  1. Well...its just my opinion too...but I agree with you.
  2. Is that woman one of the ones who are considered to be respected elders? Is she one of the people we are expected to listen to? when she submits oral history are we supposed to give her word equal weight in comparison to what we have documented? If that is the case then I'm afraid I must admit that the whole "oral history" thing is a complete crock of sh*t. I find the videos linked to so far do nothing to prove any "right", at best they merely show the lengths some people will go to in order to prove their point. Obviously this incident high lighted some misbehaviour. Lets look at what we've seen so far. A native woman screaming "dont push me" before anything had actually happened. A barely discernable push. Then, in other videos linked to, McHale, bleeding and obviously assaulted. So what was the greater crime? A barerly discernible push, or a guy who has obviously been violently assaulted by one or more persons who are deliberatly trying to cause as much bodily harm as they can. I'm sorry, I just cant ellicit any connection with the supposedly "assaulted" native woman. I think the whole thing was a set up designed to further an agenda using rather simplistic propaganda techniques.
  3. Is that an accepted word nowdays? I find this whole thread is kinda getting sidetracked into a debate about Christianity...again. I believe that there was a strong cultural influence involved in this murder. From my point of view religion may have been involved in this act, probably was, but cultural norms and acceptance of behaviour played an equal or greater part. This man was...what...57? So the greater part of his life was spent in a society that either openly, or overtly condoned this sort of display of control. Believe it or not, there are countries where this is normal. The fact of "honour killings" (should actually be called Dishonour Murders) cannot be disputed. From what I understand this man was raised in such an environment. Is it any surprise that he resorted to what he lived with in his original country? I dont think it's realistic to believe that all people can shed a lifetime of social conditioning with a short time span, just because they moved to another country. I've travelled extensively. It's hard to understand what these countries are like if you haven't been to places like them. Its almost a feeling in the air, you know that as a male you are superior, woman are subject to you. The signs are both subtle and obvious, the result is an attitude. In the west this attitude still remains, but in a far more dilluted and diminishing form. Thats a good thing. It also makes it very hard for people who have only known this to really understand the cultural influences at play in this act of murder. So in short I really don't think that any rational person would rule out culture as an important part of what happened. Also religion. (Sorry, I just couldn't resist )
  4. QUOTE You like to generalize as much as those you criticize. I would say that only a few posters believe what you state, yet you phrase it in such a way as to include any who recognize this situation for what it is. The result of archaic cultural practices. I would have thought the answer would be obvious to you. Where do you think they "flow" from? Obviously from area's or Nations where such or equivalent practices are the accepted norm. Why? Did you think these are the normal "flow" of Canadian cultural practices? I seriously doubt that such cultural practices in places like Clairsholme or Barrie or Dildo or Victoria are accepted as part of our social norm.
  5. You like to generalize as much as those you criticize. I would say that only a few posters believe what you state, yet you phrase it in such a way as to include any who recognize this situation for what it is. The result of archaic cultural practices. You further marginalize the legitimate concerns of others by using the patronizing term tsk tsk. Please do not lump those who recognize a problem in with those you imagine want what you stated. Bottom line is that this is a culturally influenced situation. I don't think it's being racist to state that these sort of actions have no place in our society and should never have been tolerated in the least by anyone in the first place. If you do believe this sort of attitude is acceptable then go ahead and fill yer boots, just don't expect me to ever agree with such a ridiculous attitude.
  6. Actually I believe the opposite is the truth. Remove the the checks and balances to such behaviour and the worst will tend to come out in people. Do you honestly believe that without opposition the Germans would have just turned to each other and said, "hey Franz, I think we should stop doing this, I'm feeling pretty guilty about all of it."? I don't think so, if that had been the case there's a damn good chance you either wouldn't exist now, or you'd be speaking German and worshipping the might of the Third Reich. I am kinda wondering where you came up with such an outlandish notion though.
  7. Sorry Rue, I think you're way off base with that one. I think it happened exactly because she refused as you put it "to follow a certain moral script". It has been mentioned previously that it's pretty hard to strangle someone to death in a "heat of the moment" sort of scenario. You really have to work at it, it takes a rather lengthy amount of time to do this. In fact you have to keep strangling after the victim looses consciousness. It's not like he struck her on the head or anything, he strangled her, not choked, or put his hand over her mouth and nose for a while, strangled. From all indications it certainly was morally or culturally inspired. So far I haven't found anything that would indicate it was accidental, lots that indicates a cultural influence though. Besides, how the hell do you accidentally strangle someone? It's the real world, you have to make a deliberate effort to do so. I know you find this disturbing as its at odds with your world view and adoration of the cult of multi-cult but unfortunately these things do happen in the real world.
  8. Ahhh, I see, because he doesn't agree with or condone the native criminals he's childish. My friends niece a 16 year old was on her way home from work recently when she was assaulted by three natives, a real assault, not a fabricated setup one. They broke her nose and knocked out a couple of her teeth trying to get her bank PIN from her. Thats an assault, not some pretex push that was incited. So far the cops haven't done a thing, even though she can identify them. So what of the assaults perpetrated by six nations. If the law is so important to them why haven't they denounced and turned in these people? After all, the whole thing started because of illegal native activity running an unauthorized smoke shop, the natives should have been helping to close it down shouldn't they? For someone who isn't Jenny your posting style is uncanny in its similarity to hers.
  9. Actually after watching the video it does look like a deliberate setup. If you watch carefully you can see her set the stage as to what follows. She does get in his face and manouvers herself to remain so, also the yelling about pushing when nothing has happened at that point.I didn't realize that the six nations criminals think he's such a threat to his cause that they'd go out of their way to set him up, and use the flimsiest of excuses to do so. It must be because public opinion is running strongly against them. That video is the closest thing to proof I've seen so far. It still however falls into the category of propaganda though, since the whole video appears to be no more than an exercise in propaganda. I'm afraid you'll have to do better than that in order to convince me of the virtue of the Natives cause Jenny.
  10. Not that I'm directing anything against Exploited, but what does the length of time a member has been on a board have to do with the quality of posts? Of course there hasn't been much quality in this thread anyway, still, I fail to see any usefull significance to your length of time post. Now, back to what I said pages ago. Has anyone seen video's of the assault. I didn't see any assault on a woman but I may not have seen the correct video's. I'd like to know more about what happened, not the propaganda version, the factual version.
  11. Education is key to this situation. Personal responsability is also a major factor. When you have many people who are uneducated or poorly educated it spells trouble, couple that with a refusal to be responsible for ones actions and you have the breeding ground that has in part spawned the situation Natives now face. these are certainly not the only reasons but they do play a major role. The Ontario government has offered 6 nations 28 million dollars in settlement. This money could be a major boon to them if they truly do want to change things, I dont think they'll accept that though. After all 28 million is a far cry from "everything" which is what they really want. Do you think it's her? Making another assault on this sites posters as she tries to ram her agenda down everyones throats.
  12. Actually to me it looks like Myata has done an outstanding job of ignoring facts and denying any view that does not suit her agenda. It would appear that you may be a little challenged in some area's as well. You go on about mandatory safety training yet it has been stated over and over in this thread that such already exists and has for years. It's good to know that your arguements are based on a total lack of knowledge of the subject though.
  13. So far all I've seen from Greenthumb is insults and name calling, nothing of real substance.
  14. Give it up guys, Myata quite simply refuses to be moved on this topic. You can show facts all day and this poster will either twist or ignore them, as best serves their agenda. I'm done with this, it's no use talking to a brick wall.
  15. Wow! It's obvious from this comment alone that you don't have a clue what it means to be poor. Yes, books are expensive, Fishing requires a rod and reel plus tackle plus license, what do you suggest the poor listen to classical music on? Where will they obtain this classical music, just hum it all day? Sure, learning to cook costs nothing as well. All these things are fully accesible to someone who doesn't even have $10.00 to spare. There are many who live a bare subsitance existance. I know many who are middle class or even well off, I also know many who barely have enough to get by on. You appear to be some one who likes to make generalizations and assumptions based on no true substance. You should lower yourself to the level of these "Morons", try volunteering tio help a womans shelter in some capacity. When you see a single mom trying to raise three kids it might give you more understanding of what poor is.
  16. I'm probably wrong, but it sounds almost like you believe a better course of action would be a campaign to get softer on crime.
  17. Interesting stats. Could it be that poorer people watch more TV than wealthier because they cant afford more productive entertainment activities? Also interesting is the fact that News and Current Affairs shows were watched at a higher rate? Still, these stats in no way justify the general statement made about the west. As I said, that statement was akin to one generalizing all Muslims, or Jews, or any other collective group. It contained assertions that were more malicious than factual.
  18. Thats a rather large generalization. I don't think you can be serious, maybe you meant to say "many in the west". What you just said would be akin to me saying all Muslims are terrorists. Personally I agree with the author, I've found the cult of multicult does indeed fragment a population, not draw it together. As for the my take thing, well thats a nice idylic dream, but in the end is just that, a dream. I'm afraid there is little practical room in reality for dreams. All in all I found it to be an insightfull article that raised some very valid points.
  19. Oh hell, don't tell me you think the Pit Bull ban was a good thing as well! Once again, like the registry, it does nothing to solve any problem, merely allows government and its sycophantic ninnies to intrude even more in our lives. Did you know the jerk off crowd are now turning to other breeds of dogs to replace Pitties? They are, net result of ban, nil. Just no more damn fine dogs allowed, the problem still exists, the bad owners. Shit, lets figure out some registry to solve that one too! Same thing with the expensive farce known as the registry, how many illegal firearms has the registry removed, come on, don't all shout out at once.? How many gun crimes has it prevented? As I said, don't all shout out at once.
  20. How did you find out about the Microsoft conspiracy? Actually Microcrap does want to dominate the world market in desktop GUI's. Thats why Bill tried and actually is still trying to take down the far superior Linux GUI/OS.
  21. I'd say beyond any doubt that they don't like it at all. The truth though is that they don't and won't recognize the role they had in engineering this present situation. I can't recall any Nuclear meltdowns or other such emergencies in Canada yet the majority of people act as though its inevitable and going to happen any day, all while they offer no credible replacement for the Nukes.
  22. I think you're right, for the life of me I can't understand this hysteria, but it does exist in Canada. What really amuses me is the fact that Canada had Nuclear warhead tipped missiles in the past and hardly anyone knows about it. Imagine the Hysteria if we still had them, that would be a circus of clown shoes run amok indeed.
  23. Finally! Something we can agree on. I think there may be a lot of truth to what you say in that statement. As for Hetero fags, well maybe you should check out Alberta, not too many of them out here, mostly men who believe in direct action and getting the job done. I don't know though, maybe in Calgary or Edmonton. Big cities you know, lots of wussy guys more concerned with fashion and flash than getting the job done. (That last was facetious, well, sorta, maybe.)
  24. Ahhh, I see the point you're making. It is true that the ownership is the registration. You must do a transfer of ownership (your true bill of sale, you might say). As such when you transfer the ownership you are actually registering the car. Sorry I misunderstood what you were getting at. Now, back to the subject at hand....anyone remember what it was?
  25. I had a girlfriend from Australia, she told me that these kinds of occurrences are actually common enough to be the norm on the Aboriginal reserves. They police themselves and in many cases don't do a damn thing about such acts.
