of absence to earn their forgiveness, and redeem myself in the eyes of the entire expensive whore community."" -

If you believe people in the Oval Office pulled off 9/11 you have zero credibility. -
The waterboarding poll
Regulus de Leo replied to Moonlight Graham's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
The Taliban was merely one of a number of Afghan groups. They seized power and plunged the country into civil war and then harboured the terrorists who were responsible for 9/11. Yes fighting against a foreign occupation by Russians was 'freedom fighting.' Afghans fought for their country against a foreign invader. American forces are in Afghanistan at the behest of the democratically elected Afghan government. Janice Stein on the Agenda the other week stated that poll after poll has showed that Afghans do not want the NATO forces to leave Afghanistan. Your embrace of conspiracy theories is nonsense. 9/11 was a low budget affair involving simple weapons, rehearsed and coordinated plans with surprise and novels means. This is why it succeeded. If you are going to don your tinfoil hat I don't see the point of continuing the discussion. -
The waterboarding poll
Regulus de Leo replied to Moonlight Graham's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
If you are referring Osama bin Laden and his foreign fighters in Afghanistan, they brought their own money and were financed from the Middle East. The CIA assisted local Afghan fighters not OBL and the Al Qaeda. This is one of those canards bandied about by the Left who try to argue OBL and Al Qaeda were 'created' by the USA and CIA. You are just plain wrong. BTW, the Russian occupation was brutal. They dropped explosives disguised as pens, pins and children's toys to deliberately mame Afghan children. This is well-documented. The local resistance centred on attacking Russian troops in Afghanistan not murdering innocent civilians in Russia. -
The waterboarding poll
Regulus de Leo replied to Moonlight Graham's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Your signature displays a hopelessly naive creed. Afghan shepherd know a lot about bombs. Their country has been engulfed in war for over 25 years, long before the Americans got there. Al Quaeda is not an organization comprised of 'shepherds.' Many of them were educated in the west, raised in wealthy families and come from urban areas. -

My favourite Ayan Hirsi Ali moment was when she whipped the butt of that smug leftist, Avi Lewis (who is dumb enough to have joined Al Jazheera...he would have joined the Nazis in the 1930's no doubt). If you want to know why the Morrocan thief was out on bail, it is because Holland is notoriously lenient towards criminals such as in this case here... http://www.nisnews.nl/public/110308_2.htm -
The waterboarding poll
Regulus de Leo replied to Moonlight Graham's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Good point. Che was bloodthirsty but not all freedom fighters are murderers and thugs the way so many communists are. Rightly or wrongly? You mean you don't even know what is right and what is wrong? They hate Westerners for being Western, secular, or Christian. They are raised with hate. They hate women. They everyone who is not a Muslim and they hate Muslims who don't adhere to their own radical version of Islam. -

You know nothing about Holland. Gays are being beaten on the streets by 'youths' who have decided they will impose intolerance upon a tolerant nation. This woman was told by police to go into hiding. The Dutch can no longer guarantee the safety of anyone who offends Islam or offends adherents of Islam who choose to take the law into their own hands. -
The waterboarding poll
Regulus de Leo replied to Moonlight Graham's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Ah, no. That simply isn't true. Once does not have to a murderer nor bloodthirsty to fight for freedom. Al Quaeda is not fighting for freedom nor can they claim the US is occupying 'their country.' It isn't. -

Of course in Toronto there are strict laws preventing bars and restaurants from smoking but for the homeless they get a $5 million dollar shelter built for them complete with rooftop smoking area. http://torontosun.com/News/TorontoAndGTA/2...923656-sun.html -

No she didn't. She left because she had been living under death threats. She was not deported and she has Dutch citizenship to this day. If she were any other refugee Leftwingers would support her but because she says the truth about the Left and Islam they hate her. -
The waterboarding poll
Regulus de Leo replied to Moonlight Graham's topic in Federal Politics in the United States
Problem is Al Quaeda's country hasn't been occupied by the US. Al Quaeda has no country or at best it can claim Saudia Arabia as it's country and the Saudi government invited the US to keep bases there. There is no occupation. It is laughable that you suggest terrrorists are 'freedom fighters.' The specifically state that the oppose both democracy and freedom which they characterize as 'Un-Islamic." The Left is wilfully deluded into comparing blood thirsty murderers to 'freedom fighters.' The French Resistance WAS fighting for freedom and they WERE fighting a occupier. -
