Bering Sea Pipeline for exports into Asia
shortlived replied to shortlived's topic in Canada / United States Relations
Well I think it is in Russias interst to have a route from Alaska to the continental us give a little to get a little. Note the Berring Sraight is only 55 meters deep. that is half a 100meter race which can be run in less than 10 seconds. This offers a much more economical and safer solution to tanker cargo traffic. Russia needs US and Canadian Partnership for TNC to be viable, so it makes sense the three countries, and even china and ASEAN work together to make that a reality that allows for free trade via an internationally operated tunnel. Point is Russia needs Canada to get the continental US, there are no grounds for witholding equal access to Asian Markets. This removes the contentious issue of cutting a swatch of forest in BC through native land and having oil tanker off the coast. It is a winwin, more economical, safer, and more environmentally friendly. -
Canadian Forces = Canadian Armed Forces
shortlived replied to shortlived's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
It seems that Canadian Armed Force is not used though, where is it used ? example canadian forces is used in the act... 2. (1) The Governor in Council may make regulations for the organization, training, discipline, efficiency, administration and good government of the Canadian Forces and you don't seem to be correct, it doesn't say Canadian Armed Forces in the act... where are you getting that from? http://laws-lois.justice.gc.ca/eng/acts/N-5/ the act seems to ignore its own self declaration...14. The Canadian Forces are the armed forces of Her Majesty raised by Canada and consist of one Service called the Canadian Armed Forces. This is the only place armed seems to occur and the DND does not call the Canadian Forces the Canadian Armed Forces. lwtf. -
Canadian Forces = Canadian Armed Forces
shortlived replied to shortlived's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Holy ship http://www.forces.gc.ca/site/home-accueil-eng.asp just went dead... Its back up again though... none the less... I think that the use of Canadian Forces as opposed to Canadian Armed forces seems to be how they brand themselves online. example http://www.forces.gc.ca/site/commun/message/index-eng.asp They arn't Canadian Armed Forces members they are Canadian Forces Members.... what do the forces military ID's say etc... Its nothing like it was in the past... back when the forces were merged it was simply department of national defence.. the old cards were more like the US military IDs the new ones look nothing like it.. and are the world Canadian Armed Forces anywhere on them? Everything I have seen seems to indicate Canadian Forces is used everywhere. -
hard shoot at someone without ammunition. Conservative attack ads.. he has styled hair, is the son of a former prime minister, and doesn't have an agenda! People paid to hear him speak, and now he wants to be PM! This former teacher, wants to teach people liberal ideas... a vote for Trudeau is a vote for the liberals!
-
Does this mean thay are now the CAF rather than the CF? http://www.canada.com/Canadian+Forces+quietly+name/8085657/story.html http://www.forces.gc.ca/site/home-accueil-eng.asp looks like the website hasn't made new banners and updates to all their webpages yet.......................

Free Post Secondary Education in Canada
shortlived replied to shortlived's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Stopping riots makes sense. Those 20 students arrested, and people seriously wounded costs money. There is no reason not to provide free education. There is no legitimate reason not to condense 15 different programs with staffing and administrative overhead into one program. The system as it currently is makes no sense. Little sense is better than no sense and nonsense. -
the taxi suggestion is genius. It would have to be a preferential rate though due to fare dumping during a call. There isn't enough free room for mail delivery but canada post could act as back up paramedics in emergencies. they arn't decked out well enough speed wise and equipment which is expensive. The firefighters could drive buses if they are trainined in pumper etc.. driving in an evaculation scenario if there wern't available bus drivers for all available buses as could truck drivers. but the police taxi thing would work for patrol drivers or a segment of patrol drivers. Some people might prefer police cabis while others might opt for commercial. I wouldn't expect it to bring in as much as a cabi would get, but it would soften the costs a tini bit, and give the cops a chance to get to know people in their communities outside of a victim/criminal context.

Free Post Secondary Education in Canada
shortlived replied to shortlived's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
Well it free for the tax payer, and an alumni plan for those who take part. The difference here is that it shifts the cost of education from the Joe Blow tax payer, Joe Blow doen't pay a cent for Perfect Stranger's education. That 5 Billion invested by Joe Blows and Perfect Stranger gets transfered over to Perfect Stranger who in the past got access to those tax funds. It also improves the system by removing administrative barriers and red tape, administrative staffing costs, paperwork, multiple programs that do the same thing, time wasted applying for the 20 different grants, bursaries and scholarships. It saves Joe Blows money for services Joe Blow has access to, while directing the funds to Perfect stranger, that is why it is free fair and more effective program delivery, not by tax but by a direct payment. Taxes don't go to services directly, they arn't protected. But this service, is something paid by the people who access it, and it isn't a general revenue fund tax, it is a contractual service fee that is paid into year after year much like a student loan, but it is guaranteed, no need for all the nonsense. Also these funds don't go to Perfect Stranger, they go direct to the institution that perfect stranger attends. This is why it is free, fair, and more effective. It rolls a mountain of red tape, and paper, and administration into a direct payment to educational institution for citizens who opt for free education. No loans just free education, and the cost of free education is collectively shared by those who access it, not by the Joe Blows. Simply put these arn't taxes, it makes post secondary education tax free. Within 10 years the small fees that alumni are paying can fully fund one new enrollment, within 20 years they are sponsoring two new students each. Year on year new alumni pick up more and more of the financial burden for post secondary education. It is only a matter of getting to the threshold that the government pays into the program, who is paying 2.6-3% of their income into the alumni fund year 3 year 1's 3 years +/- year 4 year 2's 3 years and 4 years + year 1's 3 years +/- year 5 year 3' s 3 years and 4 years + year 2's 3 years and 4 years + year 1's 3 years +/- year 6 year 4's 3 years and 4 year + year 3' s 3 years and 4 years + year 2's 3 years and 4 years + year 1's 3 years +/- year 7 year 5's + year 4's 3 years and 4 year + year 3' s 3 years and 4 years + year 2's 3 years and 4 years + year 1's 3 years +/- year 8 year 6's 3 year +year 5's + year 4's 3 years and 4 year + year 3' s 3 years and 4 years + year 2's 3 years and 4 years + year 1's 3 years +/- year 9 year 7's 3 years + year 8 year 6's 3 year +year 5's + year 4's 3 years and 4 year + year 3' s 3 years and 4 years + year 2's 3 years and 4 years + year 1's 3 years +/- year 10 year 8's 3 years + year 7's year 8 year 6's 3 year +year 5's + year 4's 3 years and 4 year + year 3' s 3 years and 4 years + year 2's 3 years and 4 years + year 1's 3 years +/- year 11 etc.. year 12 etc... year 13 etc.... year 14 etc... and so on. of course any masters or doctorates or free special programs would also be paying into it too. -
No it isn't. It is a constitutional monarchy and has a federal government. The state is not federal the monarchy is the state. The Federal government is not soveriegn. "supreme independent authority over a geographic area." is held by the monarch, and exercised by the federal government according to monarchs instructions. "is neither dependent on nor subject to any other power or state"

Inuit don't have treaties they have agreements or agreements in principle there is a difference. You are blurring different parts of Canada, they arn't the same, much like the Queen of England is not the Queen of Canada. The treaties are by the head of state and the head of state has the duty to uphold the treaties, which is the totality of executive government, not in just the federal arm, but also the provinces. Most treaties were signed over resource access, which is provincial in scope, conducted as spurred by provincial inclination. All treaties before 1867 were provincial (eventually or held by the British Crown), and treaties after likewise. The manitoba act with the metis is the exception, likewise agreements with inuits also. Even the most recent deals have been provincially mandated such as in BC. example http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_Columbia_Treaty_Process

I'm not materially productive, I'm a total leach, my only real benefits are feeding birds and other small game as well as adding insights to boards such as mapleleaf web, as well as providing personal services that are mostly things that an apt person could learn from surfing the web or reading a well written textbook on a given subject. They arn't idiotic ideas, they are good ideas. I support genocide of bad people who will do bad things to people, that is not morally wrong, it is morally right, you just don't like the word. I think if I had the option of offing someone who wanted to do very nasty things to you such as give you ebola, you'd thank me for drowning them. Take a look maybe you'll support genocide too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0aZoxfE9_fg

The only thing going green is the Arctic.
shortlived replied to kairos's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
ok maybe created global warming was more appropriate than invented, sorry I should remember to give credit where it is due, the skill to which you have mastered so greatly. -
Yes. As well as how to defeat those delusions threats. In reality though aluminum foil not much tinfoil is made anymore. worthy of?

The only thing going green is the Arctic.
shortlived replied to kairos's topic in Federal Politics in Canada
But what is in it for Americans to invent global warming and climate change? Something doesn't add up. -
Inuit are NOT first nations. The situation with the Inuit and the territories is much different than that with the provinces for multiple reasons including the currency of the Inuit land deals. They didn't happen the same way. Canada is a constitutional monarchy not a federal state. There is a federal government not a federal state. Canada is not a republic.

Even if it is called the Navy? Iran delivers goods with their navy. What international law are you referring to? Do share. I never said they are unarmed. You said they are unarmed. Try again. Also a suprise attack against Canada's navy likely would see it at the bottom of the sea. Hence the "surprise" part. Dude, what indicates these arn't war ships, because they can carry cargos. You are out of touch with the role of most ships of the line in various countries militaries having multi functions for humanitarian relief and evacuation amongst lobbing shells at people in unfriendly nations. You seem to be recreating the whole thing and not realizing what role the navy actually plays in real life. How does this relate to what I've stated. It doesn't. You are inventing a scenario that has nothing to do with what I have said. My plan grows technical experience, your plan transfers Canadian assets to foreign countries, see the difference. HOW DOES THIS RELATE TO MY PLAN? HOW DOES THIS RELATE TO MY PLAN? Too bad so sad, suck it up. Stupid people need not apply to public safety. I'm getting stressed reading your nonsense so we may both be served by this fact.
-
I didn't refute that, I just said it is a bad model and doesn't serve the tax payers interests.

Instead of building a pipeline to export via tankers, why not build a pipeline to Siberia along with a landroute berring bridge or tunnel Canada is big on energy exports to asia so why not just build a pipeline across the berring straight? Why not make this deal multinational http://oilsandstruth.org/russia-build-tunnel-rail-highways-and-pipelines-alaska

http://news.nationalpost.com/2013/03/12/lucky-moose-bill-loosens-self-defence-citizens-arrest-laws/ So the citizens arrest bill came into effect today. So now Canadians can arrest people they think are breaking the law, for example to defend their property. Even if they are not actively engaged in doing so when the arrest takes place. http://www.ctvnews.ca/canada/lucky-moose-law-extending-powers-of-citizen-s-arrest-takes-effect-1.1190725

This is what they teach you in the military take a chill pill and catch some zzz's on sentry. That service you did sounds like it was oh so important and vital to Canada.
-
Sure I read what you wrote but I see no treaty you've provided where the natives signed with the federal government. Pretty blatantly obvious point. The manitoba act was an act of parliament, any other parliamentary acts in there?
-
Why are their ships unarmed, what do they need to do? What can't they get done with torpedos mobile rocket systems and super machine guns? try reading what I've posted three times already before just writing a response to something entirely different from what I wrote. Why is Canada intervening in the middle east? There is no war there. There is no declared war, it is against international law to wage war according to the UN charter. Why is Canada dumping tax dollars down the toilet on a place that has no direct sea or land routes to Canada? Not attacking the idea, here. You are labeling me as someone who doesn't know about design of nautical and naval systems. They have not made good ships, for instance the US national security cutters were made to last only 3 years in their operating environment, that is what your... highly skilled people did. There is nothing in what I said indicates any of my plan is inoperable, you are spouting nonsense. I think torpedos rockets and machine guns are more than enough deterrent to stop illegal fishing. You are being nonsensical. Anything more serious can be met with helicopters and jets. Not at all. I said very clearly. Having a gun for hunting doesn't mean you don't have a gun for killing. Once again your logic is faulty. You are painting my words in a false light. Having forces that can perform both functions is totally within bounds. You are being nonsensical again. Yes police and fire departments should be merged, it would be far better to have only firefighting police, much like the military having firefighters but still having soldiers. Your people can only do one thing position is just plain retarded. Your military is only meant to drain money, that is why it fails and can't be supported without extorting from tax payers. You military design is stupid. Dedicated forces are ineffective in defence, they are only used for occupation and destroying foreign nations of lesser technological capacity. It serves no benefit for Canada to have its forces designed in that fashion. Try addressing the reason my plan doesn't work, not that it doesn't match your vision for how the military should look and act. You are wasting tax payer funds for a theatrical production rather than utility and that is why your view fails. capacity fits on a stick. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Davy_Crockett_(nuclear_device) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:W48_155-millimeter_nuclear_shell.jpg We are going to need to build bigger rail guns, ideally capable of reaching space for actual defence needs, and base air defence around defending those rail guns, or missile launch sites. This is the naval war that is coming http://www.popsci.com/technology/article/2012-08/its-experimental-rail-gun-navy-wants-gps-guided-hypersonic-projectiles example http://www.defence.pk/forums/chinese-defence/89492-china-has-developed-its-own-electromagnetic-railgun.html http://www.smartplanet.com/blog/bulletin/navy-gets-another-hypersonic-railgun-fires-test-shots/3317 you will need thels capable of knocking these things out of the air.

You have severe problems with economical programs, and cost savings. It is oh so clear my plan is great because you are forced to lob ad hominems against me rather than critique my plan. You fail. Try to redeem yourself with address what is fantasy and unreal about "This navy issue though, needs to address the realities of the future. A strong arctic capable merchant marine with the ability weaponize at a future date. This buy really expensive equipment that can be built for a fraction of the cost BS is nonsense, get technicians to build it, stop paying prices garnered by IP blockades. Build the tech by techs, get our ship builders to be able to build arctic capable hulls and equipment, that's all you need. aside from ships able to intergrate energy weapons, perhaps super caviated torpedos and some supermachine gun mounts. Canada doesn't need big ships it needs small craft capble of performing in the arctic as well as in the great lakes which could act as ferry boats or inter great lake cargos, plus cargoes. Some boats that can operate on the mississipi might be good too. Big ships are big targets. The only big ships should be freighters/cargos able to be converted into use as helipads and aircraft carriers. That way they can earn their keep and still be used for emergencies. These acquisitions should not be looked at from a solely military standpoint, they should primarily integrate the commercial use and secondary military function. The key is instilling in the CF/navy an ability to build and maintain its own electronic systems. Also rolling the navy into the coast guard should also occur, perhaps just calling them Maritime Forces, if deployed outside Canada they could be called NAVY and if deployed within Canadian seas Coast Gaurd. ex. http://www.navy.forc...c/0/0-w_eng.asp This merchant marine aspect would provide much better global deployment of Canadian forces to points of economic interest to Canadians by default."
