  1. I didn't say it ranked #10 I said it was in the top 10. It actually ranks number 9: he Vancouver School of Economics at the University of British Columbia placed at the top of the study’s rankings, followed (in descending order) by the economics departments at the University of Toronto, Queen’s University and the University of Western Ontario. Here’s a look at the top 10: After getting his Masters and before becoming PM, Harper wrote a number of papers on economic topics. He also was the President of the NCC for a number of years in efforts to lower taxes. While he was PM....well he was busy being PM. Trudeau speaks to a University and that counts as adding to his experience?
  2. My main point is proving you know little about what you are talking about. You claimed he didn't push any pipelines though in his time in office. WRONG. Keystone did go through. Technically the Northern Gateway also went though (NEB approved) however it certainly didn't take long for Trudeau to squash that. The other pipelines were very recently applied and gave Harper little to no time to actually 'push them through'. So your claim of 'what did Harper do' holds no water. But don't stop trying....
  3. Yes...the best positioned country after the World Financial Crisis. Are you serious? Its rated one of the top 10 in Canada for economics.
  4. How about Keystone....not XL...the original Keystone. I guess you forgot that one. Of course, you might want to take some time to read some past posts as these drive by accusations of Harper's pipeline record have already been put to bed:
  5. Yeah...someone with a Master's degree in economics versus a drama teacher. Hmmm...how do you pick?
  6. Wait a second...you mean that mean, nasty, go good NEB that HARPER stacked in order to push his projects through???? You actually trust them???
  7. So he's born and raised in Toronto and did his school/worked in Alberta. His grandparents were from New Brunswick. Its fair to say his roots spread across the country.
  8. He was also born and raised in Toronto but I guess that doesn't fit into your meme does it?
  9. Um...no. But nice try. Maybe get out to see Canada and you'll realize how false that statement is.
  10. Its spelled Bragg Creek. Anyone who worked there should know how its spelled. Having said that, Bragg Creek is the gateway to Kananaskis Country which is gorgeous. Just typing Bragg Creek into a Google Image Search comes up with these. https://www.google.ca/search?q=bragg+creek&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiv3diphdLLAhVS8mMKHZbUAU8Q_AUICCgC&biw=1920&bih=955 Why stop short now? Your deliberate attack on Albertans was to compare us to the stereotypical redneck from Alabama. Your clueless portrayal of 'Bertans' is only overshadowed by the fact that you think that people from BC are all the same. Have you been to Dawson's Creek or Kitimat? Compare those people with those from Vancouver or Victoria. I think you would quickly find that saying 'Albertans' are this or 'British Columbians' are that is a fairly shallow and meaningless statement considering within these areas you find very different people depending on where you go. Again...your attack wasn't on the geography of Alberta, it was on the people. Your cowardly retreat is noted but what is also noted is this holier than thou attitude that seems to come from various BC people on this forum as if they invented the mountains or the ocean. You live there. That's great...it is beautiful but that hardly makes you better people than someone from Saskatchewan or New Brunswick or even us 'Bertans. I've been to almost every province in this country as well as most states in the US. The first thing I notice is there are good things to see and nice people to be found in every location. There are also boring sites and bad people in each however I find it interesting to seek out the good people and to make a note of the similarities based on who they are...not on where they live.
  11. Ya...because people are lining up to go with Manitoba!
  12. And let's not forget the obvious. The guy throwing the dinner won't be in office in a matter of months.
  13. Bush didn't have an unemployment rate above 7% until his last month. Obama's average up to this point is 7.8%. Of course, anyone who knows the slightest bit about history would remember what happened in 2008.

The simple fact that I was able to dispel your nonsense claim in one post shows that the only drivel comes out of your posts. Why do you even come on here? It would be one thing if you learned something but clearly you can't/won't

    4. Smoke

      Smoke

Most of the left are like that. It's one of their biggest attributes. Silencing anyone who disagrees. Or drowning it out with their hi-pitched outrage.

  14. That is the whole problem. We make it out like we need their approval. Its a dinner....who cares. Its not like the dinner stopped politics from happening after the fact.
  15. No problem in taking your word. Its good in my books.
  16. And is larger supposed to be better? If so, the Trudeau dinner was one of the worst of all Obama state dinners.
  17. Economically perhaps but not as allies.
  18. Big Guy...it was SmallC that said bigger parties were better. I was just using the recent Trudeau dinner was the smallest to show that his point needs to be considered if using that metric.
  19. Never intended for it to be absolute. Just showing the tendency I never pegged you for a quantity over quality type of guy. But since you want to go there, why was Trudeaus dinner one of the smallest of the dinners that Obama put on? They had about 180 people versus 350 for France and the UK. Even China and Japan got over 200 guests. Perhaps Trudeau wasn't that big of a deal after all?
  20. My point is they didn't care about Harper when he was the leader of the opposition. Just like they didn't know about Trudeau when he was just the leader of the Liberals. Of course if you want to digress further we can talk about what else the Americans don't care about which has nothing to do with my point of partisan politics being at play with the US state dinners. You are for now....but just wait till the next election to see which horse you're backing then. Great. So you have shown one time in Canada where they fed the President and entourage for their working trip. You have yet to show any comparison that this dinner had the same significance as the US state dinner. Trudeau's main mission was for the social dinner. Bush was there on a working visit and got fed. Formula? HAHAHAHAHAHA! Now its a formula? I made an observation that out of seven US state dinners, six of them showed partisan tendencies. There is no formula. I have shown a strong tendency....that does not make it absolute even though you think by showing an example of ONE dinner in Canada that this tendency for US presidents to invite Canadian PMs of the same side doesn't exist. The funny thing is this isn't a slam agains Right or Left....its just the way it is. Its more of a slam to the media or anyone who presents Trudeau's dinner as some huge accomplishment which I guess is why you are fighting tooth and nail to show that my 6 out 7 argument isn't real some how. Well....keep up the good fight.
  21. I made a factual point about Trudeau's gaffe on this but hey if you want to hide behind thread drift instead of acknowledging it as a gaffe then go right ahead. Of course, please show me one thread about Trudeau that doesn't discuss Harper!
  22. No other way? Is that why those politicians from the Baltic states posted that video? Keep digging Smallc....you almost have a hole big enough to bury this gaffe
  23. Latvia....only because I had a teacher from there and she was hot. I'm glad to see you have changed what his actual response was. With that said, he didn't have to pick a country, he could have said 'Too hard to pick' or 'I like them all'. He could have even said he liked one for a similar reason like I stated above. He could have said many things and remained politically correct IF....and only IF he actually new what the Baltics were. So yes....being the the PM of Canada and NOT knowing what the Baltics are is in fact a gaffe.
