  1. This is OT but what the hell, It looks like the offer of the gift was not well received by the leaders of the indigenous peoples. It appears the building in question is not conducive to indigenous culture. It's been categorized as a "left-over" by critics and indigenous architects. Translation: "we want land and money where we can build our own freaking building with our own freaking symbols". That's probably what will happen in the long run.
  2. Henceforth, we are to refer to aboriginals as indigenous people. BTW, today June 21 was previously known as National Aboriginal Day; Our illustrious PM has renamed this day National Indigenous Peoples Day. The old US embassy across from the Parliament Buildings on Wellington street has been offered to our indigenous peoples for a cultural centre**. The Langevin Block will be renamed shortly, given the association of Langevin with the residential school system. Details here: http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/ottawa/national-aboriginal-day-ottawa-langevin-1.4171253 As far as the OP is concerned, the Vice-Regal screwed up, has apologized and will be replaced this fall. I say let's move on. Don't we have bigger fish to fry? **Why the hell has the old US embassy building on Wellington street been kept unoccupied for 20 years after our government purchased it from the US in 1997? What a waste of prime real estate. Sheesh.
  3. LOL Sauerkraut anyone?
  4. I'm grateful that we didn't accept Nazi Germany as the new normal. Where would we be now had we done so.
  5. Did you ever try flipping over french fries on a cookie sheet in the oven with a spatula as the instructions tell you? I don't try any more.

      hot enough

      "What's with these bogus instructions?"

You have to ask, capricorn. Omni only does bogus. Bogus science,

  6. Deny deny deny. I already informed you that I am a 9/11 conspiracy theory denier. Why do you keep bugging me with these denial questions? Besides, you're in the wrong thread. This thread is about the Grenfell Tower fire.
  7. And quite appropriate I must say.
  8. As you have no doubt surmised by now, this site is not fertile ground for 9/11 conspiracy theorists. It beats me why you're still at it here. Surely there must be at least one internet site where 9/11 conspiracy theorists can gather. There, they can massage each other's posts and links in order to nurture their views of the 9/11 event.
  9. Aw, and that would have ended his access to any more government and university research grants.
  10. Wow! What an impressive resume. And long too.
  11. I appreciate you taking the time to answer (although I suspect you have this info at the tip of you fingers ready to paste here as need be in a nano-second LOL nano-second, get it?). All things considered, and in spite of your concerted efforts to convert readers to your beliefs, I have decided to remain a 9/11 conspiracy non-believer.
  12. Oh, and let's not forget that the First Nations Financial Transparency Act was brought in by Harper so no doubt Trudeau and company will gag when they read that court decision.
  13. http://globalnews.ca/news/3536577/court-order-gives-onion-lake-cree-nation-30-days-to-disclose-basic-financial-records/ I suppose this decision will cause many band chiefs and councils to cook the books before they too are compelled to disclose financial information to their band members.
  14. Fully agree. Since the tower was a council owned property, U.K. authorities should also be held accountable to the hilt.
  15. I see. A nano (i.e small) bug that eats wood.
  16. Er, what is nanothermite?
  17. http://globalnews.ca/news/3534486/london-fire-grenfell-tower-cladding-canada/ Are they illegal here? From the same link. In any case, the company that supplied the cladding for the Grenfell tower renos will soon be out of business.
  18. Peter Mansbridge is retiring this fall. He is so knowledgeable and irreplaceable, the CBC will will need 3 news anchors.to do his job.

    1. Argus

      Argus

Just measure their noses and see which can go further up Trudeau's ass. That'll be your replacement.

    2. Omni

      Omni

Uh oh, someone else who believes the cbc is controlled by the gov. At least this one is Canadian.

  19. You have no shame using this tragedy to spout your 9/11 conspiracy sermons. Your useless words are getting old.
  20. The fact that you're keeping scores tells me that you do in fact firmly believe in your conspiracy theory. Good on ya.
  21. Come into my web said the spider to the fly. No, said the fly. Other webs have insects that I can overtake. P.S. I know this is off topic but I couldn't help it. My poetic side took over and the above is the result.
  22. If that's the case, that tells me that the plane in question is kick ass and well built.
  23. Treating a damaged Quran as if it had human qualities is kind of creepy.
