Put up.\ I assert they have nothing to do with government. That in fact they are bilateral treaties which are agreements with the head of state. However treaties which for the most part are total trash and don't stand legal tests of lawfulness today in any honourable court. http://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/story/2013/03/08/pol-metis-supreme-court-land-dispute.html These types of cases are just coverup. The government cannot mess with treaty it has nothing to do with them. Federal Government is just an arm of the crown. The federal govt has to follow the crowns orders, not the treaty. The crown directs how the treaty is to be carried out. Its not for the federal govt to do that other than through lawful orders.

Inuit Can Keep Trading Polar Bear Skins
shortlived replied to scribblet's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Two prong, yes it sucks, however if they are dying drowning and starving wtf does it matter, they are going to starve to death anyway. Without a federal program to feed the polar bears they are dead, global warming has ruined their habitat. Its good they are hunting traditionally - if so. however it shouldn't just be for the skins. Of course let the bear that is meant to live live. If bears are going to die of starvation anyway, either the feds should cough up funds to feed them, or allow humane death. I do generally think animals shouldn't be killed for survival or for humane reasons. If the bears are terminal and in pain then its not so bad feeding them though is an option. I think they should wait till bears die of natural causes unless it is life and death, -

i disagree what good is a critic if they don't have visibility. I'd give him a daily spot on CPAC -
Poison in his drink at the hotel... disapeared on route to jordan I don't know. It is just a circus clearly a violation of the sixth ammendment America hasn't installed any up here yet. Its things like this that make me feel the shadow the Reich. Prince of pot physically exported seeds to the US, which well is sorta a crime, but it was a bs crime. Your states are legalizing the stuff. Pot prohibition is nonsense anyway, it just fuels the criminal underworld. The events such as abduction during an extradition to kuwait without a formal extradition request is just a flagrant violation of international law.

Cuts arn't deep enough, US policy is just batbrained in terms of economics and finances it is a long road to ruin. They need to get their stuff in order. Take over the federal reserve and make their own currency already. It is just a fascist system run by bankers as is.

http://www.usatoday.com/videos/news/world/2013/03/09/1974417/ Very problematic in my opinion that the US is trying a foreigner in US civil court for a crime that would have been committed outside the US. I find this entire principle problematic. The issue is that lots of americans call for Iran to be bombed, this would mean that if equivolent people calling on acts of war against a country could be tried in civil court. Anyone supporting war against another country would be a felon? I find this principle problematic at best. Also it seems to be in violation of the constitution of the united states for freedom of expression. Americans have many times called on people to be killed, are all those americans going to be tried on utter death threats or conspiracy to commit murder? The charge is utter nonsense, it didn't even happen in the US. I totally reject the whole premise of US civil court jurisidiction extending beyond the US to try foreign citizens in the United States... utter BS. This is just part of the bag of us interventionism that deserves people to scream down with america! He commited no crime in the US us F off. Charging him with war crimes is an entirely different matter that could be handled at the Hague through the world court and UN aparatus. American has no f-ing jurisidiciton to try foreigners for acts commited on foreign soil. This is a corruption of the principle of sovereignty. Its just a mockery of justice and kangaroo court , which is a shame as it tarnishes the US justice system even further. I'm sure Iran abducting John McCain and others and putting them on trial for conspiracy to kill Iranians is all good Or Hezbollah or other arab countries abudcting Israeli's for conspiring to kill them.. The charge is a sham due to the game it opens up. Foreign citizens cannot be arrested by a foreign state for things that are not crimes in the juridiction they are in and do not extend to other jurisdictions. Idiots in America who make laws that violate foreign soveriegnty like that deserve to be killed, who is with me Osama bin Laden's son has absolutely no chance of a fair trial in the US.

Canadian Economy under the Cons going downhill.
shortlived replied to kairos's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Yes. You see money is not a car, just try sitting on a pile of hundreds and see how far you get. The net gain was a car. People in Alberta got paper for resources, I'm betting though that paper is worth less than the resources that were traded. No, the economic growth measure is how many resources can be processed into cars, if cars are required. Moving money around has no direct impact on that efficiency. It is an associated trait that isn't required - aside from that being the form of currency. But my point was moving money around does not grow the economy, moving resources and having people able to turn those resources into cars is economic growth if the resource handling capacity and car output increases. Two totally different things. Money creates waste, because it adds unneeded intermediatry waste productions and personnel losses. Now sure that is how the world works but no it isn't real economic growth aside from printing specialized pieces of paper. It is a effectively a loss not a gain, because it is not a "real" required resource. If the car was unused surplus it would equate a net loss, and would not be economic growth at all. -

North Korea can blow up my house what about yours?
shortlived replied to shortlived's topic in The Rest of the World
By the look of these guys mastering of the cancan I am convinced they could be armed with spoons and pose a greater threat to human life than the US military combined forces. It would be a hell of a week... "Kim Jung-Un himself was even quoted in China as saying "We would only sustain 5 to 10 days of fighting before total collapse" Their will alone must move mountains I could not march the cancan on 500 calories a day. I probably ate more today than they eat in 3 days. or a week. If I was being starved like that I would nuke people, and use the spoon to get some meat. Kim Un appears well fed though, so the chance of him launching seems slim. This is simply a matter of carrying capacity. I want to go to north korea to help them grow food more effectively. Its not just the common folk starving or the criminals, its everyone, well almost everyone. I would canabalize the dead. .. hmm. -
All Provinces Interveners in Senate Reference
shortlived replied to Paradox's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
It is 50% of the population of canada and 7 of the 10 provinces. The system is pretty straight forward. Why are we questioning how the constitution is ammended, this was set in the 80's.- 6 replies

I don't belong in this thread, but I have to remind you SOCIAL supports 0 taxes, no income tax nothing. People who need services will pay for them. Those who can't pay for them should be involved in government programs to create income. There is no excuse for taxing people for services you can charge them directly for! There is a time when taxes didn't exist in form of income or sales taxes.

So it seems Page is going to be replaced...? Are there term limits on the posts, was he fired, or did he quit? currious "the job posting when Page landed the job but it didn’t specify qualities like tact or discretion, and sought someone who could build “trusting and confidential relationships” with stakeholders. North Korea can blow up my house what about yours?
shortlived replied to shortlived's topic in The Rest of the World
Korea has an army larger in personnel than the US... although it is about 1,106,000 (ranked 4th) officially. Their "reserve" is about 8 million. Their artillery alone would obliterate soeul in minutes. A nuclear explosion high alittude could wipe out japanese and south korean electronics. Of course all they could really probably do is occupy south korea. Not really sure where they could get from there.. Of course their navy has more troops than all the canadian forces? Not so sure about getting over here with them? ... orth Korea's fleet consist of approximately 630 combat vessels (Patrol craft, guided missile boats, torpedo boats, fire support craft, destroyers, frigates, corvettes, and three cruisers), 100 submarines, and 340 support craft (landing craft, hovercraft) I dunno I'm a little skeptical North Korea will engulf the US in a fireball. I'm willing to bet 20 bucks they wont. Any takers, Kim Un? -

My home is in Northern Ontario, I live many places. I'm senate material. I was in Southern Ontario at the time. Oh and they cancled the armistice........???????????/ http://www.cbc.ca/news/world/story/2013/03/07/north-korea-cancels-peace-deal.html Although CBC is really getting its words minced lately.. IT WAS A TRUCE NOT "PEACE" Maybe they are just trying to help with the war games? You know make it more real??? but is all the korean peninsula korea? without the armistice? -
They are not with the federal government, however Indian Affairs manages treaty responsibilities of the federal government.
-
So north Korea is like probably being sanctioned in the next hour or so. They say they are going to rip up the armistice and preemptively nuke the US. I was surpised to find out they can reach my home in Northern Ontario. I'm actually very much stop aggravating N.K. in mind and give them their islands back. But I could help but be reminded off..... <a href=" ">This</a> What a crazy war that would be. Except for the death carnage and torment, it would be awsome in terms of war to date. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F33N8cgEceI I thought I heard jets flying out from Trenton earlier this morning but maybe I'm wrong and it was just commercial jets flying out west... probably so, paranoia right.

North Korean "Self-Determination" Morphs Into Cannibalism
shortlived replied to jbg's topic in The Rest of the World
Better starving than enslaved by occupiers? Yeah people are starving in the US and going without medical treatment too while the US spends more than the rest of the world combined on military.. what is your point 1 in 5 blackmen are prisoners you think they are living good, I bet lots would like to be out in the fields instead of locked behind bars of iron. -
F-35 Purchase Cancelled; CF-18 replacement process begins
shortlived replied to Moonbox's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
I bet Russia and Chinas 5th gens (note china apparently stole all of the US's 5th gen techs....) are going to cost less. Wouldn't it make sense to save billions on buying Chinese... How does the Chengdu 20 stack up or the PAKF ? http://www.defenceaviation.com/2011/01/comparing-chengdu-j-20-with-f-22-f-35-and-su-pak-fa-or-t-50.html The J20 looks sorta familiar... maybe we can get in as an industrial partner with them... http://www.defenceaviation.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/12/chinese_stealth_fighter-300x109.jpg This line wins it What is the cost per J20? Its seems Chinas total defence spending is less than the JSF program cost I GOT IT, I KNOW HOW TO SAVE THE F35 PROGRAM!!!! OUTSOURCING! -
Free Post Secondary Education in Canada
shortlived replied to shortlived's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
No, free post secondary education... where does the tax payer come into this? The students pay for it all within about 10 years then they reduce tax payers costs. Not tax payer funded, tax payer rebates. It will save the government billions by the time those kids are adults. You don't get it, try agian, this is tax saving not tax creating. You just don't want smart people. The govt. is footing the costs for those half million students anyway. it is the exact same thing only more rational cause it reduces all the administrative BS. Which wastes time and money for everyone involved. Except people making money off red tape. It doesn't add costs as a program to the tax payer, it saves the tax payer money. You clearly didn't get it or are just BSing because you don't want to make the world a better place with less hate and corruption. -
I'm just dumbfounded that the cost per ship is ~1.67 Billion to build I bet 5 f35s could sink one.

Canada "ready to go to war against syria" press reports...
shortlived replied to login's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Syrian rebels took Golan heights un peacekeepers hostage http://www.cbc.ca/news/world/story/2013/03/06/un-peacekeepers-syria-israel-border.html I find it hilarious the CBC spin on this one.. "detained" the "opposition" is detaining the UN personnel... with demands to be met by "the syrian government" I dunno if this wern't an organization backed by NATO countries like Canada I think terrorists would be used rather than "detained by the opposition" If those were US personnel the US would go ballistic, the french would kill people... hold on whose peacekeepers are in that 20... That is a massively "bad move" by the rebels I would think there must be an ulterior motive. Perhaps like trying to get the monitoring forces removed from the golan heights.. for whatever reason.. I wonder what countries the hostages are from DOF is composed by Austria, Croatia, India and Philippines. correction at 5am http://www.washingtonpost.com/world/middle_east/syria-rebels-abduct-20-un-observers/2013/03/07/00ca462c-8707-11e2-9d71-f0feafdd1394_story.html .. if indeed this was a correction where did the reports that they demanded Syria forces withdrawl from a village ...??? peculiar...? "A video in which the kidnappers warned that the observers would not be released until Syrian President Bashar al-Assad withdrew troops from the area had been deleted" Apparently they were Philippinos... I'm actually very surprised how active the Philippines is globally for its size, in regard to the middle east. -
