  1. I have to agree with you on that one Bubber. There was a demon in his mind.
  2. Well said. Compassion has it limits when it comes to the safety of others in the current world we live. Given the nature of the monstrous acts committed in this case, the government, and medical society as a whole have a responsibility to the Canadian public to think objectively and rationally and keep Mr.Li institutionalized permanently if not for his own good, but for the good of the rest of society. What scares me is the Liberal mentality around the particular macabre acts of the insane committed by Mr, Li will someday become common place, and it is those of us who disagree with them and their Liberal views that become the ones deemed worse than Mr. Li. A couple of folks clearly pointed out that out to me and others already I might add. To defend this man to be allowed anything beyond permanent institutionalization (which certainly can include supervised beach visits) is completely irresponsible and naive.
  3. Who's kidding who here? Perhaps some of the folks in here who feel they are far more human than those of us who think he and the general public is safer if he remains permanently institutionalized, would like to invite him over for a BBQ w/the family if he ever gets out? Somehow I don't think there will be any volunteers in here anytime soon. Anyone who feels Mr. Li's mental health and well being outweighs that of public safety should see a shrink themselves. To consider him and treat this unique psychopath like your average schizophrenic is irresponsible to say the least.
  4. Wished he was dead? Please cite where I stated that. It's not a stretch to believe that had this happened as little as 20 years ago or in the state of Texas he likely would have been shot on site for this is it?
  5. Obviously this is a topic that is very personal to you. I apologize if what I said offended you personally as it apparently has. It was certainly not directed at the mentally ill in general or your son, just Mr. Li and the acts he performed due to his illness. Again, no personal offense was ever intended here. I cannot even imagine how difficult it would be to have a child with mental illness.
  6. Spin it any way you want eyeball.. We differ on opinion as to what the definition of a monster is, its as simple as that and you react by attacking me for it, plain and simple.
  7. And like I said, what makes you so high and mighty to judge me? By your own standards, then you've proven to be no better than I.
  8. I never judged him, I stated what I feel that he is in my opinion based on his acts. For the record, he is obviously completely insane and of course by our justice system is deemed not criminally responsible and I support their verdict on his crimes. I am also 100% sure our ultimate judge (whether you believe in one or not) will certainly not judge his acts as a crime. This still doesn't change what he does as any less monstrous than it was.
  9. Thanks for personal attack #2 eyeball.. A monster is a monster based on the heinousness of the act committed and in my opinion, he falls clearly into that category, insane or not. If you dislike the term I used, or my opinion of what qualifies a person as a monster that's your problem but to morally judge me as a person for that opinion and term is completely arrogant. You aren't qualified to judge me or anyone else. I leave that up to someone else w/ more authority on the matter as you should.
  10. Typical attack from the left. Seems to me you could express your disagreement of me and others using this term to label this guy (which I still stand by) without resorting to personal attacks that even remotely compare me and others to the likes of this individual.
  11. Irrelevant by who's standards, yours? Is someone not allowed to state an opinion without it being labeled as "irrelevant"? By your standards one could also say your opinion of my opinion is also irrelevant.
  12. If it wasn't for the RCMP working with the constant fear of investigation and scrutiny should they discharge a fire arm in this country, this monster would already be 6ft under. Something tells me however, had they taken this guy out no one would have cared.
  13. You have disproven nothing. Evil is evil, regardless of perspective and THAT is my point which you clearly missed trying to "reason away" evil based on perspective as a means of legitimizing it.
  14. More Kool-Aid gulping from you Bubber.. Do your own research to find many easy to find "cites" to ease your own denial. The Earth is round..do you also need a cite for that too? The saying "ignorance is bliss" has been taken to a whole new level under the Obama administration.
  15. . Wipe the coffee off the Obama poster behind your PC Bubber, it's probably more important to you.. DailyKoolaid.com? Now there's a reliable non-partisan source we can all treat as gospel like you do. The IRS looked into the left organizations no more than usual. Tea party and other right leaning organizations were intentionally targeted by far greater margin. This isn't right-wing news outlets that spewing this, it's the Federal Inspector General of the United States. Even CNN and ABC are on this more lately. Know your facts before you make weak arguments from weak sources who want to marginalize the scandal as insignificant as you do just to protect a very corrupt administration. What gets me about you Obama lovers, you take a legitimate scandal riddled with corruption and un-accountability and spin it somehow make it all about GOP gain regardless ignoring how bad and dangerous this behavior is for a country.
  16. What? Made up and of no importance? Argus: Tell me you haven't been drinking the US mainstream Media-party Kool-Aid or the CBC who ignore anything and everything Obama does even remotely wrong have you? Lemme see, here's some info on these 3 "ficticious scandals" as you see them: 1. It is a fact that the IRS illegally targeted organizations purely for their political leaning to the Right. This is precisely why the House Congressional committee is investigating it and conveniently and as usual, nobody is talking and the director taking the 5th. 2. Someone in the state dept consciously made a decision NOT to send in help to Benghazi, instead uses Susan Rice to spin it as a random act based on an anti-Islam video. Again, the CIA claims they informed the state department this was not the case, yet the spin and the ignorance excuse is still being used with still no accountability for the victim's families. What was made up here is the lie released by the State Dept via Ms. Rice to protect Obama from any bad press during his campaign. 3. The DOJ targets the AP, FOX News and now a CBS reporter, seizing phone and E-mail records accusing them of aiding in espionage without any real evidence, yet the left wing outlet The NY Times gets a pass on the Wiki leaks. Wreaks of government trying to silence any opponents of their administration. This would never be tolerated by the media with a sitting Republican president. Had this been Bush or any GOP Administration it would be plastered all over every media outlet and there would be talk of impeachment by now. Trivializing these scandals as you do calling them "made up" in order to demonize the right is a typical left-wing tactic to draw attention away from the real problem in Washington. The left and the ignorant average voter in the US better wake up from the coma they seem to be in before their country and freedom are taken from them piece by piece from the likes of Obama and others like him. Here's a quote that I think accurately describes the current US administration for any rational thinking person: "A fish rots from the head down".
  17. This is priceless Jones..... Old white people. lol! Enough w/the Ageism already.. I am however impressed that you haven't blamed the Jews or Israel for the dreaded Conservative Party of Canada yet.
  18. Chretien's surpluses were thanks in great part to the Conservative Mulroney economic reforms that Chretien kept in place despite his "red book". Remember the "red book"? Chretien, during his reign pretty much did nothing of major consequence because most of the dirty work was already done for him. He just opted not to spend any of the surpluses generated by those conservative policies even @ a time of western economic high. As a result, he continued to neglect much of the Canadian infrastructure and Military in the process. Both were in shambles due to Liberal neglect. Yes, Chretien/Martin performed great miracles! Trudeau's policies are night and day from Harper's, nor did Trudeau endure an economic crisis even remotely close to 2009, so your comparison I don't agree with. Trudeau was a huge socialist spender whereas Harper is an economic recovery, infrastructure and stimulation spender. Is all of their spending responsible? No. More wealth distribution of the Trudeau years is something we do not need and it will hurt us in the long run. What we need are private sector jobs and industry growth.
  19. $100m. That's a little light isn't it? Also, please show us the auditor general report showing the $3.1B you claim has gone missing. Your conspiracy theories are just that: theory.
  20. Any form of government corruption is unacceptable but unfortunately it exists in every government on the planet. However, if one were to choose between the corruption of the Harper government and that of the Chretien and Mulroney governments w/my tax dollars, I choose the much lesser of 3 evils. If it was a Liberal government doing these so-called "horrors" of the Harper government you'd barely hear about it in the press..
  21. By your own logic, given the history of corruption within Liberal caucuses in the past we shouldn't elect them either then right? Perhaps the Green party can offer some true integrity?
  22. To even hint the recession in 2009 was due to the Conservative government is simply ludicrous... Alternatively, it amazes me that you Libs think their policies would have handled it better yet have none to present... Then to trivialize 2009 as "just another recession" is another example of how ridiculous Liberal arguments are.
  23. So please enlighten us all with the current Liberal plan to take us out of the global economic recession better and quicker than the Cons.. We've yet to see any real alternative come from your camp in quite some time now and the voters seem to know that as well. Again, I ask this: Do you think if the Liberals were in power since 2009 we'd be running a similar level of government surplus you Libs seem to think was entirely the result of Liberal policies in the 90's? If you do, and I said this before, you are living in a fantasy world where there was no global economic crash drinking your own red Kool-Aid. The action plan ads I see are advertisements for government programs and not Conservative Party political ADs like you guys like to constantly paint them as. If they were released by the Liberal government I would feel the same way about them. There is far worse government squandering of $$s that both the Harper and Chretien/Martin government have done that seems to get less attention than this nonsense. Is this the best the Libs can do lately to show us how terrible the country has become economically soley at the hands of the Harper government? Do I think the Cons could do a better job? Yes. What bothers me is how most of you guys ignore what the entire planet was dealt in 2009 and lay the entire blame on Harper for it yet tote the great successes of Chretien/ Martin who rode a global economy that was the highest the world has ever seen with policies and reforms created by the Mulroney government which helped immensely in the surplus they enjoyed. What was Trudeau's excuse for debt/deficit growth during his time in power?
  24. The NDP gave us a taste of their big government spending managing a large economy during the Bob Rae years in Ontario so I disagree that we don't know how they would manage...
  25. You Libs are all the same. Just ignoring the global mess the Cons had to manage like every other G-8 nation did... If you think the Libs./NDP would have ran a surplus since 2008 you're dreaming. Again, you guys fail to refer to the Trudeau years of exponential debt growth and spending.. Time will tell and so will voters in 2015.
