  1. It is an interesting little story Rue, but just a story. One point the Zealots miss is in reference to bayonets. We don't use them. Bayonets are issued for ceremonial purposes, parades and such, not for actual operational purposes. Especially not within the confines of Canada.
  2. In response to the question posed by the thread title. When is a gang of thugs extorting money from citizens ever a positive step forward?
  3. Small note here Wilber. They "dip" the tanks. Sorry but I had to mention that.
  4. So in other words they only respect the law when it is convenient. Thanks for clearing that up.
  5. I find it interesting that you and Joan like to talk about following the law, the law is on the Natives side, blah blah blah. It's interesting because in the next breath you turn around and state that the law doesn't apply to them as they are sovereign nations. So what is it? Does Canadian law apply to Natives or not? Is it only applicable when suitable or convenient? How can they demand the protections and provisions of the law when they publicly state that Canadian law does not apply to them? Just a question.
  6. See, now I have to disagree with that statement. I believe the NDP would be a whole lot worse than the other two. As for the thread title and entire premise I just have to say that it has to be one of the biggest steaming piles of runny crap I've seen in a while. I wish people would learn more about the Nazi's and Hitler. Maybe they wouldn't be so quick to toss those insults around if they actually knew what they were talking about.
  7. It could have something to do with the fact that they're, how should I put this? Ummm...how bout very race concious. I see that frequently when I go to the local pub and a few always like to use whitey and try to pick fights, unless it's one on one. They don't want anything to do with that.
  8. I wouldn't say occasionally. Last time it was so frequent it became part of your mantra.
  9. Actually the first time she told this story I believe it was one fourteen year old girl and there was no mention of ships and props. This is a prime example of why I don't buy any of the propaganda from these people. As I've said before the story changes continuously to suit the flavour of the day. I'm curious though. How does a fourteen year old with a smashed pelvis manage to swim hard enough to avoid the vortex effect from the props? I've seen Zodiacs with 50 horse outboards get too close and it was everything the motor could do to break the suction effect. Was this girl related to Superman in some way. Must have been since with a smashed pelvis she wouldn't be using her legs to swim.
  10. That being the case you should realize that no one particular aho is superior to another. Lack of such understanding is the first step towards aho'ism, you shouldn't go there.
  11. For me its laptops in general. A high priced piece of junk that gets tossed aside in a few years.
  12. You must be talking about Six Nations. I really find your discriminatory judgemental manner to be a bit disturbing. You should realize that no one particular race is superior to another. Lack of such understanding is the first step towards racism, you shouldn't go there.
  13. Nice. You always retreat into the same defence when shown how full of waste products you are. I'd say you are interested since I was answering a comment you made that most certainly beyond any shadow of a doubt concerned my personal life. Not only that, without knowing the first thing about me you decided you knew what motivates me. Man! You are such a hypocrite. By the way, you never responded to my statement about your use of the term "people like that", why not? Oh, thats right, silly question. You didn't have to. It was obvious that you were once again being a hypocrite. Would that be anything at all like your use of the "broadbrush" when talking about non aboriginal white people? More hypocrisy, keep it up, gotta love consistency.
  14. Hmmm, where can I get a ticket for that cruise or airline? Do they wear rubber and leather?
  15. Yep, looks like this one is shaping up to be just like the last one. All they do is convince sane normal people to ignore them. As for the UN, well its no more than a farce, toothless and worst than useless. In fact downright harmfull in many instances.
  16. Yeah, I'll never forget that image either. It was actually three "warriors" and the kid. He was a green private at that time, just out of his battle school course, the first one. He didn't flinch or waver, I was so proud of him, as was everyone in the Forces. He enjoyed a meteoric rise through the ranks until he hit Sargent. After that I heard he was busted down again for Cocaine use. Too bad, he had the makings of a first class soldier. Ironically the Mohawk Warriors use that picture as a symbol of their warrior fitness. All it shows me is that three of them were stood down and outclassed by one young guy who was still green. In fact Dudley George had a copy of that picture on the wall of his house. As they say, the Devil is in the details.
  17. Is it Psyllium Fiber? Or is it ordinary William Shatner Fiber?
  18. There are actually quite a few alternative propulsion systems in development currently. Some have been around for years actually, all that was lacking was the tech to make them reality. Most of these ideas are actually pretty ancient as they are merely variations on the traditional sail. Some are, kites, blimps, vertical wings, combination rwl/sail systems, or just lwl hulls. Hydrofoils are also very efficient but require much higher maintenance routines and costs. As such the rwl and lwl systems are gaining far more favour. These wind assisted systems (other than rwl and lwl, which are not rwl or lwl as such) are good for comercial ships but not for ships of war. At this time the more traditional forms of propulsion are the only option. I don't think kites and their bretheren will ever be a practical reality for warships.
  19. Oops! Sorry Joan, you missed on that one! I actually have pretty good relationships with my ex's, all except one. I send gifts at Christmas and on birthdays to my little ex-part-Algonquin girl and her daughter. When we've talked recently she's even asked about us trying again. I'm tempted but said no. She has a pretty major drinking problem that I cant accept. I certainly don't hate her or wish her ill. You may be interested to know that she was as equally disgusted as myself when her relatives and friends would discuss various scams to fleece the government. Wow! Kinda puts a damper on your whole six nations are saintly proposal doesn't it. Her brother is actually a major power in the area of Aboriginal health, he does some pretty intense lobbying for increased benefits. On some issues I agree with him however I can not agree with his goal of total support for perpetuity. Hell, they even dragged me up to Caledonia one time when it all started. I ended up hitch-hiking home I was so disgusted with what I saw and heard. So Joan the lesson to be learn't here is never assume, it'll turn around and bite you in the ass if you do, like now actually. Oh, and by the way. These are some of the reasons I don't believe the propaganda coming from six nations. It's pretty hard to snow someone who has seen the reality in action don't cha know.
  20. Like I said, seems very familiar. So you concede the point I've made? It looks like you do since your only response is to retreat into childish meaningless posts. Nice technique, gonna be influencing a lot of people with that style of debate. Well done!
  21. Well said WB. Myself, well, I wonder what the problem is. I wish just one of the people who bitch about the Monarchy could even just one time show me a tangible way in which the Monarchy has a negative effect on them. And lets not trot out the old "offends me" horse, thats just manipulative crap. As for the clown who brought the case forward in the first place, well he certainly should not be allowed to be a member of the forces. I for one, being from England would never trust this guy. He would probably also incur some ill will from many other many members. He wants to be an officer yet by his actions has shown that he has absolutely no idea about what that involves. We tend to take our oath very seriously in the forces. We further see no harm nor shame in proclaiming our allegiance to the Queen. As was said before, if people don't like the Queen as our Monarch then they should perhaps seek out some nice cozy Republic where their delicate sensibilities wont be so easily offended. Oh yes, whats this sheer bull about Canada being a Colony?
  22. And with this one tiny little sentence it gets even more interesting. You can rail against people for making statements that you view as stereotyping yet with that one little sentence you yourself have indulged in a major example of stereotyping. That is known as Hypocrisy, sometimes it can be unintentional and as such understood to a degree. This example however appears to have been fully intentional and as such should be seen as blatant hypocrisy. Now I'm not going to say you are using a pseudonym and masquerading as someone else but your style does seem very familiar. If you were hiding your on-line persona would that not indicate you are part of a group that could be accused of being "that type"?
  23. It's no big deal Rue. I imagine I'm categorized as a Heathen as well, it doesn't really bother me. I enjoy my life greatly, do nothing to harm others, try my best to help others and am thoroughly content. So if thats what being a heathen entails then I'll wear that badge any day. Besides being called a heathen isn't as bad as being called a bad evil state sanctioned murderer, at least I don't think it is. Not in my book. Let Kengs have his fun, it's not like any one takes anything he has to say seriously anyway.
  24. Hmmm...now this is getting interesting.
  25. Well that account doesn't really match anything I've heard before about the bridge. Reading it is almost like reading a story invented for children, happy ending and all. This is what I mean when I say continuously changing childish reasons are given for such behaviour. It's also the reason I cant accept anything First Nations say at face value. My ex was part Algonquin (one of my ex's, I've got a few), I actually got to see the thought process in action on a personal level when her relatives and friends would visit. And yes, mention was made sometimes about how to obtain more money and power, nothing about righting historical wrongs. Just another reason why I have zero respect for these people. Their behaviour has certainly done nothing to sway my opinion lately.
