Agreed. The OP seems to be based on wild hunches rather than any researched evidence.

It has gone up again recently to near unprecedented prices, and reports on the news say the price around where i live is expected to go up to about $1.20/L by Christmas. Heck, usually it seems that prices generally go up in the summer months and then dip down when the winter hits, but the prices just keep rising! So what is the current reason for this, if anyone knows?

What's your vitamin D level?
Moonlight Graham replied to Topaz's topic in Health, Science and Technology
Last year i saw a survey of about 10 doctors and the newspaper asked them individually what supplements they take, if any. All of them said they took a vitamin D supplement, i think a few took a multivitamin too, but there wasn't much else they took. i was surprised. I can't recall the amount of vitamin D they took though, but it varied. it wasn't anything like 10,000. -
Did they steal the Christmas tree, boxing-day sales, and bow-wrapped presents from them too?

Equality? No such damned thing!

You obviously don't know jack about human psychology or sociology. Some things are genetic, others are environmental/learned behaviours. -
We wouldn't have to establish a new government if we (the west) didn't have the resources. Plus is we did, we would likely have China to contend with. Compared to Afghanistan or Iraq, war with NK would be a conventional war like it was in the 50's. And IMO they would get raped. NK has a lot of soldiers, but we destroy them in tech. SK has better tech than they do right now because of US support. China is the big question mark though. However, China and NK aren't exactly best friends either. China aside, we would have air and sea superiority vs NK. Why send in a ton of western/SK troops when we could just bomb the hell out of them from the air? In terms of troops, maybe the only thing we would need is to hold the line on the border. In the end i hope all this war B.S. settles down.

China, Russia and Cuba say it's OK to kill fags
Moonlight Graham replied to Argus's topic in The Rest of the World
China goes for oil over principle in the Sudan. I guess China likes to keep the oil flow going in the name of blood just as the west does. -

Somebody has to teach the Chinese the english language. UN recently came out with its 2010 HDI rankings. Canada is ranked #8 best country in the world. China is ranked #89, just behind the Dominican Republic. CHINA LOSE. -
China, Russia and Cuba say it's OK to kill fags
Moonlight Graham replied to Argus's topic in The Rest of the World
China sucks, so Chinaman comes to Canada because its way better than sucky China. China win. So does Chinaman. If Chinaman thinks China is so much better than Canada, Chinaman free to go back to China. But will he? Nope. China win. -

Well then say that! Don't claim that the US "created" al-Qaeda, because everyone knows that's BS. The best anyone can say is that they were partly responsible/influencial, but so were a lot of people/groups/countries. Also, show me evidence also that the CIA trained OBL? Both OBL and al-Zawahiri deny it, as does the US (duh).
-
Even if the US did help fund/equip the mujaheddin in the 1980's, it doesn't mean they created al-Qaeda. Bin Laden was already very wealthy, he didn't really need any US money to fund al-Qaeda or Maktab al-Khidamat, its precursor. Other countries such as Saudi Arabia funded the mujaheddin as well. And the common conception that the CIA directly "trained" Bin Laden is very likely false. Bin Laden and al-Zawahiri already were also steeped in their radical Islamist, jihadist ideology, which is IMO the #1 underlying factor in their involvement in the mujaheddin and in the creation of al-Qaeda. It is better to say that the actions of the US (including their military presence in Saudi Arabia near Mecca and Medina beginning in the first Gulf War, though the Saudi government is also culpable in this as well) were one of the various reasons al-Qaeda came to be, and gave them more reason to spread jihad globally (as did other actors such as Israel as you mentioned).
