  1. It never works since the only people to really benefit from a tax break are the rich and upper middle class. For the middle, lower and poverty class people they have to replace the services that get cut along with the taxes and can barely afford choosing between essential services and having food to eat or a place to sleep.
  2. If it is man's will to die, God will not get in the way.
  3. Like most laws and regulations, the ones advocating for stricter controls come out of the right wing camps. You might want to have a talk with your evangelist Captains in charge of the Conservative Party if you want greater freedoms.
  4. The Haudenosaunee Confederacy goes back over 1000 years.
  5. It is true that Canada doesn't acknowledge Haudenosaunee sovereignty on the surface, they do legally and are presently engaged in negotiation with the Confederacy Government over the land claims at Six Nations. However, China doesn't acknowledge Taiwan's sovereignty either but it doesn't make them less of a country to the rest of the world. The US does recognize the Haudenosaunee passport and are negotiating with the Confederacy for special cards to be recognized for free passage across the border.
  6. Priceless. While the Church - and especially Christianity - has held itself up to be on higher moral ground, you have confirmed what many of us had already known in the the Church and its Christian leaders are no better than politicians. Matthew 15:11, 14, 19-20 Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man. Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch. But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man. For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies: These are the things which defile a man: but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man. Matthew 7:3-5, 11 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye. If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?
  7. The Haudenosaunee Passport of course....And they are presently preparing a special border pass card to enter the US in lieu of having to use their passport. Interesting that us Canadians haven't gotten that far with Homeland Security......
  8. Mohawks are a Nation complete with politics, immigration laws and laws of adoption etc. There is a cultural tradition in the way the government is set up, and there are certain cultural festivals observed, by all in all they are a Nation just like Canada is. They are neither Canadian or American and are part of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy (Iroquois Confederacy) that act as one for their joint benefit. Aboriginal people are indigenous to all of N.A. While that in itself may be considered an "ethnicity" being "Mohawk" is not. The laws of immigration and adoption contained in the Haudenosaunee Great Law, allow for people from outside the nation to come into the nation and participate. Doing so doesn't make them indigenous, but it does make them Mohawk IF they have been adopted by someone who is. By and large, many Mohawk people would be considered "Caucasian", not because they are descended from English or French or any other European country, but because many of the Mohawks are fair skinned, with blond hair and blue eyes, and fine features. Now that doesn't make them a "race" either for the purpose of argument but it means they share common physical features just like other Caucasian people.
  9. I watch lacrosse, year round. And football (the soccer kind) in between. Hockey is hokey and has lost its flavour with too many teams, bloated salaries and useless commentary. Lacrosse on the other hand is finesse, grace speed and power.
  10. Nope, not really. Mohawks are a nation. And just like Canada is being diluted by immigrants intermarrying with people who have been here for a long time, it doesn't change them being Canadians in anyway. While some of you may complain about the dilution, a Ukrainian descendant, or a Chinese descendant are every bit as much Canadian as are the English descendants. Regaining land base, and control of their government has nothing to do with blood quantum. BQ is an colonial invention designed to remove status and ultimately claim over land so no one will "legally" (by Canadian definition) be around to contest the stolen land grabs.
  11. Are you suggesting that blonds are an "identifiable group" and that I was promoting hatred against them, Kimmy? Should we issue a directive to the police to frisk women to look for dark roots? Maybe we should ask for DNA samples to seek if the blond gene is really there? Or were you just having a blond moment? (BTW Kimmy...just between you and me...that isn't hate speech defined by law. It is a comedy shtick.)
  12. I agree. They culture their speech towards a certain extreme right wing ideology. Just like the line between extreme conservatism and fascism is blurry, so is the line between the right to free speech and the promotion of hatred. By grooming discussion in only one direction they prove they have control over, and moderation over their members. If one person is found to be promoting hatred and they have done nothing about it then they are all guilty by fact they have control.
  13. Oh I understand the contrivance of Conservative apologetics. It just isn't in context here.
  14. Piss ants are my favourite target.
  15. I'm hardly upset. Sometimes it is fun to play with ants especially when they are trying to avoid the burning....
  16. Prove it. It is nice you think that your opinion is fact but saying it over and over again doesn't make it so. I said "Prove it." Don't just repeat the same boring and mundane incompetent opinions.
  17. Besides you being my intellectual inferior. Na...I have much more but you don't have the capacity to understand the simple multiple syllable words and I would need to go there to explain it..
  18. Zzzzzzzzzzzz. Maybe you should go to bed now. You're up a little late eh.....
  19. Ya I thought so. You're just talking out of your ear. Cultural marxism? What are you on? Must be some good chit......
  20. Prove it. Otherwise you are talking out of the exit side of your fuel intake.
  21. jefferiah...jefferiah..... I have exercised tons of self control given the racist ramblings ....None of my statements are even close to warranting anything under human rights geeeezzzz. You must be a teeny bopper since only someone lacking that much in worldly intelligence would make as many errors in judgement as you have demonstrated here. So you want to get into Bible quotations eh?.... 1 Thessalonians 4:13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. Perhaps being as young and ignorant as you are there is some hope that you might eventually get it....I forgive you for your sleepfulness.
  22. I don't have any problem with superficial people either.
  23. Don't be so stogey. The courts will determine if they commited the crime by inciting hatred. That's what they are "accused" of and that is how serious allegations are settled. Freedom of opinion is a guaranteed Charter right and one that I would help defend. However, that right is limited by law, where the opinion is used to incted someone to hate. While there is a fine line between that expression of an opinion and the crime, when accused of such crimes it is not up to us (anymore than we can determine guilt or innocence in any other crime without a full examination of all the evidence) to determine the outcome. All we can do is speculate...and if that is what you want, I can offer up some interesting FBI /CIA conspiracy theories for ya..... Ernst Zundel is in Germany now facing his crimes. Canada deported him after finding that he incited hate against the Jews by publishing propaganda that said the Jews fabricated the whole holocaust. So is he not guilty too? And would you replace the authority of the learned judge that deported him with your minimal opinion? BTW Conservatism is a lie and is intollerant to change.
  24. I disagree. There isn't enough self-regulation in society. Therefore the state must regulate when they cannot regulate themselves. The use of the right of freedom of speech cannot be abused to perpetrate a crime. Inciting hate against an identifiable group is a crime in Canada and FD is accused of crossing the line. Let them deal with it in the way these things are settled - in a court of law. If they have done nothing wrong they will be vindicated. If they have, they will be punished accordingly. Trying to suggest that the complainant is trying to stifle free speech is absurd. Without challenges how would we ever assert it as a right?
  25. Freedom of speech is not under attack. Harbouring hate literature under the guise of free speech never has been allowed. However, until now the internet has always escaped that slight of hand. Now not only the authors of hate speech should be aware but the operators of web forums like this should be a little more diligent in editing and moderating their content. Ottawa Man Fined for Promoting Hatred {snippet} "The Canadian Human Rights Tribunal yesterday ordered Bobby James Wilkinson to stop engaging in hate speech and fined him $4,000 for postings on an Internet site he hosted on behalf of a fledgling neo-Nazi movement he hoped would usher in a society free from ethnic minorities, gays and Jews."
