  1. More money is spent on worse things that have failed.. Show me evidence that a mandatory 5 years for possession of illegal handguns would increase crime. If anything it will make a lot of the criminals acquiring them think twice about getting one hence reducing it. I said harsh changes are needed and they are.
  2. So if you are a "brave big man" walking home with your kids from the 7-11 and can't get away from being beaten to death by 4 youths for what's left inside your wallet even though you have a gun in your possession to defend yourself is ok or worth the risk? With any law such as this, any crafty enough dishonest person can get away with murder with the wrong jury or judge so yes it needs to be modified or at least examined to help reduce the dishonesty but someone's right to defend themselves shouldn't be blindly removed just because of this Zimmerman case. There is no evidence to prove that this law is producing more and more murderers as you and others in here seem to think they are or possibly will. There are also similar laws in 30 other states passed by Democrats and Republicans alike just as I am sure many Democrat lawmakers voted for this in Florida. So I gotta love how no matter how ridiculous the opportunity may be, many of you who despise Republicans jump at the chance to blame everything you disagree with on the them. This is a prime example of that foolishness at its best.
  3. I already stated my point. You marginalized many of the ideas put forth by O'Reilly and those who agree with him yet have very few ideas of any real substance of your own. I was looking for better answers than he proposed and found none. Aggressively working w/black teenage girls and openly identifying it as a problem in the media via the news and public service ads in an effort to reduce having children out of wedlock, banning offensive "gangsta" rap and the bad role models it presents to the unsupervised black youth who grow up w/o fathers, stricter school systems with mandatory uniforms and federalizing gun crimes w/mandatory first offense sentences if caught with possession are "good starts" IMHO. Legalizing yet another mind altering substance in addition to alcohol and throwing government money at a problem without a solid plan fully supported by those in black communities is, in my opinion a small attempt at an out of control problem. Isn't it ironic that back in the 50's and 60's when we were still in the stone age of civil rights that the black family unit was in far better shape and a lot less blacks were dying? After all the advancements they've made for civil rights, there is even bigger problems than before rotting out the very communities their forefathers fought to liberate from white oppression. So yes, very bold changes need to be made and be made fast without the likes of these civil rights leaders labeling any of these ideas as racist and causing more division between the races. The current civil right leaders have failed and are still failing their own people so the black community leaders need to identify that and look for ideas that work and consider the bold ones O'Reilly had the gonads to speak out about.
  4. So legalizing drugs and increased government funding is the solution. Ok. I was looking for actual real reform details from you since you are so critical of all the other ideas posted here but it appears you too also have no better plan to solve the inner city problems plaguing black communities.
  5. Ok BD, we're still waiting for your solutions that are so much better.. Please enlighten us.
  6. Aside from blaming the sins of the past, whitey, and the law for most of the problems facing the black community in the USA what exactly is your solution BD? A good start would be for black parents and local community leaders to completely discredit and shun the likes of the self interest driven Sharptons, Jacksons and other so-called national civil rights leaders who have let them down and do the other things that O'Reilly suggested. That's how. Scribblet is right. "Whitey" can't do it without being racially labelled racist particularly by the above mentioned leaders who have and will continue to fail at helping their own people. Instead, both whites and blacks continue to turn a blind eye to the children who are the real victims who face a very bleak future unless something is done about the family problems and bad influences they face growing up. Can you imagine if Sharpton and Jackson worked with whites and hispanics to actually focus their efforts more on creating national AD campaigns and demanding true reform that will actually help fix what is eroding the inner cities? AD campaigns and community funding from their organizations to reduce teenage pregnancy, ban harmful music, demanding zero tolerance and stricter discipline and uniforms in schools etc....etc.. Instead they focus on padding their own wallets and creating more and more racial division and bad stats rising. As for Obama, he's a failure at addressing these problems as well. He too by ignoring some of these problems just adds to the division. The Zimmerman trial brought to light a lot of problems with racial divide, yet still we see no real action from our leaders to address these bigger issues facing the black communities today that would help everyone if they were resolved.
  7. This case went to trial because "the mob" demanded it and finally got it. As a result, there was the fully expected acquittal and a huge waste of $$s in the process. Anyone who claims this acquittal was racist is saying all 6 jurors are racist and the FBI is as well. Anyone still claiming this was a racist verdict is racist themselves. Also, Obama proved yet again what a weak President he really is. While I don't agree with everything Bill O'Reilly says, I think he summed up the problem w/race, crime and Obama's handling of all this very well this week: http://www.foxnews.com/on-air/oreilly/index.html#http://video.foxnews.com/v/2562291524001/president-obama-and-the-race-problem/?playlist_id=86923
  8. Payment owing? Really? So I suppose modern day Italy owes all the lands and peoples endless compensation their Roman ancestors conquered too? Exactly how much is enough? Please enlighten us with exact details. Perhaps all whites and countless millions of other non-natives who have immigrated here should just be deported? Is that enough?
  9. Comparing Canadian natives and the blacks in South Africa during apartheid is ridiculous.
  10. No surprise here. Get ready for more home-grown Jihadists. And Bryan, IMO in their mind it's us being a Western nation still full of "Infidels" is what makes us a target and not our "close relationship" w/the US. I blame these religious fanatics themselves and their warped agenda for us being a target.
  11. Not sure why you're arguing the point that human beings have never known peace with the above statement, but I do get the violence bit.. Such is nature AM, however the carnal human mind differs greatly from the beasts. We have a choice whereas the beast does not. Soon there will be a government ruled by someone greater than man that will bring true world peace.
  12. You're right. Before human beings should have been the correct wording...
  13. It sure has. Before civilized man is a very long time.
  14. Good point. If you legalize prostitution make it mandatory for customers to also adhere to the same regulations. In order to accomplish this, anonymity would be compromised, hence the reason "fair" legalization would be hard to pass..
  15. The sad reality is that just like the rest of us, these Li supporters wouldn't let him anywhere near their families whether he was supervised or medicated. They're just too damn self righteous to admit it.
  16. Man, I feel sorry for you. You are en extremely bitter person. You need to move on and accept the fact that just because you have experience with someone w/schizophrenia does not make everyone else with a different opinion on the topic of the OP is a bad or evil person person as you seem to think they are. Perhaps you should seek some counseling yourself, or bring it up @ your next session, whichever applies.
  17. Good point. How ironic you used the word "heartless" when "senseless" could also be used to describe many of the arguments by those you mentioned who seem to classify Mr. Li as just your "average psychopath" and feel we should treat him as such.
  18. You're entitled to feel they are irrelevant when they offend you or don't wash with your beliefs. For similar reasons, most of your views expressed in here remain irrelevant to me.
  19. Looks like the Mounties are making some arrests: http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/new-brunswick/story/2013/06/06/nb-shale-gas-protest-arrests-613.html Mr. Levi's statement proves that he and his "activists" feel they are somehow above the law which they are not. Theresa Spence is just one example of how many of these band leaders have screwed the taxpayers of Canada yet we don't see anyone protesting over that do we? Funny how many double standards there are lately and this is no exception.
  20. One sentence offends you so now you disagree completely, now who's not being objective?
  21. If it walks like a duck, talks like a duck... well you know the rest. Truth usually hurts.
  22. http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/new-brunswick/story/2013/06/04/nb-swn-elsipogtog-truck-rcmp.html Shouldn't this article read "Shale gas truck hijacked by 'native activists' in N.B."?? Using the word "seized" as if they have the authority to do that is just ridiculous. Quote: "As police, we support anyone's rights to hold a peaceful and lawful demonstration, but things need to remain peaceful and lawful," Farrah said. "That is very important and for us as a police agency. We have to balance our security operations with individuals' rights and freedoms in order to maintain public safety, peace and good order," she said. End Quote So does this mean that anyone can now hijack a vehicle in Canada as long as you are doing it during a "peaceful and lawful" demonstration? I know she was referring to the demonstration but you have to love how she made no reference to what was actually unlawful. No wonder there is a growing disrespect for local and federal government, and law enforcement in general when this type of criminal behavior continues to be acceptable in their eyes. The RCMP's hands need to untied and have to start pressing charges. At some point, local and federal governments need to get off the fence on this issue and soon. I'm sure the green crusaders will still applaud this event or call it insignificant and by doing so, endorse it. Just wait for it.
  23. If it makes him feel like the victor, let him rant... If given the opportunity he would defend that the Earth is flat as long as it served his liberal ideology and arrogance towards anyone who disagrees with him.
